We feel as though this mass firing was correlated with our organizing for safer workplace conditions for our coworkers. This is not the first time that DDP restaurant group has treated their employers poorly, we are just the newest example of their poor labor practices.

She is a woman of immense pride and work ethic; she never intended to ask for help. However, due to recent and ongoing ICE operations in our area, it has become unsafe for her to continue her current work. Yaritza is a documented immigrant, but at risk as her case is being reviewed.

The first grade daughter is an aspiring dancer who shares the beauty of traditional dances from Venezuela.

<div>On Sunday night, Xelas by El Sazón was directly targeted, and one of our staff members was stopped while leaving the restaurant. After being interrogated and presenting his documentation, he was released. While we are grateful he is safe, this incident has changed our immediate plans.
