After being replaced with QR codes, former Cardamom staff need your help.

We are seeking $50,000 to cover rent, groceries, utilities, pet related expenses and car payments to support us until we can find new and equivalent employment.

OUR STORY:

Over the past few months especially at the height of MetroSurge, we had been organizing for better workplace protections due to the height of ICE's presence. We feel as though this mass firing was correlated with our organizing for safer workplace conditions for our coworkers. This is not the first time that DDP restaurant group has treated their employers poorly, we are just the newest example of their poor labor practices.

Right now, we are unsure when we will be able to find comparable, safe and consistent employment again due to the precarious situation of many restaurants in the aftermath of OMS.

HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED:

Distribution of funds will be needs based, with those having the highest bills and no other employment receiving a larger proportion of funds.
