 My mother recently lost her husband, life partner, and business partner after a long and incredibly difficult year-long battle with cancer. Throughout the past year, they faced countless challenges together, including multiple surgeries, severe complications that left him unable to continue chemotherapy due to an allergic reaction, and unimaginable pain. Through it all, they remained by each other’s side, focusing on making the most of every moment together.

 As his health declined, the business they built together was forced to remain closed for an extended period, creating a significant financial strain while they navigated mounting medical expenses and the realities of his illness.

 His passing has left an unimaginable void in my mother’s life and an overwhelming burden on her shoulders. In addition to grieving the loss of the love of her life, she is now facing funeral expenses, everyday living costs, and the challenge of keeping the business they built together—and his dream—alive.

Supporting My Mother After Her Loss

<div>Hello, my name is Katie Albert. I am writing this in regards to <strong>Tam Son (Eazmoe)</strong>. Today, our life was flipped upside down when Tam was taken unfairly from us by ICE. Tam is a father of 5 to children that love him dearly, we are so heartbroken. Tam is such an inspiration to so many people and has always been someone that a person can look up to, go to for advice or when they just need a friend. Tam has a large loving community on his side and right now is the time he needs support the most. He does not deserve this, he does not deserve to be living in the conditions that immigration facilities are in. He belongs at home with his family. We never ask anything from anyone, but we are under some unfortunate circumstances in this moment. We are both dedicated, hardworking people and help our community whenever we are able, out of the kindness of our hearts.

<p><strong style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"><span style="font-size:22pt;">Clinton-Joan M. (Savage) McDonald, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Leominster.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William P. McDonald, Sr., and their son, William P. McDonald, Jr.  She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Peete, with whom she lived, of Clinton; daughter-in-law Lisa McDonald of Clinton; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Chase &amp; wife Meaghan, William P. McDonald III &amp; his companion Melissa Carmody, Audrey McDonald, and Meghan Michaud &amp; her companion Michael Allen; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Mya.  She leaves her siblings, Walter Savage of SC; Betty Dmochkowski of Paxton; Donna Norwood &amp; husband Stan; brother-in-law John Mahoney of Worcester; nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.  She is pre-deceased by three sisters, Shirley Olson, Beverly Marsh, and Janice Mahoney.</span></strong><span style="color:#333333;"><br /></span>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size:22pt;">Daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Moore) Savage, Joan was born in Worcester and attended local schools.  In addition to raising her family, she enjoyed her lifelong career as a proof reader, working for the Colonial Press and Graphicon, until retiring.  She spent recent years as a part-time payroll employee for the Clinton Hospital, where she was blessed with an abundance of friendships.  A voracious romance novel reader, Joan always had a book in her hand.  Her additional enjoyments include playing Bingo, solving puzzles, horseback riding, and trips to Maine.  Fiercely independent, she was the proud matriarch of her family, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
