<div>Our family has recently been hit with a devastating financial hardship as we face the end-of-life care of my father. Those that know me personally also know my vehicle repair recently was $2,354 and seen the paid bill.

<div>During this incredibly difficult time, we are now also fighting to save my best friend, Tom. The Devil is not done knocking at my door and throwing everything at me.

<div>Tom is suffering from 6 severely abscessed teeth that have caused serious infection throughout his body. The infection has led to a double ear infection, dehydration, and a heartbreaking 9 lb weight loss. Because eating is extremely painful for him, I am currently syringe feeding him just to keep his strength up.

<div>On 04/06/2026, I used the last of my available funds to begin treatment for Tom’s ear and mouth infections, totaling $824. The veterinarian has advised urgent dental extractions to stop the infection before it spreads further.

Be a Helmet Hero : Free Motorcycle Helmets for Kids

<span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">On March 5th 2020 Jesse was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called T-Cell Leukemia. Jesse is 8 years young and fighting through this like a true hero. On March 4th we found a mass on Jesse's lower neck, his lymph nodes were severely swollen and by the the 5th almost every lymph node in his body was enlarged and swollen and causing him pain. Then the results came back and we had the worst news any family could ever get; that he had leukemia...  He was in the hospital for 2 weeks straight for his first stage of hard chemotherapy. After being released his long 4 year battle began. He is going in 3 to 5 times a week for treatment and blood work to make sure the cancer isn't spreading. He has had 7 lumbar puncture's(spinal tap) of chemo straight into his spine. And this little boy is still smiling through everything like a champ! But the financial toll on this single income family has been a tough one.  They have put 28,621 miles on they're only car sense March, 3,380 miles just in July. They have had to use they're savings on car repairs, gas to get from Boothbay Harbor to Scarborough(Maine) which is 1 hour and 14 minutes every 3 to 5 days, and for medicines that the insurance is having issues covering. They have also had to put extra money towards special foods for Jesse because the chemo has made his taste and smell change and the chemotherapy he is on now made him go into anaphylactic shock therefore they can't do that treatment anymore and now they are trying to find another treatment but if they can't find one they have to do radiation on Jesse. Which is even worse on his body and what they want to avoid. So far this family just can't catch a break... The money raised will be put towards gas, car repairs, housing and hospital stays, medications when needed and food his stomach will let him hold down. <div>My father is my Superman—the strongest man I know and the only parent I have. I lost my mother—his beloved spouse—to cancer in 2016, just years after he fought his own battle with stage 4 cancer in 2006. Cancer has not only taken so much from our family emotionally, but it has also devastated us financially. After his own fight, my mother’s illness drained what little stability we had left. We have never been able to get ahead of this awful disease.

<div>My dad was a dedicated General Motors Engineer, but cancer forced him out just prior to retirement. He worked hard his entire life, yet he never truly had the chance to enjoy it. Now, he is in the end stages of incurable lung disease, and time is no longer on our side.

<div>There are no savings left—cancer bills have stolen everything, leaving us struggling to keep up with the cost of medical care/co-pays and daily life. On top of his health struggles, his home is in desperate need of repair. Palliative care and hospice are now on board to help keep him as comfortable as possible, but I want to do everything I can to give him dignity, peace, and comfort in his remaining days.
