Day 1 complete. 1 mile walked.

I'm walking 30 miles with my dog to help the American Cancer Society (ACS) fight for scientific research, community outreach, and cures for cancer. This is a very meaningful cause for me. I have lost close family to cancer and still have others battling the disease. With the help of my new pup, Benito, I am challenging myself to reach and surpass this walking goal. I'm not an exerciser at all and I only started moving because of Benito. This 9 1/2 month old ball of energy pulls me outside to walk, play, and sometimes run. He is the motivation (and now responsibility) to get out and exercise. Walking might not seem like much, but for me it has already been an amazing experience. I look forward to posting updates on our progress... and I promise it will be predominately of Benito. Since I know were also here for the cute dog pics.
