The Hernandez family is humbly asking for help during one of the hardest moments we have ever faced. Please help us in getting our father returned safely to his family.
Recently, while our father, Carlos Hernandez Cabrera, was working he was suddenly taken by I.C.E. agents without a warrant for his arrest and without any explanation or information given to us. We still have no answers about where he was taken or what his current situation is, and every day that passes fills us with fear and uncertainty.
Our father, who is 66 years old, has multiple serious medical conditions. He takes daily medication for diabetes and high blood pressure and has been undergoing treatment for skin cancer. We do not know if he is receiving the care he urgently needs. His health is fragile, and time is extremely important.
Since immigrating to the US in 1994, our parents, Carlos and Teresa, did everything they could with the little they had to give their 6 children a future. Carlos has been a street vendor in LA for over 20 years where he's become a well recognized person to K-town community who knows him for his kind personality and hard working attitude selling household cleaning supplies. Where our family is short in resources, we make up for with the immense love that fills our home. Our father has always put his family first by never letting us go hungry and spends his days working tirelessly to support his wife of 46 years.
Right now, we are doing everything we can to find legal assistance, access information, and advocate for his well-being and his right to due process. With our mother needing to continue selling despite her husbands absence, we worry of the costs that will begin to add up and the reality is we cannot do it alone.
We are asking our community for help to cover:
- Legal Support and representation
- Fees for locating and communication with him
- Travel for transportation if he is moved
- Support for our mother and his family during this difficult time

We just want our dad home with us again, safe and receiving the medical care he needs.
