Annie's story began when she appeared at our gate all alone as a tiny foal. Despite our efforts to find her mum, we later discovered the heartbreaking truth that her mother had sadly died, leaving Annie orphaned and vulnerable.
Since then, Annie has been given a second chance thanks to the incredible care and dedication of her foster carer, Jayne. She has grown into a beautiful young pony and is looking better than ever. Her confidence is growing, she is gaining condition, and she has a wonderful personality.
However, Annie has one significant ongoing issue.
She is constantly lame.
We always knew Annie would never be a ridden pony due to how poorly put together she is physically, but our concern has never been whether she can be ridden. Our concern is whether she is comfortable and pain-free.
Jayne, who knows Annie better than anyone, is becoming increasingly concerned that Annie may be living with pain. Before we can continue her rehabilitation and make plans for her future, we need to understand exactly what is causing her lameness.
We would therefore like to raise £350 to cover a veterinary visit and X-rays. This will help us determine whether Annie is in pain, what treatment options may be available, and what the kindest path forward is for her.
After everything Annie has been through, we owe it to her to get the answers she deserves.
If you would like to help Annie, no matter how small the donation, we would be incredibly grateful. Every penny will go directly towards her veterinary assessment.
Thank you for supporting this special little girl and helping us give her the best possible future. ❤️
