I'm a professional logger and tree faller with 30 years of experience, but right now, I'm facing one of the hardest times of my life. After being laid off, I haven't been able to get unemployment, and I'm struggling to afford food. I'm two months behind on rent, and my electric bill is overdue with a shut-off notice from Avista. Both of my chainsaws have broken down, and I can't get them running again. Without a working saw, I can't take on side jobs or help my community with tree removal and fire mediation. There are many opportunities for me to earn, but I need a chainsaw to get back to work. If I don't get funds soon, I will be homeless and without power. I've always paid my own bills and worked hard, but now I'm out of options. I've applied to dozens of jobs, but haven't been called for interviews.
