I'm a professional logger and tree faller with 30 years of experience, but right now, I'm facing one of the hardest times of my life. After being laid off, I haven't been able to get unemployment, and I'm struggling to afford food. I'm two months behind on rent, and my electric bill is overdue with a shut-off notice from Avista. Both of my chainsaws have broken down, and I can't get them running again. Without a working saw, I can't take on side jobs or help my community with tree removal and fire mediation.
