B.A.R.K. NEEDS A RESCUE MOBILE! ❤️ We've officially reached a point in our rescue journey where we need something we've been putting off for quite some time… a vehicle dedicated to our rescue dogs! As many of you know, B.A.R.K. is run by volunteers who pour their hearts, time, and personal resources into saving dogs. Between transporting dogs from shelters, getting them to veterinary appointments, attending adoption events, arranging meet and greets, and delivering them to their foster or forever homes, our personal vehicles have been putting in some SERIOUS miles! And while we wouldn't trade what we do for anything, the wear and tear on our personal vehicles is starting to catch up with us. So we're reaching out to our amazing community for help! ❤️ WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Monetary donations to help us purchase a reliable, rescue-dedicated vehicle. Every dollar, no matter how small, will help us get closer to that goal! Local dealerships that may be willing to donate a vehicle or work with us to make purchasing one more affordable. Individuals who may have a vehicle they're looking to sell and would consider donating it to a good cause or offering it at a significantly reduced price. We aren't looking for anything fancy! We don't need a brand-new vehicle with all the bells and whistles. Just something safe, dependable, with working A/C and enough room to transport our precious cargo! ❤️ Having a dedicated rescue vehicle would make an INCREDIBLE difference in our day-to-day operations. It would allow our volunteers to continue doing what they love without constantly putting additional miles and wear on their own vehicles. And most importantly, it would help us continue saying YES to dogs who desperately need us. ❤️ HOW CAN YOU HELP? Donate toward our rescue vehicle fund! Connect us with a dealership or someone who may be willing to donate a vehicle! SHARE THIS POST! You never know who might see it and be in a position to help! We know this is a BIG ask, but we've seen firsthand what this community can accomplish when we come together for the dogs. Maybe somewhere out there is a vehicle just waiting to become the official B.A.R.K. Rescue Mobile! From all of us at Brevard Alliance Rescuing K9's (B.A.R.K.), thank you for continuing to believe in our mission and helping us give these dogs the second chances they deserve. ❤️ Please message us if you have any leads, connections, or would like to help contribute toward our rescue vehicle! Because every mile we drive is another step toward saving a life. ❤️
Daisy was a 13-week-old heeler mix puppy who came into our rescue after being pulled from a shelter. She was playful, sweet, and quickly captured the hearts of everyone she met. We were so excited to help her find a loving family, but her journey took a heartbreaking turn. On her way to us, Daisy suffered her first seizure, and from that moment, her life became a series of emergency vet visits, hospital stays, and constant monitoring. Despite the best efforts of her foster family—who provided her with love, comfort, and expert care—Daisy’s seizures became more frequent and severe. She was hospitalized overnight, placed on IV fluids and strong medications, and watched around the clock as we fought to give her every chance at recovery. Our team poured our hearts into Daisy’s care, refusing to give up on her. We celebrated every small victory, like a seizure-free night or a hopeful response to medication. But after multiple episodes and exhausting every option, the vet believed Daisy was suffering from distemper and recommended euthanasia as the most merciful choice. Surrounded by love, Daisy crossed the rainbow bridge. She wasn’t with us long, but she was family, and she left this world knowing she was cherished. Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful for the kindness and support shown by our community. Daisy’s medical care has left our rescue with significant vet bills, depleting the funds we rely on to help other animals in need. We’re asking for your help to cover these expenses so we can continue our mission and honor Daisy’s memory. Please consider donating or sharing Daisy’s story. Your support means the world to us and to every animal who needs a second chance. Thank you for standing with us and for Daisy.
