Daisy was a 13-week-old heeler mix puppy who came into our rescue after being pulled from a shelter. She was playful, sweet, and quickly captured the hearts of everyone she met. We were so excited to help her find a loving family, but her journey took a heartbreaking turn.
On her way to us, Daisy suffered her first seizure, and from that moment, her life became a series of emergency vet visits, hospital stays, and constant monitoring. Despite the best efforts of her foster family—who provided her with love, comfort, and expert care—Daisy’s seizures became more frequent and severe. She was hospitalized overnight, placed on IV fluids and strong medications, and watched around the clock as we fought to give her every chance at recovery.
Our team poured our hearts into Daisy’s care, refusing to give up on her. We celebrated every small victory, like a seizure-free night or a hopeful response to medication. But after multiple episodes and exhausting every option, the vet believed Daisy was suffering from distemper and recommended euthanasia as the most merciful choice.
Surrounded by love, Daisy crossed the rainbow bridge. She wasn’t with us long, but she was family, and she left this world knowing she was cherished. Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful for the kindness and support shown by our community.
Daisy’s medical care has left our rescue with significant vet bills, depleting the funds we rely on to help other animals in need. We’re asking for your help to cover these expenses so we can continue our mission and honor Daisy’s memory. Please consider donating or sharing Daisy’s story. Your support means the world to us and to every animal who needs a second chance. Thank you for standing with us and for Daisy.
