What they care about

My name is Scott, and I am reaching out for help during the most difficult time of my life. After battling cancer, undergoing multiple surgeries, and living with a disability, I have lost everything and am now homeless. Each day brings new challenges, and I am doing my best to stay hopeful and find a way forward. The support I receive will go directly toward daily essentials—things like food, shelter, and basic necessities that most people take for granted. I am determined to rebuild my life, but I cannot do it alone. Every bit of help makes a real difference and gives me hope for a better future. Being without a home has shown me how important community and kindness are. Even the smallest act of generosity can help me take a step toward stability and healing. If you are able to support me in any way, I am deeply grateful. Anything helps, and your kindness means more than words can express. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation.
Hello, my name is Scott. Sharing this is not easy for me — I’ve always been someone who worked hard and took pride in standing on my own two feet. But life has taken a painful turn, and I find myself in a place I never imagined. After undergoing surgery on both hips, doctors discovered cancer. Since then, my health has declined, and I’m no longer able to work. Without an income or a stable place to live, I’ve ended up on the streets — something I never thought would happen. Every day is a struggle against constant pain, exhaustion, and hopelessness. I also suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that has severely affected my speech and memory. I’m still fighting to recover, but it’s a slow, difficult road. The challenges have become overwhelming — medical bills, basic needs, and the simple wish for a roof over my head feel impossible to reach without help. I’m embarrassed to ask, but I have no other choice. Any support — no matter how small — will help me cover essential bills, secure shelter, and focus on healing. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story and for caring enough to help me keep going.
