 Yá'át'ééh (greetings). We are the Missing &amp; Murdered Diné Relatives Coalition (MMDRC) which is a Navajo owned and operated nonprofit organization that assists victims, survivors, and impacted families of the missing, murdered, and trafficked Diné (Navajo) People's crises--what we refer to culturally as modern-day naayéé' (monsters). We, the MMDRC Team and Board of Directors, got permission from our MMDRC Advocacy Coordinator, Vangie Randall-Shorty, as well as permission from her partner and sister to start this fundraiser to support Vangie with her healing and recovery journey while in the hospital for the injuries she sustained in a reported vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash on August 16, 2026 near their home in Kirtland, NM which is currently being investigated as a DWI crash. This fundraiser will help support Vangie and her family with lodging, meals, travel/gas to and from their home and the hospital she was flown to in Albuquerque, NM. The family will also be traveling back and forth between their home (3-hour drive one-way) as they continue to care for their home and pets/animals.

 As part of Vangie’s healing journey she has started taking daily walks for her mental and physical health. Sunday morning (8/16/26) she went out on a walk with her fur baby Hera, she was struck by a drunk driver. Her fur baby Hera, a Cane Corso, died on scene. Vangie sustained multiple injuries including multiple broken bones, head and internal injuries.
</div>
<div>

</div>
<div>
 She was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center where they assessed her and decided that her best form of care would be to be flown to the University of New Mexico hospital in Albuquerque, NM. So far she has had two surgeries and is continuing inpatient care. She is surrounded by family including her partner and her grandson she is raising and other family members who have all travelled to Albuquerque to be close to her. Thankfully she is stable, however, she will have a long healing journey ahead of her.

 Vangie has been a dedicated MMIP/MMDR advocate since the murder of her late son Zachariah Juwaun Shorty 6 years ago on July 25, 2020. Her advocacy includes supporting other impacted MMDR victims/survivors/families, raising awareness, community outreach/advocacy, and she serves on the MMDR Task Force for the Navajo Nation Legislative Branch as well as on the New Mexico Department of Justice MMIP Task Force.

Support for Victim of DWI-Pedestrian Crash while on dog walk

<div>Wildfires that strike quickly and burn out of control have become increasingly common in the western United States. These fires claim lives, destroy homes and property, and expose communities to harmful smoke. Each year, hundreds of people create fundraisers on the GoFundMe platform asking for help in the wake of a destructive wildfire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fund was created to provide direct relief to people in need after a wildfire. Your tax-deductible donation will ensure this fund can support as many people as possible as soon as a disaster strikes. We send critical cash grants directly to people who need help recovering from the impact of a wildfire.

2026 Wildfire Relief Fund

<div>Our family is reaching out for support as we navigate an incredibly challenging time. My 7-year-old son, Zayvian, is facing unexpected medical issues that require us to travel for specialized care. The expenses for his treatment, along with the costs of traveling to Aurora, Colorado, where he is seeing a neurologist and several specialists at the children’s hospital, have quickly become overwhelming. Our hope is that with the right diagnosis and care, Zayvian can return to school, make lifelong friends, and enjoy the childhood every kid deserves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> The funds raised will help us cover medical bills, travel expenses, and anything Zayvian needs during this period. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to getting him the care he needs and easing the burden on our family. Zayvian says, “I just want to be like a normal kid.” Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us as we work toward giving him that chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you from our family to yours.
</div>

Help Zayvian Get the Care He Needs

<div>To all our friends, family, kind-hearted supporters, and those closest to my mom, Faith Jacquez, as many of you know my beautiful mom Faith has been in the hospital fighting for her life since February 3rd.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of our life to ask for some help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Though I believe in the power of prayer, miracles, and medicine, we still have to prepare for the worst.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, the financial burden of traveling from Houston TX to Farmington NM in order to be with my mom and impending funeral expenses has all become too overwhelming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So, with a heavy heart, I, her daughter September am asking for any help in supporting me with raising money to help cover the cost of my travel expenses, as well as upcoming funeral expenses as we prepare for our farewells.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It would mean the world to me if I could honor my mom’s life without so much stress of this financial burden that’s been placed upon me. Your generosity will help ease this burden and allow us to focus on what truly matters—honoring my mother’s life and ensuring she is surrounded by love in her final days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If donations aren’t possible for some, I understand, but if you will I am also asking for prayers. As many prayers as we can get!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am beyond grateful for those who have been here and shown support to our family, and for those who are now willing!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everyone who knows my mom, Faith, knows how beautiful and big spirited her heart is. She always kept it real, always told the truth, and was always authentic in her truths. She couldn’t fake it to make if even if she tried. Through this life long journey she’s put up a hard fight and with tears in my eyes I’m proud to say I am proud of her. &amp; I know my mom would be so very thankful to anyone who can/has/and will help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any contribution is truly appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nothing is to small and every little bit counts. I am deeply grateful for any help you can provide, whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this message.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, compassion, and support during this heartbreaking time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>God bless and be with you all.
