<div>Hello, my name is Mohammed Saif, and I am a medical student from Sudan. Before the war broke out, I was studying medicine in Egypt, working hard to become a doctor and help my community. But when the war reached my hometown, everything changed.

<div>My house in Sudan was destroyed during the conflict, and I had to flee with my family to Egypt using the last of my savings. We arrived safely, but now we face many challenges. <div>I never imagined I would have to start a fundraising campaign. But life’s relentless hardships and the constant displacement have left me with no choice but to knock on every possible door — not for luxury, but simply to survive and protect my family of nine.

<div>Poverty, hunger, and suffering were never a choice I made — they were forced upon me for over a year and a half. I’ve been displaced more times than I can count. Like so many others from my homeland, I now find myself in desperate need — not just for myself, but to provide the most basic needs for my family and preserve our dignity.

<div>My father suffers from chronic illnesses — diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease — and requires regular medication. Due to the extreme malnutrition, especially in the northern regions, his health is rapidly deteriorating.

<div>During my journey of bitter  displacement in Khan Younis, I volunteered in partnership with the Palestinian Friends of the Environment Association to raise awareness among displaced people about infectious diseases caused by the lack of personal hygiene supplies and overcrowding in displacement camps, driven by my strong belief in fulfilling my duty toward my people.

<div>My name is <strong>Banan Suliman</strong>. I am a Sudanese medical student in my fifth year at <strong>Ahfad University for Women</strong> in Sudan. Due to the devastating war that started on <strong>April 15/2023 </strong>and created tragic conditions, my educational journey substantially disrupted and this was excruciating for me. My family and I were forced to flee our home in the capital city Khartoum after a <strong>Rapid Support Forces (RSF) unit </strong>broke into our house and arrested my father and brother, but thankfully they sent them free after five hours and we moved to the White Nile State. Against our will, we settled there for half a year, and we spent all of our savings on food, clean water, medical supplies, and rent <strong>(which was very expensive)</strong>.

<div>after a year and two months, my university (Ahfad University for Women) has signed an agreement with the <strong>Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport</strong> <strong>(AASTM) </strong>in the North Coast of Egypt <strong>(Al_alamein city)</strong> to give us the opportunity to complete our studies and achieve our dreams. Unfortunately, the tuition fees are very high, and me and my family cannot afford them. We lost everything we had in this war and my parents lost their jobs and savings, and it is impossible to secure this amount even if we all work day and night.

It's been over 500 days since, and we've tried to go back a couple of times, but they wouldn't let us. They said it's an "operations zone," and just like that, we've become displaced.

<div>There's no safe place in Sudan, and we can't ever afford to move to another place. Living costs are way beyond our capability. We've received humanitarian aid one time, and then it stopped. We have to ask relatives for money every month. It's very hard for me to do this, especially as someone who was in the upper-middle class (thanks to my mom's job in KSA).

<div>One of my biggest fears is the famine that is approaching every day with the prices changing as well. It's very challenging.

Help Safa's Family Escape War-Torn Sudan

The War in Sudan has created the World’s largest Humanitarian crisis. According to the World Food Programme 19 million people are facing extreme levels of hunger and very little international humanitarian aid is reaching the country.<br /><br />In Response to this tragic situation in our native country, we have setup the Khartoum Aid Kitchen initiative to feed the hungry in the greater Khartoum area. <br /><br />Our first Kitchen in Al Hitana Omdurman has been a success. Alleviating hunger in the area by feeding 1,250 of the most needy people daily. The fortified stew we provide with bread is not only intended to provide sustenance but to also be nutritionally balanced. <br /><br />Since our kitchen in Al Hitana opened we have proceeded to rapidly setup new kitchens across the Khartoum State area. With the hope of being able to feed as many hungry people as possible. <br /><br />We currently directly run 12 fully fledged Kitchens as well as 5 partner kitchens which we support by covering their rice needs.<br /><br /><b><i>Directly run kitchens:</i></b><br />

<p>In the tent everything is very hot The mattress, pillow, blanket, water jug, cups, plates, sand, towel, the only chair in the tent, Even drinking water Which is supposed to reduce the heat It will be very hot Which sees bubbles rising from the single stainless cup standing on the floor of the tent.

<p>In the heat of the tent, your body transforms To a fingerprint device for ants and mosquitoes And mites and fleas and flies and heat pellets and other things. 
</p>
<p>In the heat of the tent, you are surrounded by lizards, mice, scorpions, and insects of all kinds that you have never known before.

<p>In the heat of the tent, no one can maintain his original nature The calm person is no longer calm, the dreamer is no longer a dreamer, and the obedient person is no longer obedient. It is rare to find a person who maintains his level of understanding of others as it was before.

<p>In the heat of the tent, you are plagued with headaches, low or high blood pressure, all kinds of pills, kidney problems, bone pain, body wilting, and general laziness that you cannot overcome, and suppressed crying whenever you feel suffocated in a stream of sweat.

<p>Khalil Al-Kafarna is five years old. He was named after his uncle, the martyr who rose in the 2012 war. Khalil, my nephew. His left eye suffers from a problem with the retina and severe poor vision since birth. He needs a medical patch constantly to maintain the stability of the lens of his eye and prevent it from becoming lazy. Covering his good eye so that he can focus on his other eye, and he needs follow-up and constantly renewed medical glasses according to the improvement of his vision or, God forbid, due to the dissatisfaction of his condition. He also needs to travel abroad to have a lens implantation operation performed and save his eye so that he can continue his life and education with a healthy eye, God willing. Khalil lives in a modest tent and does not He cannot bear any of the necessities of life, and the intense July heat and strong sun prevent him from being able to open his eyes and play with the other children. I can also add that Khalil’s father used to work as a hairdresser and did not take the shaving tools out of his house. He now does not have any work to support his family, which consists of 4 members. Therefore, it is difficult for him to provide for Khalil’s special needs or to send him abroad for a treatment trip, knowing that our child is in a race against time to save his eye. <div>The occupation army asked us to leave our homes immediately to evacuate. We settled in UNRWA schools for a week, and the shelling was very close to us and the massacres were around us. I was also injured at the time. After the shelling intensified, the army asked us to leave to the south immediately before attacking the schools and the entire area.

<div>We moved again to the south to the city of Deir al-Balah on the sea road. We settled in a dilapidated tent that did not protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter. Abood, residing in an area north of Wadi Gaza, has endured unspeakable losses—over 100 family members and friends, including the tragic loss of his sister's unborn child due to white phosphorus exposure. Despite the relentless suffering, Abood has remained a beacon of hope, steadfast in his commitment to his community. However, the recent escalation of violence and the deteriorating humanitarian situation have left Abood and his family in grave danger. The prices to leave Gaza are exorbitant, far beyond their means. The Rafah crossing offers a glimmer of hope, but the financial burden is overwhelming at $7,500 per adult and $3000 per child.

<div>I am from the northern Gaza Strip, the town of Beit Hanoun.  I was displaced five times during the war and my house was bombed because of the war and the violent raids on my city and now I live in a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter and my situation is very difficult and my husband is unemployed and my family consists of 5 people, me, my husband and my three children Muhammad 6 years old, Elena 3 years old and Haitham 8 months old. My young children need everything from food, drink and clothes. My last child was born in the war. I went to the hospital in the evening under the bombing and danger and no ambulance came to take me because of the seriousness of the situation. We went in a fast car until we reached the hospital. During the birth he had an accident and suffered a broken collarbone and a dislocated nerve plexus. Since that day he has not been able to move his right hand at all. I want my child to be healthy like other children and to move his hand and be healthy. I went everywhere but unfortunately in Gaza and because of the siege and war there are no treatments or devices because everything was destroyed and the hospitals and my child needs physical therapy sessions and electricity sessions to move his hand. I hope to God that you look at my message and help me and my family and my child so that we can live a decent life, a healthy life like the rest of the children of the world and I hope that he will be saved  Your country and your children, and my thanks, appreciation and love to you
