Broken Dreams, Unbroken Will – Stand with Ahmad Abu Eida
Donation protected
It's Ahmad Abu Eida, a graphic designer who lost his job, his home, and many beloved family members and friends due to the continuous nightmare my country has been enduring.
I never imagined I would have to start a fundraising campaign. But life’s relentless hardships and the constant displacement have left me with no choice but to knock on every possible door — not for luxury, but simply to survive and protect my family of nine.
Poverty, hunger, and suffering were never a choice I made — they were forced upon me for over a year and a half. I’ve been displaced more times than I can count. Like so many others from my homeland, I now find myself in desperate need — not just for myself, but to provide the most basic needs for my family and preserve our dignity.
My father suffers from chronic illnesses — diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease — and requires regular medication. Due to the extreme malnutrition, especially in the northern regions, his health is rapidly deteriorating.
During my journey of bitter displacement in Khan Younis, I volunteered in partnership with the Palestinian Friends of the Environment Association to raise awareness among displaced people about infectious diseases caused by the lack of personal hygiene supplies and overcrowding in displacement camps, driven by my strong belief in fulfilling my duty toward my people.
I was never meant to live like this — a broken man in a tent, cooking over wood fire and waiting for water trucks to bring drinkable water. I used to be a rising graphic designer with a promising future, full of passion, ambition, and dreams. But everything came crashing down. My career, my hopes, and the life I worked so hard to build — all gone.
Now, I humbly ask for your support — not out of weakness, but out of hope. Hope that even in the darkest times, humanity still shines through. Your support, no matter how small, could help me stand on my feet again and bring a glimmer of light to my family’s life.
Please, help me hold on to hope. Help us survive.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
