Hello world, my name is Adrienne. I live in the Midwest in the United States and I'm hosting this campaign for Abood Radwan & his family. They are trapped in Dier al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, for two years now. There is no employment, as the civilian infrastructure has been totally destroyed. They have been displaced numerous times, and the home they were staying in was destroyed by a missile strike a few months ago. They're exposed to the elements, and each day they struggle to get clean water, food, and firewood to cook. This fundraiser is to get them basic supplies, mainly food. The enforced starvation and closed crossings has raised the cost of lentils, chickpeas and flour to insanely high prices that people who haven't been able to work for TWO YEARS CANNOT HOPE TO AFFORD. As one person, I can only do so much to help the Radwan family; they need support from the public to continue surviving and eventually escaping once the borders are open again when this horrific war on the civilians of Gaza is stopped. This is a civilian family and these funds are for BASIC SURVIVAL.
Their great hope is to leave, together and alive and rebuild their lives somewhere safe. Please help me get them to that day. They are a warm, compassionate, generous, kind and faithful family. They deserve life, they deserve support. Especially the children.
I'll let you hear from Abood Radwan in his own words:
Hello, I am Abood Radwan.
I am writing to you with a heavy heart, and I trust you will listen to me and feel a little of my pain. A war on Gaza has been going on for two entire years. My family, every day they remain in Gaza, they face the terrifying reality of their inability to survive the next bombardment.
Unfortunately, I currently find myself in a difficult situation that requires your support. We are searching for safety, suffering from hunger, a lack of clean water, electricity, internet, and non-existent medical care since the beginning of the war on us.
My family has witnessed devastation and death all around them, heard the constant blasts of bombs day and night, we were exposed to white phosphorus thrown at us, and we have lost our home and everything we've worked for our entire lives.
This is in addition to the emotional and psychological toll they may never recover from.
Please listen directly from Abood about what his life was like before everything changed:
"My life was very simple. I worked as a taxi driver in the crowded streets of Gaza. Every morning, I would wake up at dawn, sip a cup of tea, and watch the sunlight filter through the windows of our modest home.
I felt at peace as I wandered the alleys, listening to the stories of the passengers,
some of whom came with light laughter, others with complaints about daily life, but they were all part of the fabric of my city.
I worked hard to secure my daily sustenance, and I the evening I would return to my family. They would wait for me at our simple dinner table, talking about our day and laughing at the endless stories. Life was not easy, but it was calm and it was enough for me to see the smiles on my family's faces.
Hope was my constant companion; I dreamed of a better future. I dreamed of seeing my city, Gaza, and of seeing Gaza differently than I had known it.
Not luxury, but peace.
Deep down, I did not know a dark cloud would come to hover over our heads, a war that took everything and robbed us of everything, threatening our simple dreams."
Thank you for being here & donating to help Abood and his lovely family.
I speak with them daily, any questions you have please contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart,
Adrienne
on behalf of Abood Radwan and his family.
Update as of 10/10/2025 from our brother Aboud:
"Since the ceasefire, we've lost everything. We need your help to rebuild our lives in Gaza.
After months of incredible pain and loss, a ceasefire has finally been reached.
But for us in Gaza, the struggle continues. Our homes are destroyed, the streets are empty, and our hearts are broken. We have lost everything.
Our daily needs now are:
Food and drink: $42 per day to feed our family.
Temporary shelter: $200 per month for safe and basic housing.
Medicine and hygiene: $50 per month for basic necessities.
Other urgent needs (clothing, cooking utensils, firewood, or gas if available, etc.): $70 per month.
War-related debt: $1,850.
Our goal in raising funds is to cover our immediate living needs, pay off our debts, and begin rebuilding our lives. Every donation, no matter how small, brings hope and life back to our family.
Your support is not just money; it is hope, life, and an opportunity for our family to get back on its feet.
Please continue to participate, donate, and stand by us. Together, we can bring life back to Gaza.
Your brother and friend, with the utmost gratitude and appreciation,
Aboud Radwan in Deir al-Balah "
