<div>On the 20th September, I'll be running the Bury 10K in memory of my beautiful cousin, William Rush.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Will was just 31 years old when he sadly lost his life and not a day goes by that he isn't in our thoughts. He was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, always there to listen, always offering support, and always wanting to help others, especially anyone who was struggling with their mental health.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Will was neurodiverse and although he was only diagnosed later in life, he faced many challenges with incredible quiet strength. Even through his own struggles, he continued to put others first, showing compassion and kindness wherever he could.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Running this 10K is my way of honouring Will and keeping his memory alive. Every mile I run is for him, for the kindness he showed so freely, and for the difference he made to so many people's lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm also hoping to raise money to continue the legacy Will leaves behind, one that supports others with their mental health and reminds people that no one should ever feel they have to face things alone. Most importantly, I want to share a message that truly matters, it’s okay to talk. No one should ever feel like they are alone, and reaching out to someone a friend, family member, or even a stranger can make all the difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If this fundraiser does anything, I hope it encourages even one person to open up, to check in on someone they care about, and to remember that there is always someone willing to listen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support in helping us keep Will’s spirit, kindness, and message alive.

Running 10K in memory of William Rush

<div>William Rush was an amazing young man who sadly lost his life at the age of 31.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was always there to listen, offering kindness, understanding, and support to anyone who needed it. William helped as many people as he possibly could, especially those struggling with their mental health. He was neurodiverse and, although only recently diagnosed, had faced challenges for much of his life with quiet strength.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The legacy we want to create in William’s memory is one he would be proud of — continuing to help others, just as he always did.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To honour him, we have started “William Rush Sports Day.” Every year, since he was a little boy, William’s summer birthday was celebrated with something sports-related, surrounded by family and friends. This was something he truly loved, and it feels right to continue that tradition in his name.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through this event, we hope to bring people together, raise money, and celebrate William’s wonderful life. Most importantly, we want to share a message that truly matters: it’s okay to talk. No one should ever feel like they are alone, and reaching out to someone — a friend, family member, or even a stranger — can make all the difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If this fundraiser does anything, we hope it encourages even one person to open up, to check in on someone they care about, and to remember that there is always someone willing to listen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support in helping us keep William’s spirit, kindness, and message alive.
