<div>We’re reaching out to you today on behalf of our beloved friend Karoline Perdios. In May, at just 35 years old, Karoline received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. In the weeks that followed, further testing — including biopsies and PET scans — revealed that the cancer had spread to her spine, resulting in a diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

<div>To say we’re devastated is an understatement. Karoline has so much life left to live, and the thought of that being cut short is simply unimaginable. She has spent her life caring for others — both in her work as an ER nurse, and in the way she shows up for the people around her. She’s the first to check in when someone is struggling, always remembering to send a thoughtful card or a kind message. She's the friend who’s always up for a drink, a dinner, or just being there — a steady, loyal presence in our lives for more than 25 years. We cannot imagine this world without her. We won’t.

<div>That’s why we’re asking for your help. Karoline is in the fight of her life, and now it’s our turn to show up for her the way she’s always shown up for us. She’s preparing to undergo aggressive, cutting-edge treatment at a specialized cancer institute in California. This next chapter will require her to take a leave from work, relocate for three to four months, and commit to an intensive combination of both traditional and holistic therapies. With this type of treatment, insurance typically doesn't cover the cost, so all of the expenses will fall on her shoulders. We want to ease that financial burden so Karoline can focus entirely on what matters most — healing.

<div>Anyone who knows Karoline knows how deeply funny, kind, and compassionate she is. But what you may not realize is just how fiercely determined and tenacious she can be. She meets every obstacle head-on, with quiet strength and unwavering resolve. And she does it all with an almost maddening humility — never boastful, always grounded, always grateful to those around her. If anyone can beat this, it’s Karoline. She’s a fighter. <div>On July 14, 2025, Jeremy Headlee underwent what was expected to be a routine outpatient procedure to replace a herniated disc in his upper spine. Tragically, a complication during surgery caused trauma to his spinal cord, and he woke from anesthesia unable to move or feel his body from the chest down.

<div>In the face of this life-altering injury, Jeremy’s strength has been nothing short of extraordinary – not a surprise for anyone that knows him. He immediately began working with in-patient physical therapy, and within days, made his first sign of progress – movement in his right foot. His positivity and determination remain unshaken, and his family is by his side every step of the way.

<div>But the road ahead will be long and challenging.

<div>Jeremy is a devoted husband and father of two young children. As he begins the grueling process of rehabilitation, his wife has stepped up to manage everything at home, but the financial and logistical strain is overwhelming.

<div>Many have asked how to help and this fundraiser is one way we can rally around this family we love.

<div>On January 30th, Carlee and Skyler’s home caught fire. Skyler attempted to put out the flames but suffered severe burns covering 27% of his body. Meanwhile, Carlee woke up to the smell of smoke and was able to get herself and their kittens to safety.

<div>While they are grateful to be alive, the fire and smoke have caused extensive damage to their home, leaving their future uncertain. Right now, their priority is Skyler’s recovery as he undergoes treatment for his burns.

<div>Skyler was supposed to head out the same day to visit his family in D.C., and get some quality time with his father who is also undergoing hospitalization and facing some unfortunate circumstances.

<div>This has been an unimaginably difficult time for Carlee and Skyler. As they focus on healing and finding stability, we are asking for any support you can offer. Donations will go toward Skyler’s medical expenses, essential living costs, and assistance with relocation as they rebuild their lives.

<div>Stefanie has dedicated her life to serving and inspiring young people. As a beloved basketball coach, teacher, and assistant principal, she has made a lasting impact on countless students, always leading with passion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her community. She is also a devoted wife to Jordan and a loving mother to their energetic and intelligent three-year-old daughter, Eleanor, and their beautiful newborn, Nyree.

<div>Stefanie’s pregnancy was challenging due to a fibroid, but despite delivering prematurely, baby Nyree was born healthy. However, just hours after giving birth, Stefanie suffered a sudden and devastating pulmonary embolism. She lost consciousness, and despite undergoing multiple emergency surgeries, she experienced significant brain damage due to a lack of oxygen.

<div>During these procedures, doctors made another heartbreaking discovery, an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. Now, on top of navigating a long and uncertain recovery, Stefanie is also facing a battle against cancer. She is currently in critical condition and will require extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and specialized treatment to give her the best chance at recovery.

<div>Her family is doing everything they can to support her, but the financial burden is overwhelming. Medical bills are mounting, including the costs of hospital transfers, rehabilitation services,  cancer treatments, and long-term care. <div>My brother &amp; best friend, John aka “JP”, is 41 years old and has been diagnosed with rare and aggressive form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). We are raising money to assist with insurance deductibles, copayments for treatment at Dana Farber in Boston Massachusetts and to support cost of living

<div>This is JP’s story leading up to his cancer diagnosis: For 29 months, JP has been living in pain, both physically and psychologically, because of a rash that was initially diagnosed in 2021 "allergic dermatitis". The prescription creams/ointments didn't stop the pain nor stop the rash from spreading.

<div>In February 2023, John was informed he had "plaque psoriasis". He started receiving light therapy treatments with minimal effect. The rash continued to spread and covered almost 40% of his body.
</div>

<div>It wasn't until John was seen at by Dr. Nambudiri at the Brigham Dermatology Center that biopsies were taken which indicated that John has a rare CTCL which he was informed on Friday, November 24th, 2023.
</div>

<div>On November 4th, 2024, 17-year-old Ellie, a bright, athletic, and loving young girl, suddenly collapsed on the volleyball court while warming up for a game. She was rushed to the hospital, but after multiple tests, doctors found nothing abnormal and sent her home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The next morning, Ellie went to school and collapsed again. Soon, she began passing out several times a day. What started as one terrifying episode quickly turned into a daily battle for answers. Her parents, Netzer and Jill, watched helplessly as their once-active daughter became unable to walk without dizziness and eventually needed a wheelchair just to leave the house.

<div>After weeks of appointments with specialists who couldn’t identify the cause, the family traveled to SIMSA Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico, desperate for answers. There, after extensive testing, Ellie was finally diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), a chronic illness that disrupts the body’s autonomic nervous system. POTS can cause extreme fatigue, dizziness, and fainting from even simple activities like standing, laughing, or brushing your teeth.

<div>While the diagnosis brought clarity, it also marked the beginning of a long and difficult journey. Ellie’s condition continued to worsen, and her family turned to alternative and regenerative treatments to give her the best chance at recovery. Through the care of Nova Stem Cell Clinic and a photo-medicine and hydrogen therapy center (PMB) in Mexico, Ellie slowly began to stabilize. Her fainting episodes, once up to five times per day, have now decreased to about once a day—a tremendous improvement, but one that still requires constant care and ongoing treatment.

<div>Over the past year, nearly 90% of her care has come from out-of-network doctors, treatments, and testing. These expenses have added up quickly, creating a financial strain for the family as they continue to explore every possible path toward Ellie’s healing.
</div>

</div>
<div>In addition to the medical care, the family also remodeled Ellie’s bedroom, bathroom, and the exterior walls around her room to completely remove mold and toxins from her environment. Doctors believe mold exposure may be one of the major contributors to Ellie’s illness, and the family continues to pray that this was a key factor in her condition and that removing it will help her body recover.

<div>Further testing revealed that Ellie’s blood contains toxins and mold, affecting both her immune and nervous systems. Her next critical step is a specialized blood detox process known as EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation), a treatment designed to cleanse the blood and restore proper oxygenation. Unfortunately, these therapies are not covered by insurance and come at a significant cost, in addition to ongoing medical expenses, travel, and specialist care.

<div>Despite everything, Ellie continues to fight with incredible courage and faith. Her smile, strength, and positive spirit have inspired everyone around her.
