Help Me Train to Create Affordable, Dignified Homes for People in Crisis — Starting December 6th, 2025
My name is Alicia, and I have started a specialist housing course to help build a project to reduce the crisis we are now facing in the UK. I have spent over 15 years working in housing disrepair, social housing, and new-build developments across London but as carer to two parents over the years my personal challenges have meant that I’ve seen, first-hand, how deeply families and vulnerable residents are affected by the housing crisis especially older and disabled people who are often left with nowhere suitable to go.
I am now asking for your help to take the next step.
I have been accepted onto a specialist housing course beginning 6th December 2025 and finishing 28th January 2026. I have paid £600 out of the money I had left but I now have no more funds.
This is my humble reason for my why I’m Raising £3,600 + Incl VAT
This training includes:
A CPD accredited step by step strategy for sourcing creating affordable and safe homes solutions for supporting social housing shortages.
A lifelong mentoring and accountability programme the CPD.
Accreditation for my work in this field means that I can then secure the licences and compliance required to properly roll out a model that helps people facing homelessness or losing their homes.
Relevant literature books
I am not as young as many I am 61 years of age and see how difficult it is align empathy towards people without the social tools or experience to get help this is why the strongest members of society can help and I hope this request will get your attention so that you can rely on someone like myself to pursue this cause. I hope that you might care enough to enable me to operate at this level with your help as this could happen to any of us.
But I cannot join without this final funding I paid £600 but have no further funds to finish off what I have started and I feel very emotional about completing this so I can fulfil this cause.
Why This Matters — The Human Reason Behind My Mission
My passion for this work is not just professional it is deeply personal. In 1998, my father, aged 59, was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. He had worked all his life. Never claimed a penny in benefits, but the one time I asked the government for anything, when he needed support most, it was sad to hear that he didn’t qualify for any help because he earned just over the national threshold at the time.
No home support. No financial help. Nothing.
He became too sick to live alone, and I took him into my small 2-bedroom, third-floor flat, the three flights of stairs were painful for him which would leave him breathless but although the space was limited in my flat we were so grateful that I could have my dad at home with us which was our only choice.
My dad passed away on 17th December 1998 and the helplessness of that experience never left me. At his funeral we had a greatest shock ever. We had a lovely turn out from his employers at British Airways and found out from them that for over forty years the orphanage which he had been raised in had been supported with furnishings and light donation in secret and for me my dad became an even greater hero.
During his illness he never once gave us a clue about his great kindness and I never dreamed that BA were supporting this cause we only found out when they attended his funeral and gave a beautifil tribute to him Mr Carlton Morgan Henry.
I know exactly what it means for a person to be ill, scared, and without appropriate housing I also know how many families today face the exact same crisis or worse. My mum also passed away with illness and it's as if I was born for caring however, I am greatly honoured and privilegded and just want at this stage of life to be fulfilled in doing something to leave as a legacy in helping people.
This is why I’m committed to creating safe, affordable, dignified homes for people who are:
Young
Terminally ill
Disabled
Older
Or facing eviction with no real support
Vulnerable
In 2025 the local authorities cannot keep up with the level of housing that is required. Families are struggling and people are falling through the cracks.
This training will allow me to build a real, scalable solution which will be rolled out to create work for others as well starting with one home, then expanding into a wider project.
Why the Urgency?
The UK government has just announced Royal Assent for the Renters Rights Bill a massive change which now demands that property professionals hold proper training, accreditation, and compliance to legally operate and support vulnerable tenants.
If I miss this December intake
I lose the chance to qualify in time to take advantage of this change and the people who need housing support will continue to wait.
This is my only opportunity to start the project as I don't have another window of time.
What Your Support Helps Build
By supporting me, you are not just helping with tuition.
You are helping:
Build a model that creates affordable housing
Provide support for people facing homelessness
Develop homes tailored for older and disabled residents
Train and hire people locally, creating sustainable jobs as the project grows
Build a community project that people can follow, learn from, and join
This is not just a course.
It is the foundation of a real solution to the housing crisis.
How You Can Follow the Impact
Every supporter can follow my progress on social media Facebook and Instagram or other social media as I document:
My training
My accreditation journey
The project launch
Real stories of the people helped
The growth of the model as it scales
Together, we can show what community support really looks like.
I Need People Who Can Help
I know this is short notice , but I’m choosing a bit of faith in people over pessimism.
If just 6 or 20 people who have the financial ability decide to support this cause, the impact will ripple out into the lives of many vulnerable people who have nowhere else to turn.
That is why I’m asking for your help today.
Please support this mission if you believe in:
Dignity for people in crisis
Better housing for older & disabled residents
Ending avoidable suffering
Real community change
Solutions that don’t wait for the government
Your contribution big or small takes this from a dream to a real, functioning model that saves people...
