<div>I'm raising funds for my friend Ollie after a video I posted of him singing his original song, <strong>"Kevin Saw a UFO,"</strong> went viral on TikTok. The response was immediate and heartfelt, and so many people agreed that he should: <strong>"Record this."</strong> Thousands of people agreed that this song deserved to be captured and shared more widely.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Ollie has always loved singing and playing guitar, but he has mostly performed covers around the dinner table or at local pubs and has never recorded his own music in a studio. He wrote many of these songs when he was 17, and now one of them has reached tens of thousands of people in a way neither of us expected. This song has made people sing along, smile, laugh, and even pick up their instruments again.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>This fundraiser will help Ollie record <strong>"Kevin Saw a UFO"</strong> and a couple of other original songs for his first EP. Donations will go toward studio fees and related recording costs so these songs can finally be recorded and shared beyond a viral video.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>More than anything, this is about helping Ollie's music reach more people. If his song has already inspired so much joy in one short clip, I would love to help give it a fuller life. If you can contribute, or even share this fundraiser, it would mean so much. Thank you for supporting Ollie and the music so many people connected with.

<div>Hello everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Jorge and as some of you may have heard, on Monday morning, a powerful earthquake struck the department of Chocó, Colombia, impacting neighboring cities, including Manizales, where my family is from.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Unfortunately, two of my aunts and my cousin were forced to evacuate and abandon their apartment, as well as most of their belongings, aside from some garbage bags they filled with some cloths, after it was deemed structurally unsafe</strong>. Thankfully, they are safe and are currently staying with my uncle, but they are now faced with the difficult task of finding a new place to call home and replacing many of the everyday necessities they’ve lost, including furniture, kitchen appliances, dishes, and other household essentials.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our family has set up a fundraiser to help them get back on their feet. Please don’t feel any obligation to contribute, but <strong>if you are in a position to donate, any amount would be deeply appreciated. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing the fundraiser with friends, family, or others in your network would be an enormous help as well.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any support you’re able to offer—whether through a donation, a share, or simply keeping my family in your thoughts!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sincerely,
</div>
<div>~Jorge

Help My Family Rebuild Their Lives After the Earthquake

<div>Our Beloved, Gilberto Gonzalez, has left us too soon. He was a brother to 5 siblings, a father to 4 children, an uncle to 8 nieces and nephews, a great uncle to 8, a cousin to many and a loss to all. We’ve been blessed to experience his talents in real time and after his passing. We were looking forward to so many more holidays, birthdays, song releases, art pieces and his silly conversations but now, we’re left in shock by his sudden death. At this time, our family can use monetary support to help finalize his departure in a dignified and honorable way. We appreciate all your support and love during this very difficult time.

<div>Hi, my name is Dorianne Cherry and I am raising money for my father James C Cherry Jr. who tragically passed away in a horrific manner.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My father was my best friend, biggest supporter and my hero. He always came my rescue when I needed it, even over the little things. My friends and I would go over to his house just to hangout and laugh cause he was so funny, his energy was contagious. He gave the best hugs, best advice and cooked the yummiest food. I was my daddy’s little girl, his angel, I brought as much light into his life as he did mine. We didn’t have much growing up but he was the hardest working, loving father and tried to provide the best life he possibly could for us. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone, the type who would come out in the middle of a storm to lend a hand. A true blue collar man, he entered the Carpenters Union at 18, did his time and retired a year ago at 55.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have never felt this kind of pain. My father did not deserve to suffer the way he did. I wish I could have done something, his life was ended too soon. He had so many plans and his entire life ahead of him. A huge piece of my heart is missing and nothing could change that. He was loved by so many people and will be forever missed but never forgotten.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising money to help fund for financial assistance with his house and belongings left behind. He will be laid to rest in Queens next to his father where his heart belongs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Honestly anything contributed will help. Please keep me and my family in your prayers
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We all appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read this

</div>
<div><strong>I have grown tired of walking out of movie theaters asking, ‘where are the earnest portrayals of people that look like me?’</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is <strong>Ramon Pesante,</strong> and I lead a close-knit team of Black and Latinx creatives working on completing our first feature film, <strong>'Playing Sam', starring Jenni Ruiza and Marc Reign. </strong>The film explores the authentic experience of Latinx actors in New York City.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was inspired to make this film through my mother's experience as an Afro-Latina actor in the 80s, where she was judged for her ethnicity and not her acting abilities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/67504909_1662434289922455_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I feel it’s my responsibility</strong> as a storyteller to cover this topic because I was once a child actor who auditioned for roles that poorly portrayed my ethnicity.
</div>
<div>(Abused child, orphan, etc.)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, many of my colleagues still endure the humiliation of portraying the go-to Latinx stereotypes, like <em>the housekeeper</em> or <em>the criminal.</em> So I decided to invest in my fellow artist and present them as who they are. I hope to show <strong>Hollywood</strong> and <strong>mainstream media </strong>that they deserve a fair chance as authentic performers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I am raising funds to complete the film in post-production. That includes color correction, sound design, sound mixing, and music.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Join us by contributing to help complete the movie. We are excited for you to see such an ambitious film.</strong>

<div>Friends and family, we are in deep distraught and torn by the sudden death of Elizabeth. Elizabeth was an amazing mother, partner, family member, and minister who cared deeply about her community and faith. She was an absolute light to anyone's life she has touched. There is nothing that will be able to fill the void that she has left in this world.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Unfortunately, Elizabeth was taken from us far too soon on Thursday afternoon, leaving a beautiful family behind. Please donate within this GoFundMe to help support her loved one's as they try to navigate during this difficult time. All funds raised will go directly into providing Elizabeth with the arrangments she absolutely deserves for her transition. Thank you in advance for the help, her family and friends truly from the bottom of their hearts appreciate it.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>All donations will be transferred to one of Elizabeths daughter, Ruth Santos. As stated above, all funds will go directly to their family as they make the necessary arrangements for their mother.

<p>What was to be the greatest day of their lives has turned into what I can only describe as an endless nightmare we have been praying to wake up from.

</p>

<p>Just 2 months after their wedding- my brother Justin &amp; his wife, Kathy arrived at Jacobi hospital. On 8/1/21 with great joy &amp; anticipation the newlyweds were ready to meet their first child Isabel Lynn.

</p>

<p>Our expectation was to have baby Isabel delivered safely and head home to begin the next phase of their love story as parents.

</p>

<p>During labor Kathy suffered an exceedingly rare condition called Amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Essentially the fluid which surrounds the baby in the uterus ruptures and flows into the mother’s bloodstream which responds to this foreign substance in an anaphylactic manner.

</p>

<p>As a result, Kathy went into cardiac arrest which continued for approximately 40-45 minutes along with suffering seizures. While the medical team continued compressions on her, an emergency C-section was performed to deliver Isabel. In addition, Kathy experienced severe hemorrhaging which required upwards of approximately 30 units of blood. Without being able to hold his baby girl, Justin watched as his daughter was taken away to NICU at Bellevue hospital. Kathy is still in the SICU, intubated, vented, &amp; in critical condition.

</p>

<p>Everyday it’s been a snowball of complications from the AFE, of infections, fever, nerve &amp; muscle damage, brain swelling, low kidney function, and potenial neurological damage.

</p>

<p>Anyone who knows my brother knows how loyal and determined he is. Justin is a dedicated police officer who places the needs of everyone else first and foremost. He is on top of every test, every call, every decision. We don’t have a clear vision as to when they will all be reunited outside of hospital bedsides. We do know this will be a long recovery- physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. We have no idea what the medical expenses will look like and are humbled by any financial support we can recieve. I created this go fund me because if there is anything I can do outside of a miracle, I will. I just want to help alleviate at least one of his concerns.

</p>

<p>Our family remains hopeful there is a light at the end of this tunnel. More importantly, we humbly ask that you continue to pray for Kathy, Justin and baby Isabel as they continue on an upward battle. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you may provide.

<p>Hi, My Name Is Pedro and i had the privilege of sharing 15 years with this beautiful woman. She was a fighter like no one i ever met before. In 2017 she was diagnosed with Cancer (ALS) and me and the kids were there through the bes and worst of times. She beat it in 2018 and we went on our first vacation to Cancun alone without the kids for my birthday. It was the best birthday present anyone could ever give me. She was full of life and wanted nothing more then to spend as much time with our kids. We built a life together and planned to end it together. But, as we all know sometimes god has other plans. The Cancer returned at the end of 2018 and she had beet fighting ever since. Even in the end i had hope to see her come home so we can watch a movie with the kids or catch up on the shows we liked to watch like 911 or god friended me. But unfortunately the ballet was lost today and i feel empty. Maria Passed away fighting to be with her family and now me and the kids must go one without her. I ask that you can donate what you can to help us with the funeral and memorial services for this kind soul that god has called to heaven. Thank you and god bless you all!

<p>Just when we are all about to close this difficult chapter that has been 2020, James Da Barba unfortunately is currently a victim of Covid 19. He has been fighting the good fight, however with Corona came pneumonia, putting an even bigger strain on his breathing and strength.<br /><br />James has tremendous will power and doctors have been doing the best they can these past 3 weeks to get him back on his feet. Although he is set to be able to go home soon, his family now needs our donations to be able to assist with co- payments for medicines, the medical equipment needed to rent to continue treatments, in addition to the bills that have piled up while he’s been hospitalized.
</p>

<p>Strong; gifted; humble; caring father, husband, brother, friend and music mate... James De Jesus has overcome more obstacles than most, but always with faith and an open heart.<br /><br />Though extremely private, James Da Barba needs our help to make sure that tremendous heart of his continues to be here for his family, friends and DLG fans alike.<br /><br />———————————<br /><br />Justo cuando estamos a punto de cerrar este difícil capítulo que ha sido el 2020, James Da Barba lamentablemente es víctima de Covid 19 en este momento.

¡Fuerza Para James Da Barba!

On Monday November 16, Amparo Sanchez, loving mother of Stephanie, Nathalie, and Vladimir was discovered to have had a brain aneurysm and multiple strokes. She is presently in the Intensive Care Unit following having brain surgery. She remains unconscious but vitals are stable and heart strong. If you know Amparo, you know she is strong, caring, generous and a fighter. We are all hopeful she can survive this.

Amparo was responsible for the full care of her adult son with Autism. He himself requires 24 hour support. Since the incident Amparo’s daughters have stepped in to take on all responsibilities to navigate the health system and legal system to support both their mother and brother.

There are several expenses at pay to sustain each of their financial obligations, home bills, medical bills and daily care needs. We welcome any help from family, friends, and good hearted people who wish to lift a little relief of this burden.

Thank you, God Bless you all.

————————————————

Hello everyone! I’ve been given an opportunity of a lifetime, to be a part of the Harlem fine arts show in February 2020. It’s been a way for me to re-examine and reclaim my own ideas of what being black means. By donating you will help with the entry fee to the art show, along with supplies that I would need to make sure each piece of art entered into the show is unique and one of a kind!

My sweet dog Grace just was diagnosed with skin cancer.<br /><br />Grace is a 6 year old pit bull mix. Our journey started in San Diego where I got her from a friend. The idea around getting a dog out of college was the need for companionship after a tough break up along with a big lonely move to the Bay Area. Grace was there through the transition. <br /><br />From the beginning she loved to snuggle. To this day you can’t sit down without her always needing to be in contact with you in some way. She loves chewing toys until to complete extinction. She also LOVE playing with the hose. <br /><br />This is incredibly hard and of course there are way worse situations out there. She needs to go have her lump removed ASAP.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
