<div>She’s been battling Ulcerative Colitis (a severe form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and IBS for 12 long years, a fight that’s tested every ounce of her strength.

<div>Right now, Emma Kate is in one of her toughest chapters yet.

<div>Her medications keep failing, her anemia is relentless, and she’s exhausted from the constant fatigue, pain, and uncertainty that come with endless bloodwork, scopes, and upcoming procedures. All of this has impacted her ability to work and her mental health is at an all time low.

Emma Kate’s 12 year battle with IBD (Ulcerative Colitis)

On April 28, 2021, Sophia Stevens tragically gained her angel wings.  In the words of her mom, Cheryl Payne:<br /><br />With the greatest depth of sorrow and love, we are devastated to announce the passing of our beautiful Sophia. She took her life last night after a long struggle. We hope our dear girl is now at peace. She is such a wonderful girl - her art, her love of fun, her heart, laughter and kindness are a beautiful legacy. We send so much love to her amazing friends. If anyone is struggling, please reach out to someone. There is always help. Our lives will never be the same but we are forever grateful that we have been blessed with her everlasting presence. <p dir="ltr">On Sunday March 19, 2017 Paulo was diagnosed with a brain tumor/mass. He was transfered from Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie to Sunnybrook in Toronto. &#160;He had emergency surgery to remove a 9 cm mass that whas applying significant pressure to his frontal lobe in his brain. Paulo and Jessica are still awaiting results of the biopsy. He is in the very early stages of his long recovery. <br>
Paulo will be off of work for the immediate future. Jessica is self employed and will &#160;be by his side every step of the way. Paulos treatment will require Jessica to take time off of work to take him to rehab and appointments. <br>
&#160;They have a long road ahead filled with medical appointments and expenses. Any donation will be greatly appreciate as Paulo and Jessica will fight this together!
