<div>
 Hi, I'm Steven, and Gunther is my 5-year-old mixed breed. He's my best friend, my family, and my emotional support animal (ESA). He's the one who helps me get through hard days, and now it's my turn to be there for him.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Recently Gunther was diagnosed with a high-grade mast cell tumor, a type of skin cancer. He already had a first surgery, but the margins weren't completely clean. His oncologist recommends a second surgery to remove more tissue, followed by 6 weeks of chemotherapy to lower the risk of the cancer spreading.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The good news is that his latest ultrasound showed no signs of spread. We caught it in time, and now we just need to finish the job.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The surgery, chemotherapy and follow-up care are estimated at around $8,000. That's more than I can cover on my own. Anything you can give, even $5, or simply sharing this page, means the world to us.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for helping Gunther keep wagging his tail. I'll post updates here after his surgery.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 With gratitude,
</div>
<div>

Help Gunther Beat Cancer

<div>To all our family, friends and loved ones-
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I cannot believe the words even as I type them. After a lengthy battle with kidney disease
</div>
<div>over the past several months, our beloved Carlos left us on Tuesday, 6/7/22. In all that time, we never let ourselves consider the possibility that he wouldn't overcome and be back on the road to health, but it was not meant to be. I never imagined he would die only three months
</div>
<div>after turning 40 and had no plans on how or where he would want to have his final resting
</div>
<div> place. I made the best choices that I could for those of us he left behind, including the true
</div>
<div>love of his life, our daughter Sophia. As we navigate what our future looks like and find his
</div>
<div>final resting place, many have asked how they can help. This is one small way, and please
</div>
<div> know we appreciate all the support, not just monetary. Calls, texts and visits are just as
</div>
<div>meaningful to us. Sophia and I need a village.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you and we love you all.
</div>

A Final Home For Carlos

<div>Please consider assisting Shay Brandon Burke as he battles post-stroke recovery!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shay Brandon Burke has lived in London these past three years supporting his partner Greg in his lifegoal of attaining a PhD in Ancient Roman History.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shay has been working odd jobs ranging from teaching gymnastics to television acting and even stand-up comedy (for which he recently won the British Comedy Guide Pro Performance of the year). Two weeks later, he suffered a stroke and has been having what they call<strong> seizure-like “events”</strong> 4-7 times daily that leave him foggy (at best) and regularly cause him to pass out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As such, he is unable to work (but has signed up for an online course in digital marketing and blogging) and he is <strong>disallowed from flying home due to his high-risk health status.</strong> He has seen several doctors as well as a neurologist who said he has <strong>brain decline resembling a person thirty years his senior and described the situation as “concerning.”</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you know “Mr. Burke” you know he is a worker and an optimist and will push through everything he can control, but he and Greg are now facing obstacles beyond their means (his next appointment with a specialized neurologist is roughly 600 pounds simply for the consultation!).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Greg is scheduled to complete his PhD in eighteen months, but without additional income, they will be stuck. The need specifically is 12,000 pounds which would get them through the next 9 months and help cover the expected medical costs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to assist financially, that is the need. Mr. Burke has helped so many of us throughout the years and this is our opportunity to give back to an amazing man of God! - Terry.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi my friends and family this is me, one week before, staying fit and healthy.
</div>
<div>First, thank you Terry!!! And thank you to all who can show support. I want to come home, but we need Greg to finish his PhD so we can get back with full medical insurance, that's the goal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Greg working hard and still teaching on-line classes for Taft College. Due to California's covid restrictions he lost his other classes at Bakersfield College. Greg is looking into taking a bartender position to help off set my loss of income.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before we had a chance to launch this I had a bad episode this morning (Dec 18th) with new symptoms. Lost the full use of my legs for a short time. Got it back, but was back in the emergency room.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm home now and back on my feet, but have been having smaller episodes all day. I had a paid gig scheduled tonight...but
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Please help us get through the next unknown months and get me back home. </strong>
</div>
