Hi, I'm Steven, and Gunther is my 5-year-old mixed breed. He's my best friend, my family, and my emotional support animal (ESA). He's the one who helps me get through hard days, and now it's my turn to be there for him.

Recently Gunther was diagnosed with a high-grade mast cell tumor, a type of skin cancer. He already had a first surgery, but the margins weren't completely clean. His oncologist recommends a second surgery to remove more tissue, followed by 6 weeks of chemotherapy to lower the risk of the cancer spreading.

The good news is that his latest ultrasound showed no signs of spread. We caught it in time, and now we just need to finish the job.

The surgery, chemotherapy and follow-up care are estimated at around $8,000. That's more than I can cover on my own. Anything you can give, even $5, or simply sharing this page, means the world to us.
