<div>Since 2018, the Queer Fam Fund has helped over 400 queer and trans people attend Honcho Campout. In 2026, we continue this work by removing the financial barriers that prevent our most marginalized community members from participating.

<div>QFF is a fundraising and outreach initiative centered on supporting Black, Indigenous, people of color, and people of trans experience, ensuring Campout remains accessible, intersectional, and community-driven.

<div>We value every donation, no matter the size. The amounts below are suggested only to help show what different levels of support can provide. Every dollar raised goes toward supporting someone in our community in a real, tangible way.

<div>Dear Shimmerback fam, you know her, you love her, you've bounced and swayed across her creaky boards so many times. All that sashaying has taken its toll and now <strong>our beloved bridge is in need of a facelift</strong>... well, more like major reconstructive surgery.

<div>While the bridge remains structurally sound, the decking and hanging cables have reached the end of their useful life and need to be replaced, and the main cables need to be sanded and painted. We're calling in support from the Shimmerback community to help cover an estimated <strong>$10k in material costs </strong>(work will be completed with volunteer labor).

Honcho Campout Queer Fam Fund 2024

<div>Our beloved Kiwi was involved in a severe car accident the weekend of 01/07/2024. Physically he is in stable condition and on the mend but are racking up many different emergency expenses. As some of you may know, his friends Kevin and Breakfast were also severely injured in this crash, and a fourth passenger named Hayden did not survive.

<div>As many of us know Kiwi is a pillar of the New York queer community. His light shines bright on every dance floor and his zest for life has touched many of our hearts and changed our lives. Many of us would not be who we are or where we are without him, and his love for the people around him reaches far and wide.

<div>Queer Fam Fund (QFF) prioritizes the joy, inclusion, and communal care of Black, Indigenous, people of color, and trans and/or non-binary individuals at Honcho Campout. Through fundraising and societal engagement, QFF reduces cultural and financial barriers that hinder our recipients from the festival experience. In turn, QFF seeks to impact culture-at-large by championing community and cultivating sacred bonds that expand beyond the festival.

<div>This program, subsidized entirely by donations and fundraisers, alleviates the financial hurdles that may prevent the most marginalized of our community from attending–more on that below.  Since 2018, QFF has proudly sponsored nearly 200 recipients, and we’re excited to welcome a new round of recipients this August. Campout has evolved beautifully and irrevocably because of this program and, with your help, we can continue to expand upon and improve it every year.

Honcho Campout Queer Fam Fund 2023

Brad Raistrick, our Lead Release Manager, and a long-time Classy team member, lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Monday, February 22nd. <br /><br />Brad was diagnosed with cancer about one year ago and his unrelenting optimism and happy attitude in the face of his own mortality and health concerns left many of us shocked with the news of his passing. He was passionate about an eclectic array of life's treasures which drew many of us to Brad and opened doors for anyone to spark a connection with him. We all cherish memories of time spent with Brad, from looking out over the balcony onto the Petco Park stadium to receiving sage advice and tips on everything from food and craft beer to parenting. <br /><br />Brad hit his six year anniversary at Classy in January and said confidently that he'd never enjoyed working at a place so much because of Classy's mission and teammates. He felt fortunate to be one of the people who impacts and facilitates positive changes for people around the world. He is dearly missed as one of the most devout, hard-working, intelligent, and passionate people that we've ever met.<br /><br />Brad was married for 10 years to his wife Kristine and had two children, Audrey who is 8 and Luke who is 5. Classy will be hosting this fundraiser to support Brad's family during this heartbreaking time. Funds raised will go towards saving for his two children's college education and supporting Brad's mother. Our goal is to raise $25k over the next 4 to 6 weeks. <br /><br />Thank you in advance for helping to support our Classy family as we continue to honor the life and memory of Brad Raistrick.
