❤️ THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT! Please accept my apologies for the delayed response, and thank you for your patience. On behalf of Together for Jamaica Community, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising appeal following Hurricane Melissa. Our original fundraising target was £2,000, and thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised £1,800, alongside many much-needed donated items. Your kindness allowed us to purchase additional supplies and support the costs of shipping and clearing the donations in Jamaica. After these costs, we are grateful to have over £800 remaining to continue supporting the community. This has only been possible because of the incredible generosity of people who not only donated financially and with essential items, but also volunteered their time and skills in both the UK and Jamaica. A special thank you to Mitchell Shipping Services for their support with packing and shipping, JP Elan of Hanover, Dr Anderson-Levene, Carvel, Mrs Doeman, and to the many individuals who gave their valuable time to collect, pack, organise, transport and distribute donations, locate vulnerable individuals, and support the distribution of essential items. Your contribution has made a real difference. ❤️ But our work does not stop here. I will continue fundraising in support of Mount Peto Primary School, with the aim of providing a special Fun Day for the local children — a day where they can come together, have fun, enjoy activities and experience some joy after what has been a difficult period for many families.
