<div>For the last years, we've all witnessed our dear friend, Arleen Krueger, bravely battling cancer. She's undergone surgeries, chemo and most recently, a lengthy hospital and rehab stay as a result of medical complications due to her treatments. This lengthy stay resulted in a significant amount of out of pocket medical expenses.....

<div>And now the news that our dear friend is once again battling this awful disease. Last week, Arleen began chemo treatments, which will last through the rest of this year.

<div>Arleen has been incredibly brave throughout this battle. She remains upbeat and hopeful and always has a smile on her face . Even with all her challenges, Arleen continues to help others by donating her artwork to her cancer Doctor, who hosts an annual auction to raise funds for cancer patients. Arleen is a blessing to all who know her and now I hope that we can all bless her by lightening her financial burden of overwhelming medical bills so that she can focus on her treatment, healing and recovery.

Support Arleen Krueger's Brave Cancer Battle

Hi, I’m making this go fund me for my father, Reuben. On March 22nd of this year my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic renal cancer. The cancer was found in his kidneys and by the time it was discovered, the cancer had spread to his bones. Since his diagnosis he has tried the chemo pills, but unfortunately those were damaging his liver, essentially killing him faster than the cancer itself. His other option was immunotherapy infusions but the doctors informed us his body is too weak to handle infusions. With the doctors exhausting all of their options, they informed us that it’s time to take him home and make him comfortable. My dad has been on hospice for 3 weeks now. Along with the cancer my dad was also diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. He’s had MD for the past couple years which was slowly eating away at his muscles. With the cancer plus the muscular dystrophy, it has made him immobile. At this point in time he’s only able to move his head and his arms. For those first 2 weeks, we were fortunate enough to have my Aunt be with him 24/7 and watch over him and tend to his needs. Unfortunately she has had to go back to work in Southern California and this is where we need the help. My dad needs in home care as he really struggles through the night. Insurance will not cover the cost of in home care, so our only options is having to pay out of pocket. Our family will do whatever necessary to make sure my dad gets the right care he needs in this stage of his life. I know many of you have asked how you could help, and quite frankly it’s financial. These funds will be used to pay for in home healthcare, medical bills, meals, and any other unforeseen medical expenses as my dad continues to navigate through this stage of his life. The remaining funds would be used to pay for funeral expenses, and any lasting medical bills. My dad has served his community in law enforcement for over 28 years. Reading all the comments on his Facebook page showed me how loved he truly is. He’s been a mentor to many and a hero to me. It’s personally been hard for me seeing him in pain, but my dads a fighter and seeing his resilience during this time is a reminder to many to never give up no matter what life may throw at you. Reuben’s Cancer Journey

As many of you know, Chip Whitley is battling COVID-19 and has now been in the hospital for more than 30 days.  With Chip being ill and self-employed, he is struggling with health and overwhelming financial issues. While I know that Chip is probably not going to like anyone asking for help on his behalf, we (his family and friends) are asking for any financial assistance that you may be able to provide him and his family, large or small, it all adds up quickly especially in tough times.    For those that do not know Chip, well he is usually on the giving end when it comes to charity.  He has a decade of volunteer service to both the Boy Scouts and to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where he serves on the Commercial Exhibits Committee.  He often helps someone in need build or repair things at their house or referred a good sub-contractor to a friend or colleague. Now is your chance to help someone who has always been there for others.   Having been attacked by this virus so unexpectedly, Chip and his family have found themselves in a spot that I am certain they never prepared for and Chip needs our collective and compassionate help.  This is such an uncertain time for Chip and his family.  If you are blessed enough that you can help financially, please donate whatever you can; no donation is too small - it all adds up. I am confident that Chip will prevail in this battle, as I have witnessed his self-determination firsthand.  I will leave you with a triumphant moment that I shared with him at the end of a season of training and 180 miles of pedaling over 2 days.  This is a guy who is always there to help others.  It is my sincere hope that you can help Chip and family during this very trying time. I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of the Ross-Rutter family. Their beautiful mother, Sundee, fought a long, hard battle in the past year with breast cancer and survived! She continued to work at her job at Ross Dress for Less throughout her treatment as she was the sole provider for her six beautiful and amazing children.  Due to all the cancer treatments, Sundee didn’t have much left in the way of an immune system. Unfortunately and tragically, She contracted the virus that is making the news lately. ( I can’t say the name of the virus otherwise fb will delete the post). She fought valiantly until she could not fight any more. She lost her battle on March 16, 2020. She is preceded in death by the father of her children. This has not been an easy road for these kids. They have been through a lot in the past several years. Sundee was an absolutely amazing mom and instilled only the utmost of values in her children. I have never known a group of siblings who stick together and take care of one another as much as these kids do. The oldest three are in college and the youngest three are in high school and middle school. Tyree, the oldest of the family, graduates from college in June and will be trying to secure housing so that he can finish the job of raising his siblings that his mom could not. Please help support this family to get some housing set up and for whatever else the family may need in the coming months. They are still looking into funeral arrangements and a Celebration of Life for Sundee in the future. They are a proud family but they touched so many people’s lives that I know many want to help in any way they can. Below, I have posted what Sundee’s eldest daughter, Alexis, wrote about her mom when she set up a fundraiser to help the family during her battle with cancer. In May of 2016 Andrew was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at just 30 years old.  After 2 years of fighting this illness, we remain #CavesStrong because of the love and support we have from family and friends. SSG Bryan Black was killed in action during an ambush while on a patrol in southwestern Niger. He died defending his brothers and protecting us here at home from the spread of terrorism. Bryan was assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina and served as a Special Forces Medic on a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFOD-A). Bryan Black was an incredible man and was the very best this country has to offer. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, was a true disciple of Christ, and natural born leader. His competitive spirit drove the masteries of chess, poker, carpentry, stock trading, martial arts, medicine, and home repair. Despite his many talents and unbelievable achievements the only thing this humble man would ever brag about was his loving wife Michelle and their two young sons Ezekiel and Isaac, ages 11 and 9. He was a loyal guardian and loving teacher to Ezekiel who was diagnosed with autism, always pushing him past his obstacles in order to help him grow and give him a wonderful childhood. Bryan longed to see his two beautiful boys mature into the fine men they are on their way to becoming. He was an amazing father, guardian, and mentor, always ensuring his family followed Gods word and guiding his boys on Christ’s path to manhood.
