<div>
 Hi friends and kind spirits,
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We're organizing this on behalf of our friend/sister, Megan, who needs our collective help.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 On Sept. 9, Megan was admitted to the hospital after arm pain led to the discovery of a blood clot deep in her shoulder from what was later identified as a rare anatomical condition. What followed was a frightening and unexpected 16-day hospital stay. During that time, she underwent five blood transfusions and five surgeries, including three thrombectomies and the removal of her first rib on her left side. She also experienced various complications.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Megan was finally discharged from the hospital on Sept. 25, but her long road to recovery has only just begun.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 As a result of her surgeries, Megan has lost considerable function in her left arm for the time being, which significantly impacts her day-to-day life and her ability to work as a documentary filmmaker (and everything that goes along with that). For those who know Megan, you already know what an incredibly hard worker she is, and this whole ordeal has been emotionally trying as well as physically difficult. We’re raising these funds so that Megan can give her body the time it needs to fully heal without the added worry of making ends meet.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 All of the funds raised from this GoFundMe will go toward Megan’s medical expenses (past, present, and future), her living expenses, and any other bumps in the road that might turn up along her path to recovery.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 No donation is too small, and if you aren’t able to contribute financially, there are other ways to help, like sharing this fundraiser with your friends and networks.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for helping &lt;3
</div>
<div>

Megan Lovallo’s road to healing

<div>Our dear friends Mia, Joey and their three kids Emme, Nico, and Shylo are victims of the devastating fires in Altadena. Like so many others they have lost everything. Their home, their micro farm, and their family business has burned to the ground. They were able to get all of their animals and kids to safety but in the hustle they weren’t able to grab any personal items. They have nothing left and currently have no where to live. If you can, please donate to help this family through this devastating time of loss and uncertainty. It will be a long arduous process to rebuild the comfort and security of all they have lost. We love them dearly, as fixtures in the community and our hearts, we want them to once again have the chance to welcome friends and neighbors into their home as they always have.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their family business Instagram has more updates and photos of the amazing animals they consider family. @experiencefable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please note: Funds donated to the Chavez family through this page will be used exclusively for expenses *beyond* those covered by their insurance, the State of CA, FEMA, and other disaster aid organizations

<div>My name is Tiana Jackson from Los Angeles, CA and <strong>I'm raising money on behalf of my grandfather and mom, Willie Jackson and Tamara Jackson. </strong>My grandfather's house burned down on January 8th, 2025, in the Eaton Fire. His house at the top of Monterosa Dr. in Altadena. He was in such shock that he couldn't fathom the severity of the disaster and stayed looking through scraps of debris for hours. This was our family home. <strong>Any donation helps; prayers help even more.</strong> We need to support them in the best way possible right now. Thank you so much!

Jackson's Family Home Burned to the Ground in Eaton Fire

<div>On January 8th, Dustin and Erin's lives were forever changed when the Eaton Fire swept through Altadena. They evacuated due to the dangerous high winds, they would be gone for a night, never imagining their home would be impacted by the fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully, Dustin, Erin, and their beloved dogs, Gus and Elliot, are safe. As they navigate these circumstances, the support of friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals has been invaluable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These wonderful human beings generously housed me, Dustin's sister, when I first moved to LA and their home always felt like a second home to me. I’m reaching out to family, friends, and kind-hearted individuals to support Dustin and Erin during this unimaginable time. Let’s come together as a community to help Dustin and Erin as they rebuild their lives and move forward from these unprecedented events. Your kindness and generosity mean the world and make a real difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>NOTE FROM Dustin &amp; Erin: They're so thankful for everyone's support. We will make sure to extend any efforts from our end to aid those in the community who also need support similar to Dustin and Erin.

Support Dustin & Erin After Losing Home in Eaton Fire

<div>On Wednesday, September 4th, our dear friend <strong>Ryan Beck</strong> suffered a traumatic brain injury while playing a softball game. Luckily, 911 was called quickly and the EMTs arrived not too long after, but unfortunately, by that time his speech was slurred, he was confused, and in massive pain. He has been in the ICU since then and has received numerous CT scans and will continue to receive them in the following months. He is currently suffering from brain bleeding and is being monitored heavily by his doctors.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was unfortunately hit directly in the language center of his brain and continues to have slurred speech. He will have a long road to recovery with a good amount of speech therapy ahead of him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His family &amp; friends know how active he is, cycling outdoors every chance he can get. This injury has not only affected Ryan's physical health but has also brought emotional and financial stress to him. <strong>We want to make navigating this challenging time a bit easier for him.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your contributions will go directly toward medical expenses, rehabilitation, and any necessary adjustments to his living situation during recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>No amount is too small, and every dollar counts.</strong> If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support means the world to us and will make a tremendous difference in Ryan's journey to healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your kindness and generosity. Let's come together to help Ryan recover and return to doing what he loves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
<div>His family &amp; friends
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>***hi everyone - just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated. The donations and love received is beyond our expectations and we are all feeling so grateful and reassured in Ryan’s support. I’m happy to say Ryan was discharged from the hospital last night and is resting at home. He has a decent road to recovery ahead of him with a lot of speech therapy and neurological tests/appointments, he is still unable to look at screens so he’s been instructed to stay away from his phone for the time being still. Any messages sent here have been relayed to him and he’s so appreciative for all of the love. Thank you again and here is a pic of myself (Melissa) and Ryan from our visit last night.

Help Support Ryan Beck in his Recovery Journey

<div>Hi, my name is Erin and my friends Cyndi, Elisa and Victoria and I are fundraising for Mark Allen Ruegg, the best child wrangler in all of Los Angeles, CA. Mark has been diagnosed with a rare form of Pancreatic Cancer - Stage 4 - called NEC (neuroendocrine carcinoma) which is typically very aggressive. His treatment options are limited but he will be partaking in a combo of chemotherapy and immunotherapy to beat this!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mark has been a child wrangler in the commercial photo world for over 15 years. He's beloved by ALL the kids, parents, productions and crew he interacts with. His job is to help direct the kids to jump and laugh and have fun while the photographer snaps the award winning shots for big, corporate companies. Mark's repertoire with children is second to none as is his professionalism and uncanny knack for knowing how to calm and "redirect" a toddler's angst, sooth an upset baby into a gummy smile, make a 5 year old laugh uncontrollably and get a group of 8-10 year olds working together for a group shot outside, in the rain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We've know Mark for about 13 years and all of us were instantly drawn to his magnetic personality and kind demeanor. We've all worked together in tandem on set (we are the studio teachers that follow CA Labor laws and provide schooling and welfare for the kids while Mark gets to be the "fun guy") and have become friends. We call ourselves collectively "Team Kid." He's expanded his circle of wranglers over the years, and has helped train and gently guide them. He has helped cultivate a wonderful group of kind-hearted, funny and amazing people who are transforming the industry of photography. We've worked with many of them and can personally attest to the joy that they bring to set, in large part, because of Mark's tutelage.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His amazing wife Buffy is his rock, his guide, his best friend and is in need of our help. A cancer survivor in her own right, she is ready and willing to help Mark battle his disease. Mark works hard to earn his keep and his diagnosis has thrown their life plans for a devastating loop. Buffy and Mark need help covering their day-to-day bills while Mark battles for his life and we would like to help ease this burden.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My studio teacher friends and I are setting up this go-fund-me for Mark and Buffy to do just that, HELP! It absolutely sucks to feel helpless when someone you adore is going through the fight of his life and it's hard to know how to support them. So we encourage you to help by giving. ANY AMOUNT will be appreciated. All of the money donated will go directly to Mark and Buffy for living expenses, medical costs and any unforeseen bills they may incur.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In summary, Mark is amazing. And he wants you to know that YOU are amazing for caring. He hopes to be making you/your kids smile on set SOON with his silly jokes, gentle ways and ridiculous balloon animals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All our love,
</div>
<div>Erin, Cyndi, Elisa and Victoria

<div>Hooha aims to provide seamless &amp; stress-free access to organic period products in hotels, the workplace &amp; more. Hooha is currently raising funds to order our first round of products and packaging as Hooha has been fully self-funded thus far. We currently don't meet the minimum order requirements for my ideal factory and would love to be able to purchase quality products from a top manufacturer. With the right amount of funds, Hooha will be able to customize the packaging and have it shipped in quantities to fill orders. <div>Hello my name is Gina, Rondo’s niece.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rondo received his angel wings last Saturday 4/22. While none of us were expecting this, all who knew and loved Rondo know he’s at peace and has now reunited with his long lost love, Danny Barillaro.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rondo didn’t have many blood relatives, but holds a profound amount of adopted family through his network of amazing people. We are unable to access Rondo’s vehicle and had hoped to sell the jams he made last to support funeral costs, but at this time we do not know when or how we will get that yet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rondo’s great friend, Marilyn (Jyotima) is handling all of Rondo’s arrangements and could use some financial support to make this happen. Thank you in advance for loving my Uncle Rondo and for your consideration to donate.

<div>****Update*****
</div>
<div>Hello everybody,

</div>
<div>On behalf of Ralph and our entire family, thank you so much for your generosity. It has warmed our souls during an incredibly difficult time. Of course we never anticipated so much support for Ralph, but we wanted you to know that we are working with a certified financial advisor to establish a Trust to properly receive the funds and use them for all of the original purposes we described. All funds will be used for Ralph's benefit, as his well-being and safety is our highest priority. Right now we will continue to focus on Ralph's recovery, but in the future we are considering setting up a charity.

</div>
<div>Again, thank you so much for your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>***Update on Ralph***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph is currently at home with the family. He can ambulate and communicate. A true miracle considering what he survived.
</div>
<div>Each day is different. He has a long road ahead. However, we are very thankful that he is still here with us. I've been taking the time to read the emails and comments to Ralph. It warms our hearts to see him smile at all the kind words.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for loving Ralph
</div>
<div>----------------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Thursday, April 13, 2023, my nephew Ralph P Yarl was on his way to pick up his twin younger brothers from their friend's house a few blocks away from his house. He didn't have his phone. He mistakenly went to the wrong house, one block away from the house where his siblings were. He pulled into the driveway and rang the doorbell. The man in the home opened the door, looked my nephew in the eye, and shot him in the head. My nephew fell to the ground, and the man shot him again. Ralph was then able to get up and run to the neighbor's house, looking for help.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph Pual Yarl is a fantastic kid, and I am not just saying this because he is my nephew. He truly is. At school, he is a member of the Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team. Jazz and competition band. He is a section leader in the marching band; a scholar and one of the top bass clarinet players in Missouri. He recently earned Missouri All-State Band recognition with an honorable mention. He plays multiple instruments in the metropolitan youth orchestra. He is a 2022 Missouri scholar academy alumni. Ralph can often be found with a musical instrument. He loves them all.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last summer, Ralph attended Missouri Scholar’s Academy, where he got a full college life experience. His goal is to attend Texas A&amp;M to major in chemical Engineering. When asked how he plans to get into this university, he said, “Well, if they have a scholarship for music or academics, I know I can get it.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph's teacher and friends describe him as “ a kind soul,” “quiet,” “friendly,” “well-mannered,” “always willing to help,” “super smart,” and a “musical genius.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph was looking forward to graduating high school and finally getting the opportunity to visit West Africa before starting college.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Life looks a lot different right now. Even though he is doing well physically, he has a long road ahead mentally and emotionally. The trauma that he has to endure and survive is unimaginable. He is our miracle. We have heard these types of stories many times, and unfortunately, most black boys are not alive to get another chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph deserves to have the future that he has dreams about. He deserves to be the light that shows the world that LOVE wins and that humanity is still Good.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, he will need a lot of help to get there. Funds from this account will be used for his medical bills and therapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any additional funds will be use for college expenses at Texas A&amp;M, a trip to West Africa, and other expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you
</div>

Ralph Yarl

<div>As many of you may know by now, there was a mass shooting in Highland Park, IL during the Fourth of July Parade. A parade my family attends every year filled with happiness and laughter. This year was different, this year was filled with fear, sadness, and tragedy. Both my grandparents, Maria and Eduardo Uvaldo, and younger brother were victims of the Highland Park Parade. My brother got shot in the arm, but is okay. My grandma got hit with fragments in the head. Unfortunately my grandpa got shot in the arm, then in the back of the head. He is in critical condition. My grandpa is a kind, loving, and funny man who did not deserve this. We pray for a positive outcome, but the doctors say the chances are low. With the unexpected incident, any donation will help. Thank you.

<div>Hi! I'm Dom.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><strong>Story + History</strong>
</div>

<div>Pink Folder Film House is a photo lab in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn that I originally started in 2017, and ran from my home. In 2018 I had to put it to the side because I didn't have enough equipment to make it viable
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>More recently, in 2019, I brought the idea to my two friends Sig and Victor. We came together, saved, and purchased a lot of necessary machinery for the bulk of our services which made PF far more functional. Still operating from home however was proving to be difficult - and still required me to bike to pick up and drop off the films.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>In 2021, after searching tirelessly through the winter for a location, we were able to find space to rent from LaParis! Game changer. LaParis is the owner of Brooklyn Blooms Floral Boutique.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>That being said, Pink Folder is located in the basement of Brooklyn Blooms's 2nd location at 1113 Fulton Street, 11238.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We officially opened our [physical] doors in March of 2021. No more tired legs, it has been very lit.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>A few customers tumbled in during our first months; some of the same customers since the home days (thank you guys ❤️). However, over time, we've seen customers grow at a steady + manageable pace - not to mention some of you guys are so enthusiastic and happy to support and it means so much - so also thank you to those of you.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>With the growth of customers it's been getting CRAZY. Everything is hand developed (though partially machine aided) and scanning still takes sometime.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We're completely grateful for where we’ve come, but very aware that we have somethings to get in order so we can grow with the pace of business - don’t want to have people waiting more than a couple days for their film.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><strong>Our Work Flow</strong>
</div>

<div>Although we are three, Vic and Sig only have two days out of the week collectively to donate to PF. Often times I'm at the shop alone running upstairs to handle customers but also, organizing their orders, developing their orders, scanning their film, keeping track of finances, taking care of all our legal obligations, working with distributors on getting good prices for film, procrastinating, creating graphics, updating the instagram and much more.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Money that is made from the business is put directly back into the business but soon I'm going to run out of my savings and be forced to begin to pay myself which can stunt growth. Also we've had to take on an Intern who, although is super enthusiastic and glad just to be with us, at some point needs to be paid. My mans needs his coin.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><strong>Where the money will go</strong>
</div>

<div>We could really use your support to help get:
</div>

<ul>
<li>New machinery to properly handle our growing pains (help us to get people their film on time. This alone would cost $25,000-$35,000 )
</li>

</ul>
<div>
</div>

<ul>
<li>Insurance that we'll be able to pay our employees and ourselves wages for at least 5 months (would allow Sig, Vic and our intern Jośe to quit their jobs and give 100% to working on PF).
</li>

</ul>
<div>
</div>

<ul>
<li>Increase our film stock (we don't make much money from selling film - however we want to be a place photographers are able to get an assortment of films from. We've been slowly expanding our film stock with business profits since day 1, but since film cost so much our stock is still very small).
</li>

</ul>
<div>
</div>

<ul>
<li>Repair our work environment (we rent out the basement at 1113 Fulton Street, 11238. The basement has a crumbling infrastructure. It's dreary, wires are exposed, pipes are exposed, brick walls are constantly crumbling , it's humid during the summer and very cold during the winter).
</li>

</ul>
<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><strong>Thank You!</strong>
</div>

<div>Thank you all for taking the time out to read this.
</div>

<div>For anyone donating thank you again.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><strong>If you’re wondering about alternative ways to help -</strong> simply promoting our business to your friends, dropping by and giving us a try, or sharing this Go Fund Me to your social media are just some ideas. Feel welcome to be creative though. ✨

Help a Bed-Stuy Photo Lab to Their Next Step

Hi everyone,<br /><br />Sheba, a friend and collaborator, is currently in a really tough situation. Due to emergency circumstances, she's currently houseless and needs all the help she can get to get herself back on her feet. The money raised will be going to help secure housing and to either fix or purchase a new vehicle so she can have access to her own mode of transportation again.<br /><br />The faster we can get funds to her the better as this situation is time-sensitive.<br /><br />I met Sheba a few years ago in Portland, when she had just recently moved back from Atlanta to be with her son Maurice, and we've kept in touch ever since. She's an incredibly kind and caring person who has unfortunately been met with a lot of hardships in the last few years.<br /><br />Portland is home for her—having been born and raised here—and it's where she intends to stay, whatever it takes. Let's help her ensure that she's financially secure so she can focus on being a mom and building a home here.

Help Sheba Find Secure Housing and a Car

<br /><strong>On December 30th, 2020, the world suddenly and unexpectedly lost the bright light of Terrell Davis.</strong><br /><br />Beloved son, brother, artist, friend, and super fan; Terrell Davis filled the lives’ of his loved ones with laughter, joy, and art.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/53666000_1609573867716975_r.jpeg" alt="53666000_1609573867716975_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Terrell developed a singular style early in his artistic career, garnering national recognition while he was still in high school. At a young age, he was participating in and curating gallery shows, and co-created Tensquare, an online and virtual gallery.<br /><br />By the time he started at the School of Arts Institute Chicago in 2016, he had launched his artist brand, terrell®, and built a body of work that revealed a talent far beyond his age.<br /><br />In 2020, Terrell graduated from the School of Arts Institute Chicago at the age of 22, while contributing to major projects for Opening Ceremony, Club Quarantine, Second Sky Fest, and Redbull music. A lifelong dedicated student who was constantly sharpening his eye and style, Terrell never confined himself to a singular medium within digital art. He created clothing, visuals for musicians, music videos, zines and books, prints, live streams, and curated exhibits. His final school project, debuted at the 2020 Spring Undergraduate Exhibition at SAIC, was Physical Retrospective I: 2015-2020, a curated selection of his own artwork with the volume and organization of an artist with decades of experience.<br /><br />Terrell’s instantly iconic work evoked a glowing, unobtainable, meticulous neo-nostalgia that resonated both with his peers and the art community at large. He was widely admired and respected for his incredible sense of composition, color, and curation. Terrell was an active member of the LGBTQ community both online and off, and had an ardent passion for social justice. He upheld those principles to the highest standard, and incorporated them into his practice and lifestyle.<br /><br />Many believed that Terrell Davis was destined for artistic super-star greatness. His sudden absence after a brief illness has left a hole in the world that will never be replaced. His impact is undeniable and everlasting, and he will be deeply missed by his peers.<br /><br />The digital arts community has come together to honor and remember Terrell’s incredibly artistic legacy.  Please consider donating or sharing this campaign to help with unexpected and mounting medical and funeral costs. All donations go directly to the Davis Family.<br /><br />For more information on Terrell’s incredible work, please see the links below:<br /><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CH_AJkAjnUE/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Instagram</a> <br /><a href="https://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/terrell-davis-digital-graphic-design-190820" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Its Nice That Interview</a> <br /><a href="https://www.papermag.com/artist-terrell-davis-on-pop-culture-as-healing-and-bling-as-a-politica-2024843825.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Paper Mag</a>
