In February 2024, I suffered a double pulmonary embolism that left me hospitalized for over 20 days. During my stay, I became septic due to a severe lung infection, which has permanently impacted my lung function. My condition worsened despite constant testing and monitoring, and there were moments when things felt incredibly uncertain. Thankfully, after three weeks, I was stable enough to be discharged.
The recovery process at home was long and difficult, including multiple emergency room visits over the following months. Only in the last several months have I finally begun to feel like myself again.
This past year has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced — physically, emotionally, and financially. While I am incredibly grateful to be alive, healing, and back at work, the financial strain has been overwhelming. Missed work, insurance deductibles, co-pays, ongoing specialist visits, prescriptions, and repeated emergency care have depleted the majority of my savings. Even now, I’m still managing costs related to this medical crisis.
I had hoped to shoulder this on my own, and I’ve done everything I can to manage it independently. But the reality is that I can’t keep up with the ongoing expenses alone. After much encouragement from friends, I’ve decided to ask for help.
If you’re in a position to contribute, any amount makes a meaningful difference. And if financial support isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser with your community helps more than you know.
I’m deeply grateful for your support — and if you need a makeup artist, I’m officially back from the dead.
