<div>My name is Melody. I am a 30-year-old wife and mother of a handsome 4-year-old boy. I graduated from Hermitage High School in 2013. I recently underwent surgery for a semicolon resection from an abscess in my lower colon. In surgery, they discovered that it was not an abscess but in fact stage 3 colon cancer. They removed the tumor but are unsure if I still have cancer in my colon or other structures.

<div><strong>I am raising money for the oncologist (cancer doctor) appointments and the treatments I will have to undergo.</strong> As of now, we know I most likely will be having chemotherapy, and insurance doesn't cover the entire cost of the treatments.

<div>Some will go towards traveling expenses to and from treatments. Some of the money raised will pay for medications.

<div>The remainder of donations will go directly to the Cancer Center to pay for medical treatments like the chemotherapy injections.
