Improving my life after tragedy

❤️ I’M ASKING YOU TO BE A BLESSING ❤️ I don’t ask people for help easily. If you know me, you know I have always been the person who gives. I have helped people when I didn’t have much myself. I have fed people, encouraged people, supported people, showed up for people, and given from my heart without expecting anything in return. But right now, I am the one who needs someone to show up for me. I’m asking you to please consider supporting my GoFundMe. I am working hard to rebuild my life, regain my independence, and move forward from a season that has taken so much from me. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to stability, independence, and a better tomorrow. Sometimes God blesses us not just for ourselves, but so we can become a blessing to somebody else. You may not realize what $5, $10, $25, or $50 means to someone who is fighting to put their life back together. What may feel small to you could be a major blessing to me. And if you are unable to donate, please share my fundraiser. Sharing costs nothing, and you never know whose heart God may touch through your share. I truly believe that blessings come full circle. I have spent so much of my life being there for others, and today I am humbly asking someone to be there for me. If God has blessed you, please consider being a blessing to me. Donate if you can. Share if you can. Pray if you can. But please don’t scroll past without doing at least one. Your kindness could help change the direction of someone’s life. ❤️ Thank you to every person who has already supported me, encouraged me, prayed for me, or simply checked on me. I will never take it for granted. God bless you abundantly, and may every blessing you give come back to you in ways you never expected. ❤️
I’m Still Here, Still Fighting, and I Still Need Your Help ❤️ I’ve been trying to figure out how to write this update because, honestly, I’m exhausted. Not just physically, but emotionally. This has been one of the hardest chapters of my life, and sometimes it feels like I’ve been fighting for so long that people forget I’m still in the middle of it. I’m still healing from my foot and ankle injury, and until I heal, so much of my life is still on hold. I’m waiting to get back into physical therapy so I can work on my balance, strengthen my body, and continue rehabbing my back. But there is finally something I’m excited about. I was approved through OVR for a driving evaluation. It’s a very expensive program, but being able to drive again would mean so much more than simply having a car. It would mean independence. Freedom. Being able to get myself to appointments, work, stores, and wherever else I need to go without constantly having to depend on someone else. After everything I’ve lost, getting my independence back is incredibly important to me. I also saw my new endocrinologist on August 26th. She completely evaluated me and changed all of my medications. It was a lot to take in, and I left feeling emotional. But I keep reminding myself that I still have time to get things right. I’m trying. I’m doing the appointments. I’m taking the steps. I’m fighting to get healthy enough to rebuild my life. I’m also continuing therapy, and thankfully that has been going well. What people may not see is everything happening behind the scenes. I’m still waiting for my SSDI hearing. I’m still working toward stable housing. I’m still dealing with storage expenses and the everyday costs of trying to survive while I’m unable to work. I’m trying to rebuild a life after losing so much of the independence I once had. And this is where I need to be honest. I still need help. I now some people donated months ago. Some have shared my fundraiser. Some have checked on me. Some may have simply watched my journey from a distance. I appreciate every single person who has done something to help. But the reality is that my situation hasn’t ended just because time has passed. I still have bills. I still have basic needs. I still have medical expenses and transportation needs. I still have storage fees. I still need to get to a place where I can safely support myself again. I haven’t received a donation in a couple of weeks, and while I understand that everyone has their own responsibilities and financial struggles, I’m asking those who are able to please consider helping me again. Even $5, $10, or $20 matters. It may seem small, but when enough people give a little, it can make a huge difference for someone who is trying to survive until they can stand on their own again. And if you genuinely cannot donate, please share this. You never know who might see it and be in a position to help. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life asking people for help. My goal is to get healthy, regain my independence, return to work, secure stable housing, and take care of myself again. I just need help getting from where I am now to where I’m trying to go. I’ve already survived things I never thought I would have to survive. I’ve cried. I’ve struggled. I’ve been frustrated. I’ve felt forgotten. But I’m still here. I’m still fighting for my life. I’m still fighting for my independence. And I’m still fighting for the future I know I deserve. If you’ve been following my journey, please don’t assume that because I’m quiet that I’m okay or that I no longer need help. I’m still trying to make it through. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand beside me.

Hi, my name is Patrice, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest transitions of my life. Last year, I underwent a life-changing amputation. With the support of this community, I was able to cover critical needs during my recovery.
