Help Patrice Rebuild Life After Amputation

Hello, my name is Patrice Wakanda 4 Ever Michelle.

I am a new below-the-knee amputee. It was not a planned life change; minimal time was allotted to prepare for this unfortunate event.

I had my dream job, great health insurance, secured a new home with a security deposit, my license, my independence, and my right leg. I lost it all in a matter of weeks due to my hospitalization, in which I survived 5 surgeries before my actual amputation on March 4th.

I was demoted at my job so it appears as though I wasn't fired, which led to my health insurance being canceled. No income, and no health insurance. I am unable to go back to work for the next 6-12 months as I now have to learn a new way of living. While I am applying for medical assistance and disability, which is a process that takes months, I am in need of financial assistance now to cover medical expenses and bills. I am in need of medical equipment that would make my transition from rehabilitation to home easier (wheelchair, ramp, walker, prosthetic leg, etc.). I will also have to go to several medical appointments, which will require transportation expenses.
