<div>I'm Sandy Ganzer and I'm raising funds for my father, Jim Ganzer and my stepmother, Louise, who lost their house in the devastating Palisades fire. My father owned the house since the 1980's. It was the home that I grew up in, the home I raised my own son in, and the source of countless formative memories.

<div>It is hard to understate what they've lost. The house and Jim's work studio were both completely leveled, taking everything they owned with it. They left in such a hurry even essential items like Louise's purse, the deed to the house, and their passports were left behind. The time and cost of replacing these items is immense, and on top of that they have to try support themselves while trying to figure out a long term living situation.

<div>Jim is a retired artist, too old to work, and even suffered a stroke just last month.

<div>Louise is still working but has to put her money towards the mortgage on the house - which they are expected to continue paying despite it no longer standing.

If you have kids and I'm working, I'm probably giving them free fancy lollipops imported from France or free stickers. We are that kind of joint...a real neighborhood spot. I bet I know 90% of our regulars' dogs' names...we are that place.

Because I love this community and didn't want to put financial pressure on anyone. It seemed like the right thing to do. I turned a shitty loading dock into what I saw as a beautiful "backyard stage" of local talent.

<div>We have shipped merch all over the world. Like, lots of it. We've been to Tokyo and seen people walking the streets wearing Side Pie shirts. It's surreal. All from what started in my side yard in the pandemic as a project to give back to the community.

Help Us Offset Medical Expenses for Dustin

<div>This is a fundraiser for my mom, Ruthann. Doctors recently diagnosed her with breast cancer. She goes into surgery September 16th. They feel highly optimistic that the removal will be a success and she will heal up just fine.

Help my mom with post-surgery recovery costs

<div>In mid-February, Christina and Roger received the dreaded news that no parent wants to hear: their four-year-old daughter, Isabella (Izzie), has Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Those that know Izzie, know that she is a smart, energetic, sassy little girl that lights up any room that she enters!  She keeps everyone on her toes (including the doctors and nurses that tend to her at CHOP!).

<div>Fortunately, with a team of incredible doctors and nurses, her brave and loving parents and grandparents, and Izzie's fierce warrior spirit, Izzie is responding well to her treatments and has been able to return home to continue her battle.
</div>

<div>However, her journey is far from over.  Over the next several months, Izzie will be back and forth between home, doctors' offices, and CHOP. As the medical bills begin to roll in, Roger and Christina will both have to step away from work to focus on their most valuable treasure.  Christina will be forced to take unpaid leave, and she will need to pay into the family’s health insurance to keep it.  Due to Izzie’s condition, she isn’t able to attend school, and if Roger doesn’t work, he doesn’t earn pay.

<div>Tim had a heart attack last night, and required bypass surgery. He will be down for a few months and can use all the help he can get to get through!

The money will be used to help Tim with rent, expenses and hospital bills, as it’s predicted by his surgeon that he won’t be able to work for 4-6 months.

<p>As many of you know, Whitney Isetta has recently lost her house in a fire. You probably also know that she recently lost her mother to cancer. It is very early and hard to know what her family will need, but I know Whitney has an army of loved-ones who want to help her.

Joel Kvernmo is a father, husband, business owner, and all-around good guy living in Los Angeles with his wife, Rosanna, and their daughter Judith, born in January of this year.<br />Anyone who knows Joel has a story to tell about his generosity and sense of humor. Here is a guy who has enthusiastically shown you around Shorthand (the shop he and Rosanna own in Highland Park), welcomed you into his house for a meal, made you a carefully crafted cocktail at a backyard barbeque, lent you a hand and his expertise to troubleshoot a particularly tricky project - all with a smile and a quick wit. <br />And now, the hard part. Joel was recently diagnosed with a Grade III Glioma Anaplastic Astrocytoma, after undergoing brain surgery on May 4th to remove a tumor found earlier this spring. In true Joel style, he's been updating friends and family via his Brain Tumor Gazette (you can catch up and subscribe <a href="http://joelkvernmo.com/brain_tumor">here</a>  if you're so inclined).<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/29472836_1528746554293764_r.jpeg" alt="29472836_1528746554293764_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />At the moment, we know very little about what is ahead for him and his family, but what we do know is that he begins radiation and chemotherapy on June 12th. Fortunately, this treatment is mostly covered by insurance. Unfortunately, there are many expenses and hardships ahead for the Kvernmos, and this fundraiser is an effort to offset some of those expenses - specifically, the out of pocket medical costs and loss of work as both he and Rosanna focus on his health in the coming year.  <br />We've set up this campaign to offer some stationery themed treats to you in exchange for a donation to the Kvernmo family, including greeting cards from some of our stationery buds, and special edition Shorthand notebooks (see photo below). <br />We, the Maplewood Arts Council, are working to bring the immense creative energy of our community back to the Maplewood station tunnels. We'll soon ask local artists to submit proposals for works of art on these walls and beautify the station once again!<br /><br />As the official arts advisory committee to the Township of Maplewood, we are working closely with NJ Transit, and Maplewood officials, to make this happen. But – for this project to succeed — we also need your help.<br /><br />We’re raising $10,000 to complete this project – which includes the main tunnel at the station. LAND AND SEA 2018 PROGRAMMING

Jon Bunch left this earth too soon. With his voice and his positivity, he left an indelible impression on everyone he met or played for, including me. The outpouring of sadness and support for Jon on Facebook and other channels from around the world has been overwhelming. I am lucky to have been blessed with Jon's friendship for so many years and want to do whatever I can to help wherever its needed most.<br /><br />Jon has a 12-year old son, Jack, that he would have loved to see go to college. This fund is being established with the future cost of Jack's higher learning as its primary objective. Second, Jon's family will need assistance with funeral-related expenses. Finally, Jon's mother conveyed that her son always had a passion for helping kids in need and so a portion of the proceeds will be allocated to a children's charity of the family's choosing.<br /><br />Any amount you can offer is greatly appreciated and will be put to use toward the above three goals. Cancer is  not a word any parent likes to think about, but this dirty disease has recently been on a lot of our minds. As many of you may know, sweet Sofia Anderson, 2 year old daughter of Patrick and Catalina Anderson has been diagnosed with stage 3 neuroblastoma. They are such a strong family, but they have a long road ahead of them. They will be recieving chemotherapy at All Children's  Hospital in St Pete, where they are currently staying.  It is an incredibly heart-wrenching experience to have to watch your child go through any pain, much less being told they will have to battle the big C.  Cat and Pat have touched so many of our lives with their kindness and friendship. I know many people have been asking how they can help. Staying in the hospital for such a long time is not only  emotionally exhausting but also financially draining. Any donations towards little Sofia's care would be greatly appreciated.
