<div>Dear friends and everyone who has supported us from the beginning,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>First, we (the Orlandini family and owners of Altadena Hardware) want to say we are with you and grieve the devastation and loss so many in our community are experiencing in this moment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85570767_1736964625289856_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We come to you with heavy hearts as we rally together to support brothers Jimmy and Rob Orlandini—the faces behind the Altadena Hardware store. The devastating Eaton Fires took a significant toll on the entire Altadena community, including this beloved hardware store. Altadena Hardware has been serving the Altadena community and beyond for <strong>nearly 100 years</strong> and since 2010 has been lovingly run by the Orlandini's, continuing a five decades long family tradition in the hardware business.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85570767_1736964733211642_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jimmy and Rob both grew up on Mendocino Lane, establishing their own families in the neighborhood and dedicating their lives to serving this community. Their parents, Jim and Paula have also been active members of the Altadena community for over 40 years and still live on Mendocino Lane (thankfully their home still stands). Jimmy and his wife Alison, along with their three kids—James (9), Emily (6), and Zoey (4)—and Rob and Kelli, also with their three kids—Dylan (2), Sofia (6), and Camden (8)—call Altadena their home. While their houses somehow survived, most of their friends' and neighbors' homes, along with neighboring businesses, are all gone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Altadena Hardware has provided more than just hardware supplies; they’ve offered a place where the Altadena community can transform their houses into homes and neighbors become friends. If you know Jimmy and Rob, you know that they greet their customers by name and have been a family resource for over 15 years in this neighborhood. As the Altadena community seeks to rebuild, my Orlandini family hopes to rebuild the store so they can support the city in recovering from this unfathomable loss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are launching this GoFundMe campaign <strong>to help cover payroll for our dedicated employees</strong>, who are like family and make Altadena Hardware what it is. Anything beyond this immediate need will go towards recouping the significant losses for the business and to support both families during this difficult transition.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support, no matter the amount, will make a profound difference. Together, we can help rebuild the Altadena community and Altadena Hardware, ensuring it continues to be a pillar of our community for generations to come.
</div>

Support Altadena Hardware and Our Community after Eaton Fire

<div>I'm reaching out during a devastating time for my family. On their way to the flea market to sell clothes, my mom (Florencia) and

</div>

<div>15-year-old sister (Lizbeth) were involved in a terrible head-on collision caused by a suicidal wrong-way driver. Both of them have suffered severe injuries and face a long road to recovery.

</div>

<div>My mom is dealing with:

</div>

<div>* Fractured ribs

</div>

<div>* A fractured nose

</div>

<div>* A sprained ankle

</div>

<div>* Back pain and severe headaches

</div>

<div>* Difficulty urinating, requiring a catheter

</div>

<div>* Concussion

</div>

<div>My 15-year-old sister's injuries are even more serious and too graphic to post:

</div>

<div>* Bleeding in her head

</div>

<div>* A fractured femur

</div>

<div>* Fractured legs

</div>

<div>She is undergoing surgery today, but

</div>

<div>right now, she's barely responsive. I haven't been able to speak to her, and it breaks my heart not knowing what's ahead for her. My mom, who is the main provider for our family, will be out of work in the meantime. On top of that, my dad will need to take time off from work to care for her until she can fully recover. We're now facing medical bills, lost income, recovering mother.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I'm asking for your help-whether it's a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser. If you can't donate, please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means the world to us, and we're holding onto hope that my little sister will pull through.

</div>

<div>Thank you for anything you can give, even if it's just your positive energy.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With love

Support for my family after tragic accident on 134 freeway

<div>Our good friend John Horan is dealing with a medical emergency and needs your help. To give you some background:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After consistent headaches and not feeling well, John’s friends took him to the ER late the night of December 10th. After being admitted and getting a CT scan, John was transferred to the neurological ICU.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On the CT scan they found that he had a cyst pressing on the 3rd ventricle of the right frontal lobe in his brain, causing the excess fluid to build up. On December 12th, they successfully performed the mini craniotomy and removed the cyst.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>John is now awake and each day he has been improving. But there is a still a long road to recovery ahead of him. John fortunately has insurance, but we don’t know yet what will be covered from his extended stay at the hospital. He will likely be out of work for a good amount of time. His family has been (and will be) traveling back and forth across the country and staying for an extended period of time to be with him and support him. He will need physical therapy to get back to full strength.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re raising money to help John get all of the resources he needs to fully recover as quickly as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you want to follow along on how John is doing, this <a href="https://www.caringbridge.org/site/75f8f170-ba65-11ef-8890-0dbfacb24478?utm_source=website_share&amp;utm_medium=share_button&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=link_share_button&amp;utm_campaign=private_home_page" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">CaringBridge</a> page is being updated by John’s family. <div>On November 8th Danielle, Chris and Penelope lost the newest member of their family, Mateo Ray Pedroza. On top of such an immense loss, they will also be faced with a large hospital bill in the near future. Please consider donating any amount to this young family as they are focused on their healing and grieving process. Financial support will go a long way in lessening the burden the Pedrozas now face. Thank you in advance for your help.

<div>On January 21, at least 11 individuals were killed and many more seriously injured in a shooting spree that occurred at a dance studio in Monterey Park, just blocks away from a joyous New Year festival where thousands of people gathered. Our hearts go out to the victims of this horrific tragedy. 100% of donations received will be directly distributed to individuals who are now suffering from this senseless violence.

Monterey Park Lunar New Year Victims Fund

<div>Jamal Patterson, a beloved husband and young father, was shot and killed in Northwest Pasadena on October 25, 2021. Jamal was the provider for his family, and now his wife Kyra is struggling to make ends meet for herself and their two young children with Autism. She and the children are not only devastated by the loss of Jamal, but Kyra is also worried about how to pay their bills. No grieving family should also be worried about whether they can pay for food and rent. Let's show Kyra and the children that their neighbors care for them and want to help them get through this difficult time.

<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/57109301_1621872148153787_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="57109301_1621872148153787_r.jpeg" /><br /><br />#BLMDenaYouth was created to be a safe haven for the youth of Northwest Pasadena . It is a space formed to empower and uplift the youth. <br /><br />Northwest Pasadena lacks the programs, tools and resources for youth and young adults to prosper and have a fighting chance in life. The youth deserve a better foundation for success. They deserve to know who they are and where they come from.<br /><br />Summertime is here, and the youth of Northwest Pasadena will be out of school, thus meaning they will be at the park with no summer programs. This leaves them as targets for the Pasadena police department to harass. The school to prison pipeline is a booming business in AMERIKKKA, predominantly affecting Black youth . WE BLACK LIVES MATTER PASADENA  would like to center summer 2021 on the #BLMDenaYouth in Northwest Pasadena. <br /><br />We want to create an environment which the youth can experience what it is like to actually have some SUMMERTIME FUN, and also build an environment where they can learn to give back to their community and take control of their own futures. We are asking the community to come together and give the youth in Northwest Pasadena the chance to have a fun, interactive summer.  We want to take away the financial burden from families by providing resources and field trips for the youth free of charge. <br /><br />The youth have asked Freedom School to return this summer. This fundraiser is run by Black Lives Matter Pasadena and all funds will go to making Freedom School possible this summer 2021.  The funding will support seven weeks of youth programming, Monday-Saturday and will include weekly field trips chosen by the youth to a group of 25 kids. The programming will be 100% free to all youth who participate; however, there are many expenses including the costs of field trips, transportation, lunch, and supplies. <br /><br />Please support Freedom School 2021 and donate today.  Contact us clicking the "Contact" button below if you would like to sign up to volunteer. I hate asking for help, but <strong>my sweet Henry is very sick -and I need help</strong>.  Last week he stopped eating or drinking and after bloodwork and ultrasounds it was revealed that he has hepatic lipidosis, which is where a cat's liver develops fatty deposits/starts to shut down because they stop eating. Here is where it gets complicated: <strong>his hepatic lipidosis is being caused by pancreatitis AND intestinal disease (which may or may not be lymphoma).</strong><br /><br />I have opted out of doing a biopsy to find out if it is lymphoma because the treatment is the same regardless.<br /><br />They have put in a feeding tube and they want me to keep him in the hospital for a few days, which is way too much money for me to afford. When I do take him home I will need to continue feeding him/treating him with antibiotics and steroids through his feeding tube. I will also need to take him to the vet every few days to have his bloodwork/follow up ultrasounds done. This could go on indefinitely or it could eventually resolve itself.<br /><br />There is no way to know if this will work, it depends on if we can stabalize his liver. <strong>But theoretically once we get him stable he could continue to live a happy (albeit complicated) life. </strong><br /><br />So, <strong>I am fundraising to see if I can cover a) an extra day in the hospital and b) to help us through potentially months of follow up visits.</strong> I don't want to give up on this sweet baby who brings me and so many other people joy.  Anything that you can spare would go a long way in helping us through this dire situation.<br /><br />Thank you, we love you, and are so grateful for your support.

I'm Sadie Leigh, an artist and yoga teacher born and raised in the DC/Metropolitan Area. Over the past three years, I've had the immense joy of diving deeper into the study of yoga. Since completing a 200 hour training program at Flow Yoga Center, I've continued to learn and grow by way of attending classes with my wonderful teachers, reading and discussing yogic texts, learning so much from my students, and perhaps most importantly, by trying to live my life with as much love and compassion as possible.<br /><br />And now, I feel called to deepen my learning even more. The Dharma Yoga 500 hour Life of a Yogi training "is an opportunity for certified teachers to take an in-depth look at the entire sacred science of yoga through the lens of Yogi Sri Dharma Mittra’s experience with his Guru and his almost half century of practice and teaching." I hope to learn from Sri Dharma, and the other incredible teachers at the Dharma Yoga Center, and be able to return to DC (and who knows where else!) with that much more knowledge, understanding, and compassion, in order to offer yoga classes to better serve my students, my friends, my wonderful community.<br /><br />I'm raising funds to supplement the cost of the application fee, tuition, required books &amp; supplies, and travel costs for the portion of the training that takes place in New York.<br /><br />Anything you're willing and able to give will be immensely appreciated. And if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to talk with you about this training, yoga philosophy, how yoga has affected my life as an artist (and vice versa), or whatever you'd like to chat about!<br /><br />peace and love and om<br />sadie leigh<br /><br />p.s.
