Thank you for sharing our fundraiser. It’s been a roller coaster. We were going to put the kids on the bus to get them here but right at the last minute they dropped this route. Then my daughter said the kids were sad that the few toys and stuffed animals they’d gotten they’d have to leave behind. We knew the bus option was out because of the bus not coming here anymore. So now we’re looking at driving two cars. Which is going to cost a lot in gas. We are so thankful for the $2000 that was donated. But we need more. We’ll need to spend the night going to Oregon because it’s a 9 hour drive and I was just in the ER last night for the horrible sciatica pain I’m having. I’ve never been in this much pain. And my hair is falling out so badly the Drs have ran labs to try and find out what’s going on with my body. They’re going to re run a couple of the tests in two weeks. I’m so tired of going to dr after dr. It’s really getting me down and worrying about if the kids have a place to sleep each night. It’s heartbreaking for a mama to have to sit back 800+ miles away and wonder if your kids are under a tree behind Walmart or do they have food to eat. I’ve sent them $200 of this money because we just need to hurry up and get them here. I’ll need get them a little studio for awhile like we have and the place we rent from is really accommodating and they’ll take the one bed out and put two doubles in there. Please if you have it in your heart to make a donation. No donation is too snall I’m going to have to board my dog for 3-4 days while we’re away. I believe in the power of God and if comes down to just going on a little under 2,000 and prayer. So be it. I trust God will put people in our paths to help us along the way. And when it comes to getting my kids to a safe place to live I’m not too good to ask for help from strangers. If we run out of gas I will stand next to the road with a sign to ask for help. Im praying I don’t have to do that. In a perfect world Gods people would come together and see that one of gods children was crying out for help and they’d get together and raise the funds to get their children what the needed to get out of homelessness. But we live in a world where unfortunately there is more bad than good. It makes me sad when I see people with so much and they’ve been blessed or worked really hard to get to that point of doing so good. But when I see people especially with children homeless and hungry it breaks my heart. If I was blessed with money I’d go out of my way to find people that needed a hand up. Not a hand out but get them a place to get out of the elements and a good meal and some gift cards to help them going forward. I have Venmo if you don’t like go fund me. They take about 30-50 dollars out of a thousand dollars. And they put $1000 in my bank account but I’m still waiting on the rest. We’ve put ourselves in jeopardy of losing out little studio from using money that was meant for rent and bills to send to them for a motel room and food. And they’re trying so hard to make it. They’re both working full time and getting checks but they’re using it to pay for motel rooms and food to eat. There’s many nights my daughter and her husband don’t eat so they can make the money stretch a little further. They’ve went to find banks and ate cold canned food. Then they lay awake at night worrying and praying that they’ll be able to make it here where there are more resources and people are kind. So that’s where we are. Physical ready to go any day but I have $850 of the first thousand in my Venmo because I had to send them money for a room and food. I need to get them here before we go through the moneywe have keeping them off the streets. Please continue to share this and pray fervently that we’ll raise a little more money to fuel two cars one of which is a 2006 Nissan pathfinder that has 280,000 miles on it and goes through fuel like water. Thank you so very much for donating to me and my family. You are a God send. We’re up to $2,000 but still have a ways to go. We thought we’d get bus tickets for them to get here but we’re in Southern Idaho 40 miles from the border of Nevada. The bus doesn’t come this far south. So we checked Amtrak & they don’t come here either. I thought maybe we could drive the 130 miles to Boise & pick them up. But, Amtrak only comes to the very top of Idaho up by Canada. So it looks like we’re going to try and fly them here. That’s not going to be cheap. It’ll probably take up most of the money we’ve raised. Plus now in order to fly you haye to have the star card and the kids will need to get passports. All to fly 900 miles. We can’t drive because our car only fits 5 ppl. So it’s going to cost more than we thought. God bless you for donating and going on this journey with us. We’re keeping the faith that God will provide and bless us with the rest of funds to bring our family together. ❤️‍

My name is Bonnie, and I am asking for help for my family: my husband and me, my daughter and son-in-law, and our three precious grandchildren. We moved from Oregon to Idaho in 2018 for work and believed we would quickly find stable housing, but life took a very different turn. After job changes and my growing health issues, we ended up in an extended stay motel. The monthly cost has made it impossible to save for a home, and I am also carrying more than $48,000 in medical bills while seeing five specialists. We are in our 60s and doing everything we can, but we are now one step away from homelessness ourselves. At the same time, my daughter and her family lost their place in Oregon when the property was sold. They were already living paycheck to paycheck, and the motels they turned to were so expensive that they were going without food just to keep a roof over their heads. I did what I could and sent money for food when I could not bear the thought of my grandchildren being hungry, but now they have run out of options. Shelters are full, and they are facing being on the street.
