<div>Amy is the most caring, boisterous and steadfast person. In 2020, she received the devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. She was able to overcome the disease and mostly return to her normal life. However, in 2022, her cancer returned. At this time, she is battling stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer that has metastasized.

As her niece, it pains me to see her and her family struggling with the immense physical, emotional, and financial toll of this disease. Amy's husband, young daughter, son and mother are her world, and they are all facing this challenge with unwavering strength and determination.

Support Amy's Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer

Hello, my name is Barb and I would like to share my friend's story with you. He is going through a very problematic divorce. My friend is physically disabled with severe scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. About ten years ago, he got married in Florida, started a sales business with his wife, and purchased a small home. Over time, their business grew enough to allow them to dream of retiring in Costa Rica. They sold everything they owned and made the move, hoping for a peaceful new chapter together.

 Sadly, my friend didn’t know that the wife he trusted was already preparing to abandon him. Just a few months after moving, his wife told him she wanted a divorce, packed up all her things, emptied their bank accounts, and left in less than 24 hours. He soon discovered that he had been set up for almost a year. The marital assets had been arranged so he would have no access to the money, and property ownership was transferred under a corporate identity where she was now the primary shareholder. His wife is now insisting that he get none of the financial assets from their marriage, leaving him without enough to live on or pay for the property he legally owns only 1% of. She is using the substantial marital assets she took to pay for a high-priced lawyer, while my friend is left with nothing. She left him for greed and nothing else, and now lives comfortably in Egypt with her first husband, who is financially well off.

 My friend needs help to receive justice. We have not been able to find a lawyer in either Washington or Florida who will work pro bono on such a complicated, contested divorce. Without assistance, this woman will destroy a man who never did her wrong. I hope that if nothing else, others will read this story and think twice before blindly trusting the people they believe love them. Any support would mean the world to him as he tries to recover from this difficult situation and secure his future.
