The Villanueva Family is facing one of the hardest moments a family can endure after the heartbreaking loss of their beloved mother. She had been ill for some time and has now sadly succumbed to her illness. Her passing has left an enormous void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She was cherished not only by her family, but also by friends and coworkers, and she had a way of making everyone feel cared for. To so many people, she was everyone’s mom. Her cooking was well renowned, and sharing a meal from her kitchen was one of the many ways she showed love to those around her.
<br>
<br>
 During a time that should be centered on grief, remembrance, and being together as a family, the Villanueva Family is also carrying the heavy burden of funeral expenses and the financial stress that comes with saying goodbye. This fundraiser is being created to help ease that burden and give their mother the respectful farewell she deserves. Any support you can give will mean so much to the Villanueva Family during this difficult time. <strong>Please consider helping</strong> if you are able, whether by donating or sharing this fundraiser, and thank you for keeping the Villanueva Family in your thoughts and prayers.

<div>My uncle and our family are in need of help after a devastating earthquake in Cali, Colombia, severely damaged his home and left it unlivable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully, my uncle and his family were able to get out safely just in time before the roof collapsed. But in a matter of moments, they lost the safety and stability of their home. The entire roof collapsed, several walls were damaged, the kitchen is gone, and the bathroom needs to be rebuilt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, they are doing everything they can to retrieve and salvage whatever belongings are still usable. But the damage is extensive. Their kitchen is no longer functional, they have lost essential household items, and they are unable to live safely in the home. For now, kind neighbors have stepped in to provide meals, and our family is doing everything we can to support them. It has been heartbreaking, especially because we cannot be physically there to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The most urgent priority is rebuilding the collapsed roof and repairing the damaged walls so the house can once again be made safe and protected from the elements. With the roof completely open to the sky, any rain could cause even more damage to the structure and to the belongings they are trying so desperately to save.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds raised will go toward:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Rebuilding the collapsed roof and repairing damaged walls
</div>
<div>* Rebuilding the kitchen and bathroom
</div>
<div>* Replacing essential items that were destroyed, including a refrigerator, furniture, cabinets, and household necessities
</div>
<div>* Providing meals while they are unable to cook at home
</div>
<div>* Covering temporary accommodation while the home is unsafe
</div>
<div>* Paying the workers who are already helping at the property with cleanup, repairs, and recovery
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know that not everyone is in a position to donate, and we completely understand. If you are able to contribute, any amount—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference. And if you cannot donate, simply sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community would help us tremendously.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our family is incredibly grateful for every prayer, donation, share, and message of support. During a moment when my uncle and our family feel overwhelmed by the amount of work ahead, your kindness can help give them hope and allow them to begin rebuilding their home and their lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

Help My Uncle Rebuild His Home & replacement of belongings

On June 16, 2025, while I was out of town, I received a call from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office that my home was on fire. By the time firefighters were done, it was a total loss. Neither my son nor I were home, so we are safe — but we have lost everything. The fire has been covered by News4Jax and First Coast News, and the devastation has left us with nothing but the clothes we were wearing.
<br>
<br>
 The shock of losing our home and all our belongings has been overwhelming. We are grateful to be alive, but starting over from scratch is daunting. Right now, our most urgent needs are temporary housing, clothing, and food. We need a safe place to stay while we figure out our next steps, and basic necessities to help us get through each day. Every dollar raised will go directly toward stabilizing our situation so we can begin the long process of rebuilding our lives.
<br>
<br>
 If you are able to help, your support means the world to us. Even if you can't donate, sharing this page with others can make a huge difference. Thank you for being part of our village and helping us find hope in this difficult time.

Help Lashanna & Son Rebuild After House Fire

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi friends &amp; family,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m reaching out to everyone because my grandma, Ana Comeque Claros (aka Nanay), passed away last night. She lives in the Philippines and we received the news late last night/early this morning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don’t talk about my private life often unless you really know me, but my family is going through a really tough time right now. While I was growing up, both my parents worked two jobs just to make ends meet and give me the blessed life that I have now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, they’re dropping everything and taking a last-minute trip to the Philippines (22 hrs of flying, 3 hrs of a boat ride, &amp; 6 hrs of driving; 3 days of traveling total to get to my mom’s home city) to take care of funeral arrangements for Nanay.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re not familiar with the Philippines, it’s a third-world country and resources there are very very scarce. I had the privilege of going there last year to celebrate Nanay’s 80th birthday with family I haven’t seen since I was 2yrs old and meet cousins I had never met before. I truly understood what “culture shock” meant. Where a hot shower, plumbing, TOILET PAPER is a luxury.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My parents and siblings send money to our family in the Philippines when we can, but the cost of living in America doesn’t leave us with much to send.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking my friends and family if they can spare anything to help my family while we scramble together what we have to offset the costs and stress of my family during this time so we can give Nanay the funeral she deserves and for us to celebrate her life and the family she created for us. Every penny counts, and we are grateful for it all.

<div>Hi, my name is Carrie, I am the Aunt of Jimmy and Erika Moore who tragically lost EVERYTHING in a house fire, including her vehicle. They have 2 precious children Austin 6 and Allie 4 months. If you find it in your heart to donate to help them begin the process of rebuilding their home it would be greatly appreciated. Starting all over is very costly and when it is because of a tragedy like this makes it even harder. Lets flood them with whatever means we can to help them rebuild. More than donations, they could use your prayers to fathom the loss they have endured. We can’t Thank you all enough for the generosity and prayers.

Rebuilding after devastating house fire

<div>Hi my name is Rachel Leaptrott, I am Frue McAvoy‘s fiancé and domestic partner. Saturday, December 2 at 9:20 PM Frue suffered multiple strokes at home. He was transferred immediately to Mayo clinic where it was identified he had a blood clot in his vertebral artery on the back of his neck. He underwent an emergency procedure called a thrombectomy to release the clot to the brain. We have been in the Mayo Clinic NSICU, and he has been sedated and on a ventilator since we got here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The MRI results show that he has brain damage to his cerebellum and his brain stem. Frue knows who he is and he knows where he is and what happened. The main part of the brain that was impacted are his motor skills and his ability to control his secretions, or swallowing to protect his airway.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Friday, December 8 he had 2 more procedures one for a G-tube, and the other was a tracheostomy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Has an incredibly long road ahead of recovery, but he is a fighter. He is looking at at a minimum of three months at an inpatient rehabilitation center to regain his strength, and hopefully have the trach and G-tube removed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking for help as his partner to make sure that the household and his medical bills are covered, out-of-pocket rehabilitation costs, transportation costs via ambulance from hospital to the rehabilitation center and anything that comes in between. There are so many unknowns, at this point all we can do is take it day by day. Thank you all so much for your prayers, we hear them keep them coming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He will make it, he is Fruestrong
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will continue to keep everyone updated as best I can please understand, overwhelmed is an understatement. He is in the best hands possible here at Mayo and I’m so thankful we got him here in time.

<div>Hello, my name is Ashley. My family has a little girl and little boy who are 6 and 3 myself and my husband. This week has been so hard on us as our house caught fire and was a total loss. Dealing with insurance, prices of homes, and so much more while also starting from nothing is going to be so hard. The amount of our insurance is not substantial as we just never believed anything like this would happen. It’s not enough to pay off what we have or to pay for something to be put on our land. I know a lot of people have asked me about our insurance and it’s been the most stressful part to think about our long term situation while still trying to think of our day to day needs. Anything donated here to go towards a new home is greatly appreciated. This goal is just there to have something but anything towards it will help. Please keep our little family in your prayers.

<div>My journey with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) began when I suddenly lost the ability to lift my left foot. Thinking the difficulty was weakness from my pregnancy - I pushed through. However, when I experienced a fall with my new baby girl I began to seek medical attention. After multiple doctor visits, testing, and meetings with specialists, I was finally diagnosed with ALS.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>ALS progresses over time, causing muscle weakness, loss of coordination, and eventually paralysis. At this advanced stage in my ALS journey, the physical deterioration makes even the simplest of tasks such as bathing, cooking, or dressing, impossible without assistance from professionals. I now require 24-hour in-home care and the cost of care is continuously rising.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite these challenges, I created my organization <a href="https://teslove.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TesLove</a> to provide free education and resources for others struggling with this disease. I am hoping to raise enough funds to cover the cost of my care so that I can continue to serve the ALS community and show my daughter that no matter what, you can always help others.

<div>Hi I’m Caydence. My truck caught fire today and burned with everything in it I own. It was my first vehicle and it was my sole transportation to the two jobs I currently work as well as to school.

<div>Hi my name is William and my wife, Devin, and I own Wicked Outdoors LLC together for the past 5 and a half years. We have 5 children! Our day to day home life is FULL! My wife and I both grew up here in Jax and also had a hard past as children but this isn’t why we are here today! We are here today because this weekend our company equipment trucks and trailers were vandalized with cuss words, gang signs, and hateful messages spray painted all over everything! Tool boxes prided wide open, tools stolen, all last weeks paperwork and receipts set on fire, windows busted out, wires cut, hoses to our boom arm cut, seats ripped apart, steering column broken,(looks as if they tried to steal the whole truck) the bucket truck motor smashed up that goes to the boom, two batteries were demolished, popped out both door locks, destroyed both door handles, three tires slashed, holes poked into thing, oil pour into the radiator fluid, sprayed painted over the mirrors and both headlights, smashed the roof in jumping on the top of the truck, sprayed painted all over the trailer and the skid steer, painted over the skid steer seat, and cut two big gashes into the tracks of our skid steer and need replaced, they stole personal item I can’t get back and what personal items I had left they destroyed to an oblivion. Then took all of our oils and flammable fluids for the engines of our trucks and poured it all over the front hood of our truck. The whole truck honestly needs replaced! The amount of damage is just unimaginable! Parking under cameras at our school job in a locked gate doesn’t matter anymore. The people responsible for this do not fully understand how harshly their actions have affected us. Our insurance will not help us at all because we don’t have the additional policy needed, even after verifying they would cover in cases like this. They smashed the door off my brand new skid, ripped and paint the seats all over the equipment and not to mention we have 5 kids 2.5-6–7-11-14 and our 2.5 year old is full blown autistic and is epileptic! He suffers from grandmal seizures. So with his medical bills alone we are downing. Because insurance will only pay for so much with his medical condition and we have hardly to no family here in Jacksonville Florida. My wife and I met when we were kids, feel in love with each other and had some beautiful kids that we live for on a daily bases! Their mom is a rock star! She is not your typical mom or wife! Complete bad ass is all I can say about her and hope my daughters grow up to be strong women like her! We are a family owned business and is ran by me and my wife. We do all the work ourselves and we teach are children how to operate, run and mange a successful business. Working days and nights to get the jobs done right and on time. We work with DCPS and do all their tree care needs. Our company has grown a lot from all of our hard work, blood, sweat, tears and endless nights! But it’s been a hard year for us as our son had a severe seizure last July and we thought we lost him for a while! But he is our star and rock! One day we want our children to take over this company that we build by ourselves from the ground up. And we have to rebuild and regrow so they don’t have to work as hard as we did in life. We don’t ever ask for anything! Even when our next dollar is questioned! But this isn’t something we can do alone! I kindly and graciously ask for anything that anyone can do to help us out and to help save a woman owned small family business! Thank you for reading our story and may God bless everyone!
