Our sweet Aspen Girl ️ It is with the heaviest hearts that we share that our sweet Aspen passed peacefully this morning. We prayed for a miracle. We fought for her every step of the way. We did everything we could to bring her home, to keep her comfortable, and to give her more time with us. But this morning, her body was simply too tired to keep fighting. Aspen was so much more than a dog. She was our baby, our family, and such a huge part of our lives. She had the biggest personality, the most stubborn little spirit, and a way of making herself impossible not to love. She was so deeply loved, and she knew it. We are heartbroken beyond words. The house already feels different without her, and we would give anything for just one more day with our girl. To everyone who donated, shared our GoFundMe, checked in, prayed for her, sent messages, or simply followed Aspen’s journey — thank you. You gave us hope when we desperately needed it, and you helped us give Aspen every chance we could. We wish the ending had been different. We wish we could have brought her home and watched her get better. But we are grateful that her final moments were peaceful and that she was surrounded by the people who loved her most. Run free, sweet girl. Until we meet again, Aspen. We love you more than words could ever say.

Aspen needs a miracle. ❤️‍ We wish we had a better update to share, but unfortunately, Aspen has started to decline rapidly. After fighting so hard and making such incredible progress, her kidney values have taken a devastating turn. Her creatinine is back up to 9.7 and her BUN is 77. We were so hopeful when her numbers came down, and seeing them rise again has been heartbreaking. We’re doing everything we can to keep fighting for our girl and give her every chance possible. Aspen has been through so much, and she continues to fight despite everything her body is going through. Right now, we need a miracle. We know we’ve asked for so much already, and we truly hate having to ask again. But if you’re able to donate, share her story, or simply keep Aspen in your thoughts and prayers, it means more to us than we could ever put into words. Aspen is our pitbull, our best friend, and truly our soul dog. If you know us, then you know how much Aspen means to our family. It started out as Aspen and Taylor in college after she was rescued, and Aspen has grown up right alongside us through every season of life. She was there when we moved in together, when we got engaged, and when we got married. She is the spunkiest pitbull with a heart of gold, and right now she is fighting a severe case of Valley Fever. Her titer is 1:16, and she has been in the ICU for over a week as we do everything we can to help her pull through. We are now transitioning Aspen from ICU care to at-home care in hopes of lowering our medical bills while also keeping her as comfortable as possible as she continues to fight this horrible infection. The funds raised will go directly toward her vet bills and continued medical care so we can keep giving her the support and treatment she needs. To be completely honest, it is very hard for us to ask for help like this, and we feel uncomfortable and ashamed needing support. We never imagined having to put our hearts out this way, but Aspen means everything to us, and we are willing to do whatever we can for her. Every donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to us.
