<div>Hi everyone
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Debbie, and I have a difficult story to share.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In August 2024 I discovered that my husband of 35 years was having an affair with my 23-year-old employee. This completely rocked my world and threw my entire life into turmoil.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During the highly emotional aftermath, her stepfather assaulted me, throwing a brick at my head which put me in hospital. He was taken to court, but as is often the case these days when it comes to violence against women, he was found not guilty.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My former employee then proceeded to take me to an employment tribunal which has dragged on for 19 months and is still ongoing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This has had a devastating effect on my mental health. The shock brought on numerous trauma seizures, suicide ideation, panic attacks, an eating disorder and insomnia. My health authority referred me to the local crisis team who have been absolutely brilliant in keeping me safe from self-harm. Recently, the psychiatric team at my local hospital have officially diagnosed me with PTSD.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My entire world had been torn apart. I’ve struggled to cope with the double betrayal, grieving a life with a man I thought I knew and a retirement I thought we were going to have.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Throughout all this, my soon-to-be ex has acted as though he is the victim. I had to get a restraining order to stop him harassing me at our marital home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Only after he left did I discover that there were enormous arrears on the mortgage. Whilst I did my best to pay them on my dog walker salary, I couldn’t. Recently, an eviction notice was served on me and it was only by the skin of my teeth and the support of my friends that I was able to stave off that eviction.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The one thing that has kept me going and has been my constant is my job. The dogs in my care give me a purpose to get up each morning and keep moving forward. I literally owe my life to the dogs. I absolutely love my job and more so now as it’s the one thing that has saved me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My ex refuses to accept any responsibility for the debts he left me with, as well as refusing to take reasonable steps to settle the financial element of our divorce. He has hired an excellent solicitor whereas I am struggling to afford the right level of legal representation to counter and ensure a secure future for me, my dogs and my small business.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And this is where I really need your help. I desperately need to raise funds to pay for legal representation to finalise the financial side of the divorce and give me closure and peace to move on with my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I realise money is tight for everyone. Even if you can’t give, a share on social media is just as valuable. I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read this far. Thank you so much.
</div>

<div>Hello my name is Louise. I do want to remain anonymous for the sake of my little girl and my situation regarding my relationship with her father.
</div>
<div>I am looking to use this page to raise the money to pay off my debts. This is to potentially leave a relationship as I feel financially trapped by own debts.
</div>
<div>I have solely been providing for our daughter on top of paying bills. We split the household bills but he often doesn’t buy things we need for the home. He doesn’t buy things she needs for her room, clothes, school trips, parties, family gifts.
</div>
<div>We are supposed to alternate food shops but I can be waiting so long that I will have to buy as I need food for my daughter.
</div>
<div>I do work full time and I am looking at a second job. I am not on a bad wage but this period of becoming a mother has put me in these debts which are only increasing as I am left with nothing after bills every month.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I find Christmas a very stressful time as I know it means more things on credit and I know I can’t book or get excited for any events over Christmas with my daughter because the entire time I will be worrying about having money to go and do those things.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donations will go solely towards getting rid of my debts to aid a better and less anxious life for me and so that my daughter doesn’t have to know I am struggling every day checking my balance and feeling sick and watching the debts running up.
</div>
<div>There will be no nice trips or days out etc until debts are cleared as this my top priority to start a new life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have added pictures for people to see the debts I am in so that they can see that I am legitimately desperate.
</div>

Better life for my daughter.

<div>Hi, my name is Laura, and I'm a single mum to two young children.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Between 2023 and 2024, I spent around £10,000 on my divorce. In 2025, I moved out of the family home and started over, creating a new home for myself and my children.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Before moving, I'd worked hard to clear my credit card debt. However, starting again from scratch meant buying essential items and covering the costs of setting up a new home. Unfortunately, I found myself relying on my credit card again just to make ends meet. With no one to help, there have even been months when I've needed to use it for food shopping towards the end of the month, just before payday.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Last year, I transferred £2,200 of my credit card balance onto a 0% interest deal for 12 months, with the intention of clearing it before the offer ended. I genuinely thought I could do it, but unexpected expenses kept cropping up, and instead of reducing the balance as planned, I ended the 12 months owing more than I started with. It was disheartening, especially when I was trying so hard to get back on track.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I have a good job and I'm doing everything I can to manage my finances responsibly. I make my monthly credit card payments, currently £200pm, but whenever I feel like I'm making progress, an unexpected expense seems to come along. Like now for example, I’ve found some sort of animal droppings in my loft and I’m yet to call anyone out to inspect because of the cost it’ll incur.<span> Without an emergency fund to fall back on, I end up relying on my credit card again, and it feels like I'm going around in circles.</span>
</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I'm not looking for an easy way out. I'm trying to find a way to break this cycle and give myself and my children a more secure future.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My goal is to clear my credit card debt so that the £200 I currently pay each month can eventually go towards building an emergency fund. Having some savings behind me would mean being able to deal with unexpected expenses without falling back into debt.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>More than anything, I want to give my children a happy, secure childhood and be able to treat them to little things and experiences without constantly worrying about how I'll afford them.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you're able to contribute anything towards helping me reach this goal, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, would make a difference. If you're unable to donate, simply taking the time to read my story means a lot.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you so much for reading and for any kindness or support you can offer. ❤️

Save The Children Fund

<div>
 For those who don’t know, Roots started as a small prayer circle held in a yurt at the Outside Lives HQ in Gwernymynydd. This is a group held once a month for women to come together and bring their prayers to God as a team.
</div>
<div>
 After a while, I had lots of people asking me about this group who wouldn’t usually be interested in faith based activities but I think they were a bit wary that if they came along it would be a bit too weird and wonderful SO I started a really informal meeting every few months, in a local community centre bringing women together to do nice activities such as spring bouquet making, summer mocktail making etc and then at the end I would share my faith story and encourage others to do the same.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Here’s where this fundraiser comes in - the group and the outreaches have been going well and we’d love to do more and expand but of course, venue hire, equipment and refreshments do cost money. It has been suggested to me that I should charge a fee for these groups but I won’t be doing this for two reasons 1) in the past I have been a position where I have not even had £1 to my name, so if I had to chose between tea that night or going to a group for myself, I just wouldn’t have gone and 2) God’s love, other peoples companionship and having a nice time should be free I feel.
</div>
<div>
 However, people have asked where they can donate because they would like to contribute towards our ventures so I did put a discreet donation box at our events but it was suggested to me to make an online giving platform too. Since going down the route of seeking funding, they also told me that fundraising and online donations are the first step to proving community involvement too so here we are!
</div>
<div>
 If you would like to and are in a position to donate even a small amount or you find yourself in that position in the future here is where you can do it. Thank you so much

 This charity is close to my heart as my 6 year old son Vinnie has ASD and is non verbal. He is an amazing little boy and I am doing this for him.
