What they care about

Jaxon is a hardworking, kindhearted 17-year-old who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Fibrolamellar HCC, an extremely rare form of liver cancer.

A Little Update on Our Jaxon First and foremost, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shared Jaxon’s GoFundMe, reached out, and continued to lift our boy up in prayer. Your love, kindness, and generosity mean more to our family than words could ever express. Our sweet Jaxon has had some incredibly difficult days lately. The constant nausea and vomiting have made it so hard for him to eat, keep food down, and get the nutrition his body desperately needs while fighting this horrible disease. As his mom, watching him endure all of this and not being able to take away his suffering is absolutely heartbreaking. We know we still have a very long road ahead of us. Right now, our hope and prayer is that the chemotherapy and immunotherapy will shrink his tumors enough to make surgery possible. That is the next major step we are fighting toward, and we are holding on to every ounce of hope and faith along the way. Please pray specifically for Jaxon today. Pray that his nausea and vomiting ease, that he can keep food and fluids down, that his body grows stronger, and that the chemotherapy and immunotherapy shrink his tumors enough for surgery. Most of all, please pray for healing, comfort, and strength for Jaxon—and for our family as we continue through this fight. If you pray, please say his name and share this post so others can join us. We also humbly ask you to take one simple action today: share Jaxon’s GoFundMe. Please share the link on Facebook, Instagram, or in a group, and ask one or two people you know to share it as well. If you are able to donate, any amount—no matter how small—helps with the expenses of treatment, travel, medical care, and the many needs that come with this journey. If you cannot donate, your share and your prayers are still incredibly valuable. Every share helps his story reach someone who may be able to help. From Jaxon, Mason, and me, THANK YOU for standing beside our family and loving our boy through this fight. We truly could not do this without all of you. Keep fighting, Jax! One day, one treatment, one step at a time. We are NOT giving up! #JaxonStrong #FightLikeJax #FibrolamellarHCC #CancerSucks #PrayForJaxon #NoOneFightsAlone
Infusion #3 coming up this Wednesday, October 7. Treatment has been challenging on my Jax. Praying his body handles it a little better this time around. Unfortunately, due to Fibromellar HCC being so rare and resistant to traditional chemotherapy treatments, Jaxon is undergoing a very rigorous chemotherapy & immunotherapy regimen. Please continue to keep my boy in your thoughts and prayers. Please share our GoFundMe as often as possible as we have such a long road ahead, and I hope to be able to continue being able to be right by my son’s side as he fights this! Thank you all so much. We’re eternally grateful to each and every one of you!❤️
First and foremost, I just want to say THANK YOU. Truly, from the bottom of my heart — thank you so much to every single person who has donated, shared, prayed, checked in, reached out, or supported us in any way. Please continue sharing as this is a very long journey we are facing and, well it takes a village! My Jaxon, my Mason, and I are beyond grateful. ❤️ I also want to apologize that I haven’t provided an update recently. The truth is, we are still learning how to navigate a life that feels like it has been turned upside down 20 times over. We are still trying to wrap our heads around Jaxon’s diagnosis and everything that comes with it. This is a reality I would never wish on anyone. So please bear with us as we try to find our footing. On top of everything happening with Jaxon, we are also desperately trying to find a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home because of the awful ongoing water problems and ridiculous A/C issues we have dealt with since the very first day we moved into our current home. In addition, Jaxon’s car started smoking two days ago while driving, and is now out of commission until we get the parts and get it fixed. So we are down to one car since I am STILL without a vehicle. Still trying to find one, but it has been one hurdle after another and I just don’t have the extra money . It has been one hell of a mountain. But if there is one thing the three of us have learned through every single thing life has thrown at us — especially on top of this still-unbelievable cancer diagnosis — it is this: We do not stay knocked down. We get back up. We face the fight. Every. Damn. Time. And we will continue to. The three of us are some of the strongest people I know, and right now we are taking life one day at a time. Hell…sometimes it is one hour at a time. Sometimes it is one minute at a time. But we keep moving forward. And I need everyone to know something about our Jaxon. This kid is facing cancer like a DAMN WARRIOR. Mason and I are constantly in awe of him. His mindset. His strength. His courage. His determination. And fucking eh…his unbelievably positive attitude through all of this. He is phenomenal. That is our Jax. My Lil Bear. Watching him walk through something no 17-year-old should ever have to face and still find reasons to smile, laugh, stay positive, and keep fighting leaves me absolutely speechless sometimes. Jaxon — you have got this. And we have got YOU. Every step. Every treatment. Every scan. Every good day. Every hard day. Every damn battle. We are right beside you. To everyone standing beside our family — thank you for helping hold us up while we figure out how to navigate all of this. There truly are not enough words to explain how much your love and support mean to us. We feel it. We see it. And we will never forget it. And one more thing… F&@K CANCER. It has absolutely nothing on Jax. #JaxonStrong #LilBear #FLCWarrior #FightLikeJax #FuckCancer
Sept. 9, 2026 oday is the day. ️ My baby boy, Jaxon—my Lil Bear—starts his first day of chemotherapy today. Day 1 of taking on this “Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma Stage 4a.” There are no words to fully describe what it feels like as a mom to watch your child begin a fight you never imagined he would have to face. I wish more than anything I could take every ounce of this from him and carry it myself. But since I can’t, I will be right beside him through every infusion, every appointment, every hard day, every tear, and every victory. Jax, you are stronger than you know, and you will NEVER fight this alone. You have an entire army standing behind you, praying for you, loving you, and fighting right alongside you. So today, we walk into that hospital ready for battle. We got this, my Lil Bear! ❤️ It’s time to BLAST this Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma and remind it that it picked the WRONG young man and the WRONG family. LET’S FUCKING GO, JAX! ️ ROUND ONE. FIGHT. #JaxonStrong #LilBearStrong #FightLikeJax #FibrolamellarHCC #ChemoDay1 #CancerPickedTheWrongKid #FuckCancer
Aug.31, 2026 What an emotionally draining, terrifying, and life-altering last few weeks this has been for our family. My baby boy, Jax, had been experiencing what started as very intermittent vomiting for about two months. Over the last few weeks, though, it became progressively worse. We initially thought it might be related to the acne medication he had been taking for the past 4–5 months, since nausea and vomiting can be side effects. I brought it up to his dermatologist, who didn’t seem overly concerned and felt it should improve. But it didn’t. When things reached the point that Jax couldn’t even drink water without vomiting, every instinct in me was telling me that something was wrong. We went to Golisano, expecting answers—but never in a million years expecting the answers we received. After an incredibly long day and night in the ER, Jax had an ultrasound, followed by an MRI. The MRI showed a mass on his liver, and he was admitted to the hospital. We were then given the devastating news that my 17-year-old son…my “lil bear,” hasH a 12 cm tumor on his liver and that the doctors were concerned it could be cancer. Jax underwent a CT-guided liver biopsy, and unfortunately, the results confirmed our worst fears. Cancer. Hepatocellular carcinoma. There truly are no words to describe what it feels like to hear that word attached to your child. I work with patients in surgical oncology every single day. I am part of a team that helps patients and families navigate some of the most frightening and uncertain moments of their lives. But I never imagined that one day I would suddenly find myself on the other side of it—not as a medical assistant, but as a mom sitting beside her baby boy, trying to process that he has cancer. Nothing prepares you for this. The last week has been filled with fear, tears, questions, appointments, tests, and emotions I don’t even know how to put into words. At the same time, I have watched Jax face something no 17-year-old should ever have to face, and I am incredibly proud of him. He is so strong. So brave …with such courage! Right now, we are taking this one appointment, and one day at a time. We still have a long road ahead of us and more answers to get, but one thing is certain: Jax will never walk this road alone. We will be beside him every single step of the way. To everyone who has reached out, checked on Jax, prayed for him, prayed for our family, sent messages, or simply kept us in your thoughts, thank you. Please continue to keep our Jax in your prayers. We need every single one of them. ❤️ Life really can change in the blink of an eye. Hold your babies a little tighter, say “I love you” every chance you get, and never take an ordinary day for granted.
