<div>Help Quest Get Home and Recover After a Medical Emergency in France

<div>If you’re reading this, chances are you know Quest, or someone who loves him. If you know him well, you also know he’d never be the person to ask for help himself. That’s why I’m doing it for him. While he was in Marseille, Quest suddenly developed severe pain in his neck and head with consistent waves of headaches and nausea. After three days he took himself to the emergency as the pain became extreme and after extensive testing and imaging, doctors diagnosed him with a right vertebral artery dissection, a tear in one of the arteries that supplies blood to the brain. Quest was admitted to a neurovascular intensive care unit, where doctors monitored him closely before determining he was stable enough to be discharged. After four days in the hospital he was discharged with a doctors order to avoid any strenuous activity (including surfing), remain in Europe for the time being to allow his brain to heal, and receive continuous treatment from neuron specialists upon his return to New York.  He will need ongoing neurological care, repeat vascular imaging, and follow-up with specialists both in France and once he’s safely back home in New York.

<div>Being hospitalized in France along with having to refrain from working has created an enormous financial burden. The proceeds from this gofundme will be applied toward emergency hospital bills, specialist appointments, prescription medications, follow-up imaging, transportation to medical appointments, and expenses for the time he has to remain in France. Once he’s back in the United States, he’ll still need continued care with specialists while also taking time away from work to recover. If you have the ability to donate, we’d greatly appreciate it. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Quest’s medical care and recovery, helping cover the costs of treatment abroad, getting him home safely, and his continued care. Every donation, every share, and every message of support allows him to focus on recovery.

Support Quest After a Medical Emergency

<div>Brenda is a friend and coworker who has shown incredible strength and resilience. In her early 20s Brenda suffered a brain aneurysm that changed her life. Even now, at 25, she continues to face medical issues as a result, but she still shows up to work every day with a smile on her face. Brenda works at a Long Beach restaurant, doing her best to help her family, while her mother also works in the industry. Together, they have rescued many pet dogs, giving them loving homes despite their own struggles.

<div> Recently, Brenda and her family, and their rescued dogs have been facing eviction. Despite reaching out to lawyers for help, they haven’t been able to stop the eviction, and now Brenda and her family are moving their belongings into a storage unit, fearing homelessness. The stress of medical bills and the threat of losing their home has been overwhelming, but Brenda continues to work hard and study at school, even with the pain from her brain injury.

She brings joy to everyone around her and has rescued countless puppies, showing her compassion and dedication. <div>Hello everyone! My name is Karter Hines, and I’m honored to share that I’ve been nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference this summer in San Francisco, California.

<div>I am working to raise $4,000 to help cover the cost of this incredible opportunity. This program will allow me to travel to the University of California, Berkeley, where I will participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet other students from around the country, and learn more about subjects I’m passionate about, like science, biology, and astronomy.

<div>In the future, I hope to become an aerospace engineer and eventually start my own engineering company. I want to create, innovate, and be part of building things that can change the world. Attending this program will help me grow my confidence, leadership skills, and knowledge so I can take important steps toward that dream.
