Hi everyone, I want to create a peaceful home, care for animals, and restore land. I’m reaching out with something very personal, meaningful, and honestly… a little scary to share. I have a vision to create a peaceful, sustainable home and land sanctuary in Nanaimo, BC—one that supports not only myself, but also animals, wildlife, and people seeking rest, connection, and healing. This isn’t just about building a house. It’s about creating: ✨ A safe and stable home ✨ A nature-based retreat space ✨ A small, loving dog care environment ✨ A regenerative landscape that feeds and supports local wildlife The Vision The plan is to build a small, thoughtfully designed duplex on a hillside: An upper suite where I will live A private lower suite that will be used as a quiet Airbnb retreat A small, safe dog sitting space to care for animals The surrounding land will be transformed into a natural food forest and wildlife-friendly habitat, creating a space that gives back instead of taking. Hello everybody. Greetings to you all. I have always believed that every animal deserves love, safety and a second chance at life. For years, I've been rescuing stray, abandoned, and injured animals from the streets - giving them food, shelter, medical care, and most importantly, love. It started with just one dog I found scared and starving by the roadside. I took him home, cleaned his wounds, and nursed him back to health. Seeing him wag his tail again changed my life forever. Since then, I've rescued many more - dogs, cats, and even a few helpless puppies left to die. But as the number of rescues grows, so do the challenges. Feeding, treating, vaccinating, and finding homes for these animals takes alot of time, effort, and money. I do as much as I can with my limited resources, but I can't do it alone anymore. That's why I'm reaching out fir your help. Every donations- no matter how small - goes directly toward saving lives: buying food, paying vet bills, building safer shelters, and continuing this mission of compassion.
