<div>The specialized team of doctors focused on Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) have already received her records from City of Hope and are actively reviewing them. When she arrives, they will continue testing and work to develop a treatment plan. We don’t yet know what that plan will look like, but we are holding onto this as a renewed and powerful source of hope, and praying it continues to grow brighter.

<div>Jeannie is immunocompromised, and traveling back and forth to Houston for specialized care will be both physically and financially demanding. Some of the treatments ahead may not be covered by insurance. Since first sharing her diagnosis, Jeannie has been in and out of the hospital multiple times, facing complications and relentless, often excruciating pain as the cancer continues to spread. She is now working toward completing her sixth and final round of chemotherapy, hoping it will strengthen her for the journey ahead, even though its immediate toll is exhausting.

<div>On Dec. 6th, <strong>Porsha Shores, a wonderful teaching assistant at Russell Lee Elementary,</strong> was riding in an Uber when she was hit by an uninsured drunk driver. Porsha has sustained several injuries that will require MRIs to her head, neck, and back.

<div>She has used all of her paid time off for healing and doctor’s appointments, so it’s hard trying to make ends meet with reduced paychecks for missed time. <strong>Any amount donated is greatly appreciated to help Porsha get back on her feet.</strong>

<div>Charlie and his children, Clara (8) and Logan (5) were on their way to pick up their mom, Vivian, and her friends from a concert on Saturday night, 5/6. Due to the rain and bad weather, the car hydroplaned, spun out of control, and hit a concrete pillar. Clara and Logan sustained minor injuries; however, Charlie suffered near fatal and life-altering injuries including irreversible damage to his spinal cord. With the severity of his spinal cord injury, Charlie will require intensive rehabilitation to adapt to his new way of life.

<div>Charlie has been given a second chance and is determined to continue living his life to the fullest. He will need full-time, comprehensive rehabilitation and care, and with that comes significant financial responsibilities. Support Charlie's Road to Rehabilitation

</div>On the eve of Valentine's day, on her birthday, Kate, a single mama of a 3 year old girl, went to the emergency room with an awful cough that was steadily getting worse.

<div>She was having difficulties breathing, and no, her symptoms were not COVID related.  Her chest X-rays uncovered blood clots in her lungs and swelling around her heart.  She was lucky to be alive.<br /><br />She was diagnosed with<span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;"> a pulmonary embolism, blood clots In her left lung, which has caused a pericardium effusion, swelling around the heart. She also has swollen lymph nodes along the sternum which the Dr’s do not know why they are there or </span><span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;">whether the clots were caused by an infectious disease or cancer; but, she is being tested for a huge variety of possible viruses and bacteria.</span>

But we do know that it’s going to be very challenging to do all of the work that she does to care of her daughter as well as look after herself. </span><br style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;" /><br />We come to request your help to make her life a little bit easier as she cannot work due to her health condition. <br />

Kate's Illness & Healing

Hello, My Name is Rosana Sastrami. I created this Go Fund Me to ask for help as me and my 6 month Twins and son have been wrongly evicted from our home. During my high risk pregnancy I became disabled and unable to perform my duties as a property manager. My housing was provided through my employer, who wrongfully terminated and evicted me as I fought for my life during the last few months of my pregnancy.I filed and got a right to sue letter  to fight against being wrongfully terminated and evicted during a pandemic and lost.I am a hard working single mother who wants to provide for my family. With your help I hope to secure housing for my babies. I am currently separated from my oldest son because most shelters don’t accept male children over a certain age so I drive 2 hours to see my son. Any contribution will help and will be a blessing to me during this hard time. I will be using the funds to find a permanent home and necessities to live. Many thanks, Rosana

Single mom evicted during covid

It is with a heavy heart that we bring some very sad news.  If you know Sue Young and have had the privilege of getting to know her and become friends with her; then you know her sweet spirit, her smile that lights up any room, and her tenacious personality.  She is smart, capable, a joy to be around… and far, far, too young to be faced with her current situation.  In September of 2012, Sue was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.  She has gone through many ups and downs, but has stayed strong throughout the entire process.  <strong>Our hearts go out to everyone whose lives have been touched by this special soul, as she took her last breath this early evening.</strong> <br /><br />Sue didn’t want to share this with many people; as she felt this would be a burden to others.  Sue was a warrior. She believed in being strong and making hard choices that reflected truth and integrity. She worked diligently in a demanding medical office and reflected kindness to ill patients who were completely unaware she was in pain and suffering through Stage 4 Cancer. This is the caliber of person we were privileged to call friend.<br /><br />We are asking that if Sue has made an impact in your life: whether it be a sweet fleeting moment, or if she is leaving an irreplaceable footprint in your heart; that <strong>a donation (however small or large) would be greatly appreciated.  The money raised will be used to help fund funeral arrangements.  It would help bring a tremendous amount of peace and serenity to Sue’s mom, Ellen Young, who will survive her only daughter. </strong> No parent should ever have to watch their child go before them; but we should all rally around those who must and help through these difficult times.  <br /><br />Thank you for your help to honor Sue. We encourage you to share and post good memories, photos, and words of encouragement here for her mother to see.  We will consolidate this when we honor her memory and show how she impacted in our lives.  Information about when and where we will do so will be posted here as well.<br /><br />Funeral date is Saturday 7/25 at Restland in Dallas at 2:30pm. Due to the rush of getting this fund set up yesterday, we underestimated the costs of the funeral service.
