<div>After 35 long and painful days in the hospital, Jeannie was finally discharged today! These past weeks have been unimaginably hard on her body. She has endured relentless pain, low oxygen levels, repeated lung and stomach drains, blood clots, surgical incision procedures, and countless sleepless days and nights. Her strength through all of this has been nothing short of extraordinary.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tonight, after so much suffering, she gets something she has desperately missed — time at home with her children, wrapped in the comfort, love, and presence of her family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Early tomorrow morning, Jeannie will begin the next critical step in this fight. An ambulance will transport her to a private medical plane, where a team of healthcare professionals will accompany her to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her appointment with a Cancer of Unknown Primary specialist is scheduled for 1 p.m. She may arrive a little late, but we are hoping that the doctor and medical team will still be able to see her. Right now, every minute matters. Every moment feels precious.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generosity has helped carry Jeannie through the hardest fight of her life. Every donation, prayer, and act of kindness has reminded her and her family that they are not facing this alone. We are deeply grateful for the love and support you’ve shown.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As Jeannie continues this difficult journey, we humbly ask that you continue standing beside her. Your continued support will help provide the care, treatment, and hope she so desperately needs right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Grateful,
</div>
<div>Team Jeannie

Remembering Jeannie: A Life Well Loved

<div>Hello friends and neighbors,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Dec. 6th, <strong>Porsha Shores, a wonderful teaching assistant at Russell Lee Elementary,</strong> was riding in an Uber when she was hit by an uninsured drunk driver. Porsha has sustained several injuries that will require MRIs to her head, neck, and back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has used all of her paid time off for healing and doctor’s appointments, so it’s hard trying to make ends meet with reduced paychecks for missed time. <strong>Any amount donated is greatly appreciated to help Porsha get back on her feet.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Also, the accident happened near the intersection of Harris and 32nd Street between 7:50-8:00 pm on Dec. 6th. If you have Ring cameras in that area or personally witnessed the wreck, please share any information that you have to help her file a lawsuit against the drunk driver.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Forever grateful,
</div>
<div>Shannan Peterson, colleague of Porsha.

<div>Charlie and his children, Clara (8) and Logan (5) were on their way to pick up their mom, Vivian, and her friends from a concert on Saturday night, 5/6. Due to the rain and bad weather, the car hydroplaned, spun out of control, and hit a concrete pillar. Clara and Logan sustained minor injuries; however, Charlie suffered near fatal and life-altering injuries including irreversible damage to his spinal cord. With the severity of his spinal cord injury, Charlie will require intensive rehabilitation to adapt to his new way of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Charlie has been given a second chance and is determined to continue living his life to the fullest. He will need full-time, comprehensive rehabilitation and care, and with that comes significant financial responsibilities. That is why we are starting this GoFundMe campaign – to help Charlie access the resources he needs to effectively treat and facilitate his recovery. By donating to this campaign, you'll be helping Charlie get the medical care, rehabilitation, and accessibility modifications necessary to live his life as independently and comfortably as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Charlie has always been a fighter, a pillar of strength and the backbone of his community. He is an indispensable contributor at work, an esteemed Navy veteran, a selfless friend and neighbor and above all, the best father, husband and family man. We have all depended on him to do the heavy lifting, from creating and cooking elaborate meals to building custom furniture, executing DIY projects and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He will always welcome you with gracious hospitality and open arms and in return, you feel safe and taken care of.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We love him for his one-liners, dad jokes, stories of Navy life and philosophical musings. And we can't forget his arts and crafts skills that rival that of Martha Stewart’s. Yes, he's a renaissance man with a heart of gold. We celebrate Charlie's many talents and gifts because he is so generous with them but also because he is loved by all, just for being him. His spirit of resilience and tenacity remind us of what is truly important in life. We are thankful his life has been preserved and as we've all relied on him in both big and small ways, now it's our turn to help him. Your donation will make a significant impact on Charlie's life and help him navigate this new chapter with strength and courage. Let's show Charlie that he is not alone and that we are here to support him every step of the way. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.

Dear GoFundMe community:<br /><br />
<div style="letter-spacing:.0085px;">We are trying to raise enough money to cover the basic living expenses, at least three months: rent, bills, food, etc, for our friend Kate who is very ill and has been hospitalized.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>On the eve of Valentine's day, on her birthday, Kate, a single mama of a 3 year old girl, went to the emergency room with an awful cough that was steadily getting worse.
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She was having difficulties breathing, and no, her symptoms were not COVID related.  Her chest X-rays uncovered blood clots in her lungs and swelling around her heart.  She was lucky to be alive.<br /><br />She was diagnosed with<span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;"> a pulmonary embolism, blood clots In her left lung, which has caused a pericardium effusion, swelling around the heart. She also has swollen lymph nodes along the sternum which the Dr’s do not know why they are there or </span><span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;">whether the clots were caused by an infectious disease or cancer; but, she is being tested for a huge variety of possible viruses and bacteria.</span>
<div>
<div><span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;"><br /></span>
</div>
<div><span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;">Now her heart rate has to be closely monitored as it shoots up quickly when she is stressed, and all of this is very stressful and overwhelming.<br /></span>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><span style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;">We do not know how much longer she will need to be in the hospital. But we do know that it’s going to be very challenging to do all of the work that she does to care of her daughter as well as look after herself. </span><br style="font-size:12.8px;letter-spacing:normal;" /><br />We come to request your help to make her life a little bit easier as she cannot work due to her health condition. <br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><span style="font-size:large;letter-spacing:normal;">We always say that it takes a village to raise a child, and in this case, it takes a village to help a single mama and her child.  </span><br />
</div>
<div><span style="font-size:large;letter-spacing:normal;"><br /></span>
</div>
<div><span style="font-size:large;letter-spacing:normal;">We just want to make it easier for her to heal.</span>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We thank you enormously for your support.

Kate's Illness & Healing

Hello, My Name is Rosana Sastrami. I created this Go Fund Me to ask for help as me and my 6 month Twins and son have been wrongly evicted from our home. During my high risk pregnancy I became disabled and unable to perform my duties as a property manager. My housing was provided through my employer, who wrongfully terminated and evicted me as I fought for my life during the last few months of my pregnancy.I filed and got a right to sue letter to fight against being wrongfully terminated and evicted during a pandemic and lost.I am a hard working single mother who wants to provide for my family. With your help I hope to secure housing for my babies. I am currently separated from my oldest son because most shelters don’t accept male children over a certain age so I drive 2 hours to see my son. Any contribution will help and will be a blessing to me during this hard time. I will be using the funds to find a permanent home and necessities to live. Many thanks, Rosana

It is with a heavy heart that we bring some very sad news.  If you know Sue Young and have had the privilege of getting to know her and become friends with her; then you know her sweet spirit, her smile that lights up any room, and her tenacious personality.  She is smart, capable, a joy to be around… and far, far, too young to be faced with her current situation.  In September of 2012, Sue was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.  She has gone through many ups and downs, but has stayed strong throughout the entire process.  <strong>Our hearts go out to everyone whose lives have been touched by this special soul, as she took her last breath this early evening.</strong> <br /><br />Sue didn’t want to share this with many people; as she felt this would be a burden to others.  Sue was a warrior. She believed in being strong and making hard choices that reflected truth and integrity. She worked diligently in a demanding medical office and reflected kindness to ill patients who were completely unaware she was in pain and suffering through Stage 4 Cancer. This is the caliber of person we were privileged to call friend.<br /><br />We are asking that if Sue has made an impact in your life: whether it be a sweet fleeting moment, or if she is leaving an irreplaceable footprint in your heart; that <strong>a donation (however small or large) would be greatly appreciated.  The money raised will be used to help fund funeral arrangements.  It would help bring a tremendous amount of peace and serenity to Sue’s mom, Ellen Young, who will survive her only daughter. </strong> No parent should ever have to watch their child go before them; but we should all rally around those who must and help through these difficult times.  <br /><br />Thank you for your help to honor Sue. We encourage you to share and post good memories, photos, and words of encouragement here for her mother to see.  We will consolidate this when we honor her memory and show how she impacted in our lives.  Information about when and where we will do so will be posted here as well.<br /><br />Funeral date is Saturday 7/25 at Restland in Dallas at 2:30pm. Due to the rush of getting this fund set up yesterday, we underestimated the costs of the funeral service. Please accept our sincere apologies for the change and continue to help us support Sue's mom in this matter.
