Walter is 71 years young and has always been a source of strength and love in our family. At the end of October, he started feeling unusually tired, and soon after, he began experiencing pain in his hip. One day, while trying to get back into bed from the bathroom, Walter fell and I had to call 911. The paramedics rushed him to the hospital, where doctors initially thought he was having a heart attack and prepared for emergency heart surgery. After running a series of labs, they discovered he needed a blood transfusion and was also diagnosed with diabetes. Four days later, our world was turned upside down when a nurse came into his room and told us that Walter had stage four cancer. We were told he needed to be transferred to another hospital immediately for treatment, or we could take him home without care. This news was devastating, but we are determined to fight for Walter and give him the best chance possible. We are raising funds to help cover Walter’s medical treatment, hospital bills, ongoing care, transportation to and from appointments, medications, and daily needs like food. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us provide Walter with the care and support he needs during this incredibly difficult time. We want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, generosity, and support. Thanks for keeping me standing.
Walter, my husband, is 71 years young and has always been healthy. Before he got sick, he had never been to the doctor or had any major health issues. But at the beginning of November, things changed. He started feeling tired all the time and complained about constant hip pain. One day, while trying to get back into bed, he fell and hit the floor. I immediately called 911, and the paramedics rushed him to the hospital. At first, the doctors thought he was having a heart attack and prepared for emergency surgery. But after running labs, they discovered he had diabetes, anemia, and needed a blood transfusion. Four days later, a nurse came in with news that changed our lives: Walter had stage 4 leukemia. We were told he needed to be transferred to another hospital for urgent treatment, or he could go home and let the disease take its course. Since then, our world has been turned upside down. Walter has started treatments, and we are doing everything we can to fight this together. The medical bills, treatments, transportation, medications, and even basic needs like food have become overwhelming. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help during this incredibly difficult time. Your support will help us cover these expenses and give Walter the best chance possible. We thank each and every one of you for your generosity, love, and support. Your kindness means more to us than words can say.

Walter Cade is my husband, and for 71 years he has been the picture of health—tall, strong, and always laid back. Just a week ago, everything changed. Walter started feeling unusually tired and mentioned some hip pain, but we never imagined it was anything serious. One evening, after resting, he got up to use the bathroom and, as he returned to bed, he suddenly collapsed. I rushed to his side and immediately called 911, not wanting to move him until help arrived. At the hospital, the doctors initially thought he was having a heart attack and prepared for emergency surgery. But after running several tests, they discovered Walter had anemia and type 2 diabetes, and he needed a blood transfusion right away. We were overwhelmed, but nothing could have prepared us for what came next. Four days later, on November 25, 2025, a nurse came into the room and told us that Walter has stage 4 Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We were floored. Everything happened so fast, and suddenly we were being told he needed to be transferred to another hospital for immediate treatment, or we could take him home and let him go. It was a moment that changed our lives forever. Now, we are facing a long road ahead with many challenges—medical bills, prescription costs, transportation fees, groceries, and personal items all adding up quickly. We are reaching out to our community for help. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference in Walter's fight against leukemia. Your support means the world to us and will help ease the financial burden so we can focus on his care and recovery. Thank you for being there for us during this incredibly difficult time.
