<div><strong>Spud’s Story:</strong> Spud is a <strong>3-year-old street dog from Tijuana, Mexico</strong> that was found emaciated and in poor shape. The vet took a look at his nose and believes that while he was digging in someone’s trash looking for food, as many stray dogs do to survive, someone <strong>hit him in the face with a metal rod</strong> and <strong>bashed his nose in, breaking multiple teeth</strong> and leaving him <strong>struggling to breathe</strong>. Despite this, he is a <strong>total lovebug</strong>, and warms to anyone, melting into their arms when they show him affection. He was brought into our foster care as our 46th foster on Jan 20, 2026, and within a week of rescue, he had gone viral on social media with aunties and uncles all across the globe rooting for him, after falling in love with his sweet story.

Spud's nose is healing, but it has healed shut, so his nose airway is the literal size of a pin hole. I know he is going to feel sooo much better once we get his reconstructive surgery for his nose to open those airways. <div>Buddy is our 8-year-old (almost 9) golden retriever and the goofy, happy heart behind this page. He’s the dog who has made so many people smile on hard days and right now, we’re the ones asking for a little help for him.

<div>Just before we left for our vacation in Hawaii, we found a lump in Buddy’s lower stomach area. We didn’t want to take any chances, so we had him seen immediately and booked the appropriate testing and imaging.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have now received Buddy’s CT results, and the findings were worse than we expected. The scan showed a mass on his scapula (shoulder blade), and there are changes in his lungs that our veterinary team is concerned could be related. At this point, we are being referred to specialists and an oncologist, and the next step is further diagnostics, including getting samples/biopsies so we can confirm exactly what’s going on and build the best plan for Buddy.

<div>The hardest part is that Buddy has zero symptoms. No cough, no change in energy, no change in appetite, he’s still his happy, affectionate, goofy self. He’s currently safe and loved at home with Grandpa, and we’re flying home right away to be with him and start the next steps as quickly as possible.

<div>My name is Ktrynha Rangel and I was contacted to help find a temporary foster for Mordex and find help for his owners (Samuel and Dante Haymon). I am not related to Sam and Dante, but had the privilege of meeting them and offered to find help for them and their pupper.

<div>Mordex's owners are brothers, 19 and 20 years old. One brother was able to get into Haven For Hope, but there's no room in the shelter's kennels, so the other brother stayed on the streets with Mordex. He will not abandon their dog. They have had Mordex since he was a week old and they bottle-fed him. He's now 2. I have gotten Mordex updated on rabies and DHPPV, and he's now microchipped. He does need to be neutered still and has an appointment for 9/20/24. Mordex's neuter will be covered by God's Dog's Recue.

<div>Bee Pawsitive Husky Rescue has graciously offered a safe place for the youngest brother (Sam) and Mordex on their property in exchange for helping with chores and tasks on the property. They will provide food and a place to shower, etc. We need a camper, generator, and funds for gas for the generator. Ideally, we'd like to also raise funds for Mordex to be completely vetted and 4DX tested and preventatives and food, to cover the cell phone and cell service that the rescue is providing for Sam, and to put a fence and kennel up around the camper. Right now a pop-up camper is being loaned to Bee Pawsitive Husky for shelter for Sam and Mordex. As winter is approaching, a sturdier shelter will be required to keep Sam and Mordex safe. If we raise enough funds we will purchase a larger hard-sided travel trailer equipped with restroom facilities, electricity, heating and cooling. This will require an RV hookup to be installed on the property, which can cost up to 5k. Once a larger and sturdier shelter is available, we hope to have Dante move out with Sam and Mordex. Funds will be used to cover expenses for utilities for the travel trailer. Funds will also be used to acquire clothing and hygiene items, replace Sam's prescription glasses, and help with these same things for his brother. Any left-over funds will be used to purchase Sam a used vehicle and cover car insurance and gas as much as possible so that he can have a way to get to work. We hope eventually that he can share this vehicle with his brother.

<div>While the one brother is receiving social services from Haven For Hope, Bee Pawsitive Husky Rescue will help the other brother find social services and food assistance as well. They will help Sam acquire his driver's license and have already helped him secure a job at Tractor Supply. They will help Sam, open a bank account and teach him important budgeting skills. Sam's first day working is pending his I9 verification for employment.

The goal now is to help both brothers come closer to reuniting with each other and having what they need for a fresh start on their own. That includes a decent used vehicle of some sort to get from point A to point B.

Support Mordex and Dog Dad in Their Time of Need

<div>Hello! My name is Frank Vogt and I'm the older of my mom's two sons, Bobby being the younger and the one who is seen in the cover photo with our mom. My mom, Connie Vogt, works as an RN Medical Annual Wellness Nurse and is the sole financial supporter for me, my brother, and our grandma (her mom) who lives with us due to her dementia.

<div>Unfortunately, late last year <strong>Connie had to undergo 2 major surgeries to have a mastectomy done to reduce her risk of breast cancer</strong> which she had previously tested positive for two of the indicator genes. One of these surgeries was an emergency surgery and had to be done out of network due to a severe infection that occurred during her recovery from the first surgery. These costs, combined with the amount of missed work and lost wages due to recovery, have put our family in a tough financial situation.

We tried to hold out as long as possible to get ourselves out of this pit, but we're very close to the breaking point and making this GoFundMe is our very last resort. <div>Since opening in 2023, we have had to strip and re-wax the floors, battle multiple plumbing issues, have been broken in to twice, had to pay for walk-in freezer repairs three times as well as many other large expenses and repairs that come along with inheriting equipment in questionable condition.

<div>Due to these unexpected expenses we have depleted our financial cushion and maxed out our credit capabilities. <div>Khloe is a happy, loving, and curious 6-year-old child with a rare genetic disorder in need of a specialized treatment not covered by insurance. Please help Khloe’s dad do everything he can to slow down the progression of Khloe’s Leukodystrophy.

<div>Shortly after Khloe’s 6th birthday, her father (an amazing single dad) and her teachers started to notice that her gross motor movements such as walking, jumping, running, and playing were starting to seemingly deteriorate for unknown reasons. At first it was not very noticeable, but after a few weeks her movement and posture were difficult enough for her that she was needing some adult support to complete daily tasks such as opening and closing her backpack. Then came headaches. Constant headaches that were bad enough for Khloe’s dad to take her to the hospital. After days of unknowns with multiple tests, Khloe and Dad got the devastating news that Khloe was diagnosed with Leukodystrophy. It then took another few anxious weeks of genetic testing to determine which type.
</div>
<div>Leukodystrophy is an extremely rare genetic neurological disorder that has no cure. It is a progressive loss of neurological function due to the Leukodystrophy attacking myelin in the brain.
</div>
<div>There is a singular treatment for this disorder that can help slow down the process meaning Khloe would be able to walk, talk and feed herself for longer which would increase her quality of life. However, Khloe’s insurance is not able to cover the treatment. As you can imagine Khloe’s father will do anything to help keep his daughter happy and comfortable for as long as possible. He is already working hard to bring her to new weekly physical, speech, feeding and occupational therapies as well as multiple doctor visits. He checks on her daily progress at school twice a day.
</div>
<div>Khloe was a fully “normal” five-year-old kindergarten student ready to take on the world on her first day of school. Now, her loved ones and school family are having to watch her essentially age backwards every day. It is heartbreaking and very difficult for her extremely loving and caring dad. <div>My fight for U.S. citizenship and Social Security benefits has been going on since 2019, over 6 long years. Despite living in America for 64 years, paying taxes, and even voting, the government now claims I am not a legal citizen.

I’ve done everything asked of me: hired an immigration attorney, paid nearly $15,000 in legal fees, worked with a genealogist, and submitted documents to USCIS. I even gave up my voter registration and driver's license in hopes of resolving this, but the issue remains unresolved.

64 Years in America & Still Fighting for Citizenship

<div>Hi, my name is Tamika! I’m a single mother of my gentle giant - 6’5’’, 380 lb - son. I have been jokingly saying that I was going to create a GoFundMe page due to him needing shoes. I never actually thought it would come to fruition. The first time that I mentioned it he was in a size 17 shoe. That was a year ago. My 16 year old son, Jor'el, is now in a size 23 shoe.

<div>This size shoe is hard to come by, as commercial shoe sizes only go up to a size 22. However, I have spoken to some people who are able to make a shoe for him. They are asking $1500 for one pair. Seeing that he is not done growing, I figure I should get two pairs.

<div>As I mentioned, I am a single mom and it's just Jor’el and I. I do work, but maintaining the household and buying those shoes is going to be tough. I have illnesses which sometime force me to miss work. Thus, this leads to low funds at times.

<div>I am now running into the problem where Jor’el doesn't have any shoes to wear. They are all uncomfortable due to the staples coming out on the inside of the shoe and poking him. It has even became a problem when it comes to school because he doesn’t have the proper shoes to wear out of the house (snow boots) to go to school.

<div>Three to One. I once weighed as much as 3 men and now, I am one person. I once weighed more than 585 pounds (that was as high as my scales would read). It's very hard to share a shirtless picture but I've come so far! I know it is hard for some of you to look at. People didn't believe in me, but I believed in myself. I have never used steroids or had gastric bypass surgery…..this is my determination to reclaim my life and live as others do.   Over 361 pounds down, and I'm not done yet. You can do anything you put your mind to. I hope my story can be an inspiration to others trapped in this same type of situation.     Now I need your help.

<div>My weight goal has been reached but my life is not complete, and it will not be complete until I can get rid of this excess skin. I must tuck extra skin in my pants and still wear loose clothing to conceal the flab. I have been heavy since I was 6 years old and at 38, I have never walked on a beach without a shirt on and always avoided pool parties. I’m still trapped. Due to this extra skin. I’m asking for financial help. I need to get the surgeries to remove the extra skin and help with financing while out of work recovering and travel costs. I had no idea of the cost until now.  I first estimated $60K but now I know I will have no less than three surgeries and will have to stay in California 4 weeks after each surgery.  I have to think bigger and I regret that, but I'm increasing my goal to $100,000.  I truly appreciate each and every donation I am receiving.

<div>Our fur baby Ziggy is very sick and we need all the help we can to save him. He means the world to our family and his human brother and sisters. For a week now ziggy had a small sore on his side and we thought it was just a small hot spot or reaction from his collar. We took him to the vet on onset and they said just keep it clean and gave us a spray and cone to help it and it looks just like he is just scratching it. We gave him some antibiotics and was hoping that was it. He started bleeding from the nose nonstop. Today while checking him and giving him cuddles I noticed a perfect ball underneath his wound. I pushed on it very lightly and a BB PELLET fell out and hit the ground. I could not believe it! This whole time he had been shot and attacked by someone so heartless. After examining him super good we found another BB PELLET lodged in him. We have no idea why someone would do this or how anyone could have the heart to hurt such a sweet boy. We know that times right now are very trying for everyone especially here in Hawaii. We would never ever ask for help if it wasn’t drastic in saving his life. I hate that it has come to this and us begging for help with our baby. We were very reluctant to ask for help because we know that so many more people deserve help with go fund me than a dog. But hearing my babies weeping and wailing for their fur brother made my heart hurt so much and I have to at least try to do something. Please don’t feel obligated in any way to donate. A share and prayer for him to pull through means so much to us as well. We’ve had a few quotes from vets and they all are saying it is going to range anywhere from $5k and up. Already struggling to survive in Hawaii with 5 small children and me being a stay at home mom surviving on just one income is why we need all the help we can please. We pray for whoever is causing this harm to our dog and family to have the decency to realize how bad a pellet gun can hurt. It’s not just a toy. Thank you so much for reading this far. On July 19, during what was meant to be a relaxing hour, my beloved partner, Ronald, tragically contracted Legionnaires' disease. This vicious infection took hold after spending just five minutes in the hot tub room. Despite our immediate actions after seeing mold, nine days of battling symptoms at home, and six days in the hospital fighting for his life on life-support, we lost Ronald on August 3.

As I've been processing what I was able to remove from the church, I have had to let go of another large chunk of my inventory due to damages sustained in the fire. I am doing the best I can to clean and salvage these pieces, but a lot is just beyond the point of repair. I have had to let go of almost all of my fur and leather items I had stored at the church, which is a lot in itself. I have been able to take a look at about half of what I was able to rescue. <div>Hi, my name is Madelyn Suzanne and I own Black Rabbit Vintage in Benton Park, St. Louis, MO. In the early hours of June 29th, I learned that Sk8 Libourious in North City was on fire. This, in itself, is a tragedy. Not only was "the church" a space that was loved by many, held memories for many, was home to many, it was also where I stored a huge chunk of the back stock for my shop. Luckily, my storage room did not fully burn in the fire and I was able to get a majority of my things out of the building. Unfortunately, a lot of my inventory has been badly damaged or destroyed by soot, ceiling/plaster debris, and is sopping wet. A lot of fur, antique silk, and fine wool did not survive. I also unfortunately found out yesterday that my shop insurance does not cover my off premise inventory storage.

Yogi is an Aussie German Shepard Mix, he is 90lbs of all-good boy. Yesterday, July 10, he was brutally run over by the USPS driver. She didn't slow down or even stop to see if he was okay. We are asking that you help us with the cost of the medical bills for his X-rays and surgery. We have reached out to local animal control and law enforcement and no one seems to care about our sweet fur baby, Yogi. I'm very grateful for the two of my five dogs who are my family that made it out, and the clothes on my back that I was wearing when I barely escaped the fire that burned my home.
