<div>I am Ahmed Aklouk, 14 years old. I live in northern Gaza in a modest house, but we were displaced to the south-central part of the Deir al-Balah shelters next to Rafah. I never imagined that one day I would collect smart donations from this crisis. However, it may be the only solution to escape death. It has now been turned upside down after October 7. <div>My name is Makaram... And I am writing to you today with a burdened heart. I am a girl from Palestine who currently lives in the southern Gaza Strip. The long story in short.. My city was destroyed and my family house was   destroyed.. My people are gone and we became displaced. More than 170 days have passed from the war now and the war is still working until now, it has not stopped for a moment... We have nothing left in this war. Our house and the source of our livelihood have been robbed and destroyed, and we have nothing left but the clothes we wear.

<div>‏I had a store to design and sell clothes that I lost and destroyed it completely, and my big brother had a poultry farm in northern Gaza. It was also completely burned, destroyed and dredging it , so we do not have any   livelihood. I also have a 19-year-old brother who studies medicine in Egypt and now he does not have the money to complete his studies in his university and we do not even have to send him the costs of living because of the war that we are in now.

<div>We have one child named Omar who came to us after 6 and a half years of deprivation.

<div>We love him very much and fear for him very much. He is the most beautiful gift that came to us in this world. His share was to grow up and be aware of war, destruction, bombing, terrifying sounds, and the sound of aircraft. He did not experience his childhood like the children of the world. Any sound that comes disappears from him, even the sound of cars or the sound of doors.

<div>We were living the most beautiful life, we had the most beautiful house, and we created a winter outdoor session (the roof). It was very nice.
</div>
<div>Suddenly, on 10/7/2023, we woke up to the sounds of missiles and bombing. Our lives were turned upside down.
</div>

<div>Here the most bad displacement journeys begin. You do not know what you will take with you, you do not know who you will protect, and you do not know how you will be displaced because it is difficult to get a car. We only took the identification papers and two clothes for each of us, me, my husband, and Omar.

<div>We moved to Third Street and stayed until 10/13/2023
</div>
<div>It was one of the most difficult days. There was bombing everywhere and we did not know where to go. The place had become unsafe. The Israeli army threw leaflets at us, telling us to go to the south because it was safer. So we went to the south. You can imagine. We left the house with nothing as we headed to the south. Bombing everywhere. The location of each road is like a horror movie, and we arrived in the south to an unknown life. We do not know how to begin and where to begin.

<div>Our life began like we had never lived before.
</div>
<div>We started cooking on the fire due to the lack of gas, and we started washing on our hands due to the lack of electricity. My hands became dry from a lot of washing, and blood dripped from my fingers, and my face became dark in color. When we wanted to take a shower, we lit firewood to heat the water on the firewood.
</div>
<div>Our whole lives are unhealthy. The water is unhealthy and the food is unhealthy, consisting of canned goods and preservatives. My son’s age is affected by a gastrointestinal disease every two weeks because of water and food. His immunity is weak, and with this life it has become worse, and he suffers from allergies to insects.
</div>

<div>We fill water with jugs. In short, we live in a nightmare that never ends. The sound of bombing, the sound of aircraft, and missiles is a very terrifying thing. Even aid is stolen and sold for large amounts of money. Our lives are unlivable. It is our fault and the fault of our children who live like this.
</div>
<div>The days passed and they were all depressing days and frightening and terrifying days. A new year came and we were still in the war and my son’s age. His birthday came on 12/31/2020. He also became three years in the war. The days passed and the months passed. We wished we were at home.

<div>On February 1, 2024, a friend of my husband called from northern Gaza and told us that the house had been bombed. We were shocked and cried and could not believe it. When the pictures of the house arrived and it was destroyed, we collapsed and were psychologically destroyed. We had nothing left. A 6-storey house for my father-in-law, with a library in it, was destroyed. The house was bombed. From the bottom, what remains is not suitable for habitation, will be removed because the foundations have been destroyed. When we learned that the house had been bombed, we no longer had a life and no hope for life.

<div>We live in the unknown. We do not know what our future is and how we will continue to live. We decided to create a donation link to help us try to live again or to continue living. We do not have a home and everything is expensive, so we resorted to the link to help us. Friends, help us by publishing, sharing and donating so that we can continue to live. So I can secure Omar's life. We have grown 20 years older in these more than bad months. It is impossible to describe to you what life is like in Gaza now.

<div>حياتنا كلها غير صحية ، الماء غير صحي والطعام غير صحي عبارة عن معلبات ومواد حافظة ، عمر ابني كل اسبوعين يصيبه نزلة معوية بسبب الماء والاكل ان مناعته ضعيفة ومع هذه الحياة أصبحت أسوء ، وأصيب بالحساسية بسبب الحشرات ، نقوم بتعبئة الماء بالقالون ، بالمختصر نحن نعيش بكابوس لا ينتهي صوت القصف وصوت الطيران والصواريخ شيء مرعب جداً ، حتى المساعدات تتم سرقتها وبيعها بالمبالغ الكبيرة ، حياتنا غير قابلة للعيش ماذنبنا وذنب اطفالنا يعيشون هكذا حياة .

<div>مرت الأيام وكلها أيام كئيبة وأيام مخيفة ومرعبة وجاءت سنة جديدة ونحن لازلنا في الحرب وعمر ابني جاء عيد ميلاده بتاريخ 31/12/2020 أصبح ثلاث سنوات في الحرب أيضاً الايام تجري والأشهر تمر كنا نتمنى ان نكون في بيتنا .

<div>في تاريخ 1/2/2024 اتصل صديق زوجي من شمال غزة وأخبرنا ان البيت قد قصف نحن صدمنا وبكينا ولم نصدق وعند وصول صور البيت وهوا مدمر لقد انهرنا وتدمرنا نفسياً لم يبقى لدينا شيء منزل من 6 طوابق لأب زوجي وبها مكتبة لقد تدمرت تم قصف المنزل من الاسفل والذي تبقى لا يصلح للسكن سوف يتم ازالته لانه تدمرت الاساسات . عند معرفتنا بقصف البيت لم يعد لدينا حياة ولم يعد لدينا أمل بالحياة

<div>My name is Christa Robinson and I am a graduate student at Michigan State University who works on issues of social justice. Since early summer 2024, I have been creating fundraisers for Palestinian families at their request. My Gaza family has grown to 12 fundraisers, and some of those beneficiaries have met and have been helping each other. They share their lives with me, working through a language barrier, culture barrier, and a seven hour time difference to try and relay their stories to me. Over the last few months I have been there for births and deaths, birthdays, celebrations, sorrows, grief, and fears. They think of me as dear friends or family, and some of them even call me Mama Christa or Mama Christia.

<div>My dear friends in Gaza have lived most of their lives under a brutal occupation and the last 15 months of their lives have been under a genocidal war. While there is a ceasefire now in Gaza, there is not an end to stochastic violence and ruthless blockades so Palestinians who were already subjected to widespread poverty must continually plead for donations in lieu of international support and humanitarian aid, lives of achievement notwithstanding.

<div>My friends must now start over while grieving tremendous loss of life among their neighbors, friends, and family and amid unimaginable destruction. The entire civilian infrastructure and means of sustaining life was maliciously targeted. Over 90% of the homes have been destroyed, the health system has collapsed, churches and mosques have been obliterated, water and sewage treatment has collapsed, there is no electricity, and there is widespread disease and famine but little humanitarian aid or international aid. 
</div>

<div>My friends who are from the north are no longer speaking of their homes being reduced to rubble but that they have been reduced to dust. They have all witnessed death violence and destruction on a daily basis and have fled for their lives under fire. They have lived in tents that were quickly damaged by the winter weather and the hot summer sun, as well as by theft and vandalism. They have had many injuries due to the war, and sustained lung damage and infections from the conditions there. There are no psychological or counseling services made available to them, there is a blockade on transportation home, and it is largely up to each family to retrieve their dead and without tools to dig them out from under the rubble.
</div>

<div>Individual fundraisers like these are an attempt to make up for the lack of infrastructure and application of international law. It can be very difficult and frustrating, however, as there seems to be an empathy gap for Palestinians, compared to other causes and their pleas are often ignored or held in great suspicion. The money that you see raised is spent as it comes in as prices have been astronomical and the will of potential donors to contribute has been tepid. Please help us change that by donating to this campaign and sharing it among your friends.

<div>Your donations will be used to meet the basic needs of the beneficiary, including food, medicine, clothes, shelter, and household items, as well as transportation and for some, education costs. After months of war, they are starting a new life where they used to live, but now it looks as unrecognizable as it is unlivable. <div>I’m Abedallah from Gaza. I had a beautiful life before the war. I was working and studying at my university and graduated just months before the war began. Then war came upon us on October 7th, 2023, and so soon after my graduation day, I lost my university, my home, and my job to the war's destruction.
</div>

<div>I have been displaced twice and have suffered through many losses. The first time I was displaced from Gaza to Rafah living in a tent until it flooded after seven months. Then without shelter, I was forced to flee again to Deir al-Balah, where I have faced bombardment and lost dear friends to the attacks on school shelters and refugee camps. We Palestinians are barely surviving facing shortages of food and water. We lack basic necessities for survival, and now we are being displaced again.

URGENT NEED FOR HELP FROM GAZA

<div>Orphans run a special place in our hearts. My father and I (Robert) couldn’t sit back and watch children and disabled children starve living on the streets of Uganda.

<div>That’s why we came up with our organization “Disabled Kids Rescue” to help orphans and reduce the number of children sleeping on the streets. We took in 54 children some of which are disabled.

<div>My father passed away and I want to continue his legacy of serving others. Giving hope to the hopeless. Providing help to insure these little ones futures.

<div>We face many challenges one of which is having no access to clean water. The children and I travel great distances to collect poor quality water.

<div>Providing enough food for the children is a great challenge we face. They go days without eating. My heart breaks with their cries of starvation.

<div>My vision and dream is to have access to clean water with a water tank we can have close by.

<div>To build a school to support education in our community. Many children walk long distances to schools. Most education is held under trees outside.

<div>To build our own orphanage that the children can call home. Along with enough land to have our own crops and livestock. So we can be self sufficient.

<div>As well as providing medical care and treatment for the children. Providing them with all the necessary resources and equipment they need.

But what I hope for is to be able to travel with my family, my son, who is one year and a month old, and my wife, who is pregnant now and faces all the dangers of this war, including panic and fear. In the recent war, Gaza has truly become the world's largest prison. This is not an exaggeration but a harsh reality. Gaza has endured the most severe forms of injustice and deprivation throughout history for seven months. Nearly every inch of Gaza has been destroyed - hospitals, homes, nature, and humanity.

He sees nothing in this war except malnutrition and hears nothing but the sounds of bombing and terror everywhere.
