<div>This fundraiser is to support our favorite sober queen and meme admin, Michael, and her two young sons as they face the unimaginable—after a solid few years of facing the unimaginable. In 2024, Michael’s husband Greg was unexpectedly diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. In 2025, he received a life-saving kidney transplant. During this time, Michael was dealing with on-and-off unemployment due to market conditions, all while caring for Greg as their medical bills mounted.

<div> As Greg’s health improved following the transplant, Michael’s father was diagnosed with aggressive leukemia. Michael shifted her focus to spend a majority of her time caring for him, even preparing to be a bone marrow donor. Sadly, his health never stabilized and he passed away in March. Then, just this week, another shock: while out walking their dogs, Greg suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and died. Michael is now unemployed, a widow, and left to care for her two young boys, plan a funeral, and handle leftover medical debt.

<div> These funds will go toward funeral costs, medical debt, cost of living (rent, food, children’s expenses), and therapy or bereavement support services. Most of all, this fundraiser is meant to give Michael the time and breathing room to grieve, care for her children, and begin rebuilding without the added weight of immediate financial pressure. Sober community, if there’s one thing we do, it’s rally for our own—let’s come together and support this mama.

<div>What can I say about George Charles Thompson. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandfather/great grandfather but most importantly a father to my sister TaShawna (Toocan) and me. He beat cancer once, only for it to come back. Despite him being weak with this disease, he still managed to care for his elderly mother, Anna May Young ,who is 102 years old. He was a soldier who honorably served in the Vietnam War. My father was and will forever be my role model.

<div>Meet Christian Foster. Christian is a 29-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, with a heart as big as his smile. A proud Carroll High School alum, he was a talented athlete with dreams of going far—until life threw an unexpected challenge his way. What began with unusual symptoms and repeated falls during basketball practices turned out to be something far more serious. Christian was initially diagnosed with a rare parathyroid adenoma that ended his athletic dreams. But the deeper issue surfaced in November 2023—Christian was officially diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA) Type 3.

<div>SCA is a rare, inherited, and progressive neurological disorder. It affects coordination, balance, and movement—and it is terminal. There is currently no cure.

<div>Despite the diagnosis, Christian isn't giving up. He’s pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity at Clark State University and working a few hours a week at a local gym to maintain his independence and mobility. But as the disease progresses, Christian’s symptoms have worsened—especially triggered by cold weather and sudden weather changes.

Along with Christian’s sister, Alexis, they are committed to being his primary caregivers as his condition progresses.

Help Christian Foster with Medical Expenses and Care

<div>Many of you know that we lost my dad on April 1 after a long battle with cancer. He was a loving, generous father and husband with a great sense of humor. My parents were married for 54 years and were truly each other’s best friend. His loss has left a gaping hole in our family and the past few weeks have been grueling. My mom spent the last three months taking care of my dad, and during this time, my sibling took a substantial amount of money from her without her knowledge. He then left the country just two days after my dad passed away, and as a result my mom is now struggling to cover basic expenses like food, medicine, and essential bills. She needs financial help and deserves time to grieve without having to bear this burden.
