This fundraiser is to support our favorite sober queen and meme admin, Michael, and her two young sons as they face the unimaginable—after a solid few years of facing the unimaginable. In 2024, Michael’s husband Greg was unexpectedly diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. In 2025, he received a life-saving kidney transplant. During this time, Michael was dealing with on-and-off unemployment due to market conditions, all while caring for Greg as their medical bills mounted.

As Greg’s health improved following the transplant, Michael’s father was diagnosed with aggressive leukemia. Michael shifted her focus to spend a majority of her time caring for him, even preparing to be a bone marrow donor. Sadly, his health never stabilized and he passed away in March. Then, just this week, another shock: while out walking their dogs, Greg suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and died. Michael is now unemployed, a widow, and left to care for her two young boys, plan a funeral, and handle leftover medical debt.

These funds will go toward funeral costs, medical debt, cost of living (rent, food, children’s expenses), and therapy or bereavement support services. Most of all, this fundraiser is meant to give Michael the time and breathing room to grieve, care for her children, and begin rebuilding without the added weight of immediate financial pressure.
