<div>An Update: Helping Rasham’s Children Move Forward
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared this fundraiser, prayed for us, and sent love. Your generosity helped us pay for my son Rasham’s services, and I am deeply grateful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since we started this fundraiser, our family’s needs have changed. As we grieve Rasham’s death, I am stepping in to help care for his children. We are still working out the living arrangements, and I am working toward securing a home where they can live with me and have stability, love, and support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to be transparent: remaining funds after the costs of Rasham’s services, along with additional donations, will help with housing for our shared household, including a rental deposit and rent, basic furniture, groceries, moving expenses, and the children’s everyday needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nothing can replace their father. My hope is to help them feel safe and supported as we navigate life without him, one day at a time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able and feel moved to help, any amount is deeply appreciated. Sharing this fundraiser also means so much. Please know that your prayers, kindness, and love are valued whether or not you can donate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for helping us honor Rasham and care for the children he loved so dearly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Rosemarie and Family
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>_____________________________________________
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Rosemarie, and I am Rasham’s mother. Many people knew him as Shon. On September 22, our family lost him to a sudden act of violence. We are heartbroken and still trying to take in that he is gone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shon was a father, a son, and someone who cared deeply about the people around him. Even in difficult moments, he saw the humanity in others. We want to give him the loving celebration of life he deserves and be there for his children as our family faces the days ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m asking for help with his funeral and celebration of life expenses, along with related costs for our family to gather and honor him. If funds remain after those expenses, they will go toward supporting his children as they adjust to this loss. I will share updates as plans and costs become clearer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any amount helps. If you can’t donate, sharing this page or leaving a memory of Shon means so much to us. Thank you for loving my son and for holding our family close.

Help Honor Rasham “Shon” and Support His Children

<div>Hi. I’m Tony, a co-organizer of this fundraiser hoping for your kind and urgent help for Xu Olivera, who is struggling with serious health issues complicated by a disabling injury.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Xu is a remarkable, inspiring Zapotec woman living in San Cristobal, Mexico.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I met Xu by chance several months ago at a birthday party. She’s a force, impossible to miss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Covered in tattoos, she sat with both knees wrapped in braces, crutches by her side. Even with crutches Xu can barely get around. Still, she was like a tornado stuck in a chair, belting out jokes and laughing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We began to chat.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a former journalist for four decades, I’ve interviewed thousands of people, including luminaries such as Dr. Jane Goodall and famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Yet no life-story I’d come across in my career gripped and shocked me like Xu’s.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>As a child Xu fled her remote mountain village after her parents and community put her through enough suffering that made the streets seem a safer place to exist.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She wound up homeless on Mexico City's most squalid, violent streets for years. She was hungry, alone, terrified.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And preyed on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For several years she was held in Mexico City under the control of a human trafficking system that forced her to street fight for entertainment.
</div>
<div>“I was this kid fighting grown-ups” she told me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Xu somehow survived this ruthless abuse and trafficking, but remains haunted by the rapes and murders of young girls and women she knew.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to her determination - and the occasional kindness of strangers - Xu eventually rose above that brutal life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One day as a teen in Mexico City, she walked into a Muay Thai gym offering a free lesson. The instructor, noticing immediately she was already a capable street fighter, gave her a scholarship to train free at the gym.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She was so destitute and malnourished during training that, at times, she ate fried “lombrices” (earthworms) for protein.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“I had my first amateur fight, like, five months or four months after. I lost, though.” Yet a promoter who saw her fight asked to promote her. She started training in Taekwondo and Jiu-Jitsu.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Around age 17 Xu had her professional martial arts debut in Mexico City. Later, hearing of more lucrative professional tournaments in Spain, she scraped together enough funds from odd jobs and supportive friends to fly to Madrid.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Using her fists, feet and brains Xu paid for university in Madrid through fighting, coaching and teaching.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After earning degrees in Kinesiology and social work, she returned to San Cristobal, Mexico.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2021 Xu founded REFEMA, an organization that uses her specialized, holistic system to teach girls and women self-defense to help protect them from violence across Mexico. Not only the physical, but she also teaches them logic, anatomy, Law, etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But now Xu needs the help of friends - and the kindness of strangers - to fight her toughest battle - with her own body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On April 26, 2026 while working out at a gym, a training partner accidentally hyper-extended her knees, tearing all four meniscuses and spraining her anterior cruciate ligaments.
</div>
<div>As well, Xu has struggled for years with a number of chronic illnesses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Among them is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder affecting her connective tissue. She also has fibromyalgia and Dysautonomia, a nervous system disorder that causes symptoms such as fainting, fatigue, and heart palpitations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Though she works teaching autistic children, her knee injuries on top of her other conditions have greatly reduced her ability both to work and to travel Mexico with REFEMA helping women and girls learn to defend themselves against the violence Xu experienced herself for much of her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Xu loves to dance, swim, walk and play with her dogs and coach her specialized martial arts system through REFEMA. But she is now, depressingly, mostly confined to her home where she lives with her two German Shepherds, Vulcan and Astra, and her cat Capu.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When a friend and I visited Xu recently, he carried her on his back upstairs to her bathroom. When she is alone she crawls up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Xu works teaching autistic children online. But has lost income since April.
</div>
<div>She’s had to cancel classes because of physical and mental exhaustion since her knee injuries and flare ups in her other conditions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She’s currently struggling just to pay her rent, let alone the cost of physio for her knees, or the medications and treatments she needs to get back to her more vigorous self.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“I don't have and I've never had family to help me or take care of me,” Xu told me recently.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“But I have not stopped helping women in need. Yesterday morning I had two calls to answer legal questions and I don't charge for that. Between June and July I have provided advice and access to medication to three women who needed an abortion.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A fiercely independent person who would rather be helping others, Xu was reluctant for anyone to help her start a Gofundme. It took convincing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds raised to meet our goal (about $10,000 in US dollars) would help this courageous, caring survivor of horrific violence cover her medical treatments, rent, food, dietary supplements, taxis and other expenses in Mexico for about six months.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By then, Xu hopes her knees and other conditions will have improved to the point where she can be the hardworking independent person she was before.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any excess funds raised will go to continue her campaign to reduce violence against women and girls through REFEMA.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We thank everyone for your financial and emotional support for Xu and all you can do to share this Gofundme with others across the world.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve been following along lately, you know how much I love the vibrant culture, warm community, and colonial charm of Mérida. It’s a city that captures your heart the moment you arrive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But for new residents, digital nomads, and extended travelers, finding the perfect place to land can be tough. You want the flexibility of a <strong>month-to-month stay</strong>, the comfort of a fully furnished home, and—most importantly—a community so you don't feel isolated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why we’ve been quietly working on a massive project right in the heart of Centro Mérida.

</div>

<div>In addition, whatever legalities I may face, I think I’m going to need a lawyer and I’m broke. <strong>4/5 of my kids' birthdays are in December and both of the incidents that I’ve been involved in have hurt my pockets drastically.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

<div>My name is AJ, and I need your help after something I never thought would happen to me. I was simply doing my job that day going door-to-door to hand out information about neighborhood utility upgrades that people had already been notified about in the mail. I wasn’t selling anything, just leaving information like I always do. After working in the area for about an hour, I knocked on one more door. The wife opened it, and I could tell immediately she was upset. I politely said, “I’m so sorry if this isn’t a good time. My name is AJ, and I’m the project manager for the upgrades in your neighborhood.” Instead of just closing the door, she called her husband. Her husband came running out, and before I could even step off their porch, he started screaming the N-word at me, yelling, “Get off my property! Get out of my neighborhood!” I was already walking away when I realized both of them were coming after me. That’s when I pulled out my phone to record because in that moment, I was terrified for my life. I have a 4-year-old daughter to take care of, and since this happened, I haven’t been able to bring myself to go back to work. That fear lives in me now. I never imagined I would be threatened and attacked with hate just for doing my job. I am asking for your help during this difficult time while I try to recover from this and find a way to provide for my little girl.

Help AJ Provide for His 3-Year-Old Daughter After a Racist

I was witness to a racist attack today in West Hollywood. While stopping at Pavilions, I heard a commotion happening outside my car. When I stepped out, I witnessed a white woman attack an African American security guard. I heard her at least three times call her a N******.  The security guard had apparently stepped in to check in on the woman when she saw her breaking something on the ground, I did not see that part but what I did see made me so angry, I just wanted to take some action. <br /><br />There is NO REASON in this world to use that language to demean a fellow human being. The color of our skin is just a feature, as is your height, hair color, etc it is nothing more than melanin. <strong>We need to stop this hate</strong>. <br /><br />I have heard and seen these on the internet before but to experience this is person is SO MUCH WORSE. The fact that someone can be so demeaning, so hateful, towards someone else, especially someone they don't even know, and can immediately go to calling that someone the most dehumanizing words, is definitely something that wakes you up. So I decided to film it, and to take action.<br />If you could have seen the face of pain, sadness and just complete overwhelm on the security guard as this woman berated her with the N word. To see that anywhere, to see that in a place as inclusive as West Hollywood is, was just too much. <br /><br />It saddened me to hear the security guard say how she can't take this anymore. She told her fellow security guard to call her boss and let him know she's quitting. To drive someone to that level, is just beyond me. She attacked her, she bit her, she cut her face, and she dehumanized her. I just can't let this woman go unemployed because of that monster.<iframe media_type="0" media_id="8jseDNbtQgs" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8jseDNbtQgs/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe>So if you can help me, I set this up so we can all show her how this is not going to be tolerated and how we can show her that this is NOT WHO WE ARE, this is NOT AMERICA; we are one people, we are together in this and there's more of us than of these haters.<br /><br />I commit to go to Pavilions and get this woman's information to give it to GoFundMe. EVERY SINGLE PENNY FROM THIS WILL GO TO HER.<br /><br />LET'S TURN AN ACT OF HATE INTO AN ACT OF LOVE. <br /><br />I am posting the edited version of the video here but sharing the unedited with the news. I did not want to encourage any further evil by posting the guy's license plate here. The police intervened, they were fast and professional, the Sheriff's office has the assailant so let's let them do their work.

He was gunned down just for being there. The killer then shot at the gas station and its occupants. The killer was later apprehended by Las Vegas Metro Detectives.<br /><br />Curtis' daughter, mother June, his siblings Christal and Christopher and his family Coast to Coast are devastated by this senseless and evil act and are struggling to find the funds to secure Nyaja's future. Nyaja has lost a provider and guardian so we are asking all friends and family to contribute whatever finances you can afford to cover the cost of Nyaja's future education and life expenses. <br /><br />Here is a little more about Curtis' only child:<br />Just 17 years old, Nyaja is a model student with big plans to become an Anesthesiologist. She graduates high school on June 22, 2022. Just like her father Curtis, she is highly intelligent and extremely motivated. Let's uplift this ambitious young lady!<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/61073841_163634233320667_r.jpeg" alt="61073841_163634233320667_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />

Help Support Curtis' Daughter "Nyaja Abraham"

DETROIT, MI. What happens when a couple racist Anglo-American (i,e, white women) move in the neighborhood, get together deciding they don't want you there? They call the police on an innocent black man for no reason and HE GETS ARRESTED ON FRAUDULENT CHARGES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF!!!<br /><br />Deborah Nash, Jennifer Morris and Martha Callahan told officers a local urban gardener was a pedophile, was threatening them and even pulled a gun out on them (police footage shows that when the THREE squad cars arrived he was raking leaves)! In court they CRIED and LIED their asses off. These white women with self inflated egos thought they could send this man to jail for NO REASON to get their way. After fumbling multiple lies on the stand, discrediting one another and explaining how RBG colors are offensive and gang related, they tucked their tails and ran. Not even watching for the verdict of NOT GUILTY after dealing with their harassment for OVER A YEAR. They wasted EVERYONES time, money and resources to falsely discredit this mans name.<br /><br />This man has lost wages, contracts, business opportunities etc. He has spent thousands on bonds, fee and lawyers. These women have taken farm supplies and done everything in their power to prevent this community garden from happening. We appreciate all donations to improve the farm (that has been sitting idle for SEVEN MONTHS as this man fought for his rights). These women harassed this man for over  a year, it should have never even made it this far, but it did and we are moving forward rebuilding our community.<br /><br />NOTE: As stated in the update, I am a close friend of Mr. Peeples (who has been added as a team member on this GoFundMe) and reside in Detroit, MI. I am an avid volunteer at his garden site, even tending to the site as much as possible during the trial when he was unable to be on the premises. I have been a witness to this entire ordeal since day one and started this donation page because he deserves better. The kind words and support is very much appreciated and these donations will go directly to Mr. Peeples to be used at his discretion.

This campaign is to assist Seven family with funeral and memorial expenses, lost wages, and to support Tami in finding justice and resolve for the death of her only child.<br /><br />These are the initial videos documenting her complaint to Kerrick Elementary and with the JCPS School Board.<br /><br /><a href="https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918686628326219/"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918686628326219/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918686628326219/</a></a> <br /><br /><a href="https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918656721662543/"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918656721662543/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918656721662543/</a></a><br /><br /><a href="https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918655121662703/"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918655121662703/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/dudleyqky/videos/918655121662703/</a></a><br /><br />Here is Tami's News Interview on January 21, 2019<br /><a href="https://www.facebook.com/theeREALjonjohn/videos/10156872209463490/?notif_id=1548089157318552&amp;notif_t=friend_tagged_in_live_video" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/theeREALjonjohn/videos/10156872209463490/?notif_id=1548089157318552&amp;notif_t=friend_tagged_in_live_video</a><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/36384380_1548022270842085_r.jpeg" alt="36384380_1548022270842085_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/36384380_1548022293706389_r.jpeg" alt="36384380_1548022293706389_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/36384380_1548022313351798_r.jpeg" alt="36384380_1548022313351798_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/36384380_1548022683216732_r.jpeg" alt="36384380_1548022683216732_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />
