An Update: Helping Rasham’s Children Move Forward

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared this fundraiser, prayed for us, and sent love. Your generosity helped us pay for my son Rasham’s services, and I am deeply grateful.

Since we started this fundraiser, our family’s needs have changed. As we grieve Rasham’s death, I am stepping in to help care for his children. We are still working out the living arrangements, and I am working toward securing a home where they can live with me and have stability, love, and support.

I want to be transparent: remaining funds after the costs of Rasham’s services, along with additional donations, will help with housing for our shared household, including a rental deposit and rent, basic furniture, groceries, moving expenses, and the children’s everyday needs.

Nothing can replace their father. My hope is to help them feel safe and supported as we navigate life without him, one day at a time.

My name is Rosemarie, and I am Rasham’s mother. Many people knew him as Shon. On September 22, our family lost him to a sudden act of violence. We are heartbroken and still trying to take in that he is gone.

Shon was a father, a son, and someone who cared deeply about the people around him. Even in difficult moments, he saw the humanity in others. We want to give him the loving celebration of life he deserves and be there for his children as our family faces the days ahead.

I’m asking for help with his funeral and celebration of life expenses, along with related costs for our family to gather and honor him. If funds remain after those expenses, they will go toward supporting his children as they adjust to this loss. I will share updates as plans and costs become clearer.
