I just want to be able to get my medical stuff under control and get the equipment I need very much to live and watch my 4-year-old grow and become a man. I don't wanna keep getting stuck in the ICU due to my health issues not cooperating anymore, let alone I can't afford to keep having to pay out of pocket when I am truly unable to work due to uncontrolled type 1 diabetes, gastroparesis, and severe neuropathy. Hello, my name is Jordan Hartman and I have type 1 diabetes that is far from under control. I am in need of an insulin pump at this point. The doctor says she thinks my pancreas has finally shut all insulin production off. Also, I'm on Medicaid Anthem, and I thought it was still covering everything, including my medications. I am unable to work due to my health. I mean, I've got ADHD, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, depression, bipolar 2 disorder, and neuropathy. I've recently been informed some of the insurance stuff has apparently changed on what they will cover and what they won't. I am unable to work due to these health problems I hate having to bother anyone or ask for help because I'm used to figuring it out myself. I don't wanna seem like I just want a pity party because that's definitely not what I am trying to get. I just wanna pay off these medical bills and for my medications that are absolutely necessary for me to live. The insulin pump is what I need because doing my shots isn't good enough anymore. Now I honestly need it to be continuously monitored. Besides, my Dexcom G7 does help a lot but still isn't quite enough to keep me out of the hospital. I've been hospitalized 13 times in 2025 alone with very high blood sugars. In May, it was over 1100, and then like 3 weeks ago, it was over 2100 and 2300 a little over a week or so ago. They couldn't believe I woke up, honestly.

Hi, my name is Jordan Hartman and I am a very brittle type 1 diabetic, unfortunately. I did not find out until I was 21 years old, and I am now 32. I've been hospitalized for my blood sugar 13 times this year, 2025. My sugar was over 2300 about 2 weeks ago, and a few days before that, it was over 2100. They thought they had it under control, but honestly, I need an insulin pump at this point. My doctor says my pancreas has probably stopped making any insulin on its own. Also, I have gastroparesis as well as severe neuropathy. My hands are starting to not function correctly, and my feet always feel like I'm walking continuously on something sharp. It never gets any better at all. My insurance used to cover all my appointments and hospitalizations, but I have just recently learned that they have changed some of the things they cover now. It has really caused me a lot of panic attacks and has me losing even more sleep than I was already having problems with. I am unable to work due to my diabetes getting worse and worse, so I don't have income, and I don't know what to honestly do other than ask for help. Even though I really wish I could figure it out, so far, the bills just keep piling up higher and higher.
